We are looking to replace the facade around the flat roof of our townhome complex. Casey came out several weeks ago to provide an estimate. He stated that he thought their bid would be higher than others because they would need to rent scaffolding. He gave me a "back of the envelope" estimate and said to call him if we were interested in a full proposal. I liked Casey very much and was impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. As we have spoken with other roofers, we have found that all of the roofers would need to rent scaffolding and Casey's bid was not out of range. Over the last few weeks I have called and left two messages on Casey's cell and on the office voicemail hoping to obtain a full proposal. I also sent Casey and email. No response. At all. Had our flat roof redone by another roofing company a few years ago when we bought the house. When it was time to do maintenance that roofing company was basically unreachable or unwilling to schedule me, so I gave AAA Roofing a call. So glad I did. Casey came out and looked at our upper and lower roof. He took pictures and gave me a detailed explanation of what he thought should be done. He explained that our upper roof (which we had never redone) would need a re-roofing at some point. But he didn't push that on me, instead he gave me a few options and quotes. We decided to just do the maintenance this year. Scheduling with Yesenia was super easy and convenient. After the recent rains, a couple of leaks in our roof became apparent. There was a pretty significant wait to have someone come out for an estimate, but that's understandable given the volume of folks who were, I'm sure, in the same boat as me. In hindsight, it was WELL worth the wait. Lee arrived at the beginning of the 1 hour window I was quoted (to the minute), and was completely pleasant and professional. I gave him the rundown of where the leaks were, and three minutes later he was up on my roof. 15 minutes after that he was at my front door with video footage of what he had found. The roof looked completely flawless to me, but he had managed to find the very small imperfections that had caused the leaks (basically, a nail under the edge of a tile that was raised maybe a quarter of an inch, a tile that has slid out of place by a half inch or so, and a couple of hairline cracks in another tile). Given the size of the flaws, it's not hard to imagine that he was up there on his hands and knees with a magnifying glass. Anyway, I was fully expecting him to then begin discussing what it would cost to fix the damage, but instead, he proceeded to show me video footage of the repairs that he had already made, and which he refused to allow me to pay him for. Being the owner of a 60 year old house, I've had my fair share of "experiences" with contractors and other service providers, and this one was by far the most positive. This kind of honesty, professionalism, and attention to detail is, unfortunately, so rare these days. I know the conventional wisdom is generally to get three quotes for any sort of home repair, and choose the one in the middle, but for anything roof-related I think you're safe saving yourself the time and just going straight to Lee and his team. They were an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. read more

I have found my roofing company for the foreseeable future. After the substantial rain LA saw in January & February this year, I developed multiple minor leaks in my roof. I had a few roofing companies come to look at my roof and offer estimates & potential solutions. While most expressed a need for significant repair work and some even hinted that my roof was ready for a full replacement, Lee from AAA spent 15 minutes on my roof and made some very minor, inexpensive repairs that solved the issue. In fact, he even noted that the condition of the roof was better than I thought, with a remaining life expectancy in the 3-5 year range - so much for the other guys telling me it should be replaced now! Lee cares greatly about customer satisfaction, much more than earning a quick, substantial, yet unnecessary payment. He takes the time to get to the bottom of the problem, and explain in great detail what the issue is, and how he'll resolve it. I wouldn't even consider contacting another roofing company the next time I have an issue with my roof or even when it's ready for a full replacement. I highly recommend AAA. read more

Its not often a construction company gets a high rating from both service and honesty. After the rain storms I had a small leak. I contacted AAA through yelp and scheduled an appointment the following week. I received a phone call reminding me of the appointment the day before and the day of letting me know Lee, the owner, would be early. He came to the house and inspected the roof and let me know that it was a minor issue that I was able to fix myself. He explained what to do and what materials to get. He could have given me a bid and charged me a lot more than what it will take me to fix. I couldn't ask for anything else. Our garage roof has been leaking and we were being told that we needed a new roof by other contractors. We were not ready to spend that much yet so we gave AAA a call after reading some of their reviews. Casey came out and told us we did not need a new roof, but just some repairs. He came out a few weeks later, did the work, showed me photos of all the steps he took after the work was done so I could see the quality of his job. I had a great experience with these guys! I had to resurface my Spanish tile roof after leaks started this winter. I worked with Casey, who met me at my house to go over the plan. What made him and AAA stand out initially from the other 4 companies I received bids from was the time Casey spent on my roof going over all of the areas that needed repair before he wrote me an estimate. I had two companies that didn't even get on my roof before they wrote me a bid, which seemed odd to me. He outlined a few different options, from repairing just the section that was leaking to also addressing other areas of my roof that were in disrepair. Once I contracted with them, the process to get the work scheduled and completed was smooth. Yesenia in their office was always very responsive. The crew Casey used did a great job. Called them because if their great Yelp rating but I seriously wonder who wrote the reviews. We contracted with them and then they had to delay the start date because they were on another job. This caused us a great inconvenience because our tenants were scheduled to move in. We ended up cancelling them so I cannot comment on their work. What I can say is that they advertise a 10 percent discount for new customers in their ads and on Angie's list. When we asked for the discount, they said it was already built into the price they gave us. I see that as misleading and unethical. read more

I can't say enough good things about Lee, the owner. We got a quote from another company and then we asked AAA Roofing for a second opinion. Lee was very honest and didn't want to know about what the other company was proposing to do nor the estimate amount since he wanted to see for himself what work really needed to be done. Lee said that the leak we were experiencing was from an old pipe on the roof that was improperly sealed and that it was a minor job. We told him that the other company proposed re-redoing half the roof and charging over $3K. Lee stated that the job could be done in a few minutes and said that it was no big deal and that he didn't want my Mom (82 years old) to be taken advantage of and that he'd do it for free. I was looking to re roof my house as El Niño is suppose to be here this winter. I am using yelp more and more due to real experiences and reviews. I saw AAA had 5 stars and decide to call them to setup a time and get an estimate. Lee answer my call and was very nice to speak with me while he was on a roof top. He mention how busy he was and was able to squeeze me in about 3 weeks out. I told him that is fine and looking forward to meet him. Well sorry to say Lee was a no show to the appointment. I called Lee asking him what happen but no answer and left him a VM. He return my call right away and was very sorry about the appointment. Lee was very sorry and will go to my house right away. We agree with the time schedule we both had I didn't need to be there and he will call me once he is on my property. Again no call so I had to move on with another roofing company. I guess in the long run everyone is thinking same thing is to re roof before El Niño. All the other roofing company I called came over and gave me an estimate. All companies told me that the phones are ringing off the hook. I think Lee was really trying and have good intentions but I was not able to meet him to confirm. read more

Called AAA Roofing based purely on the Yelp reviews for an estimate to repair a leaky roof. Lee called me back promptly and arrived when he said he would. Explained everything very clearly to me as well as the job that would be required. The first thing Lee said to me was that I did not need a new roof, the exact opposite of a roofer I had come out a couple years earlier for the same job. That roofer wanted me to consider changing out the entire roof (I did not get the roof repaired then and lived with the leak for a while). I liked Lee for the start, he seemed very honest and fair. I like to go with my gut on these things and I was NOT disappointed. He arrived on time on the day of the job and finished when he said he would. He even spotted other issues which he fixed for free (as other reviews have said). Also the final charge came in under his bid as he was able to salvage some pre-existing materials. One of their reps came by (on time), climbed on the roof, and started to take some pictures. He then showed me the pictures and said "it looks like you had some nails missing so I filled up the holes with some caulking". Other roofers wanted to charge me $900 for the "fix". I called right after a rain storm to have someone from AAA check on a leak. I didn't expect to hear for awhile because I figured they would be very busy after that storm. To my surprise, I got a call from Norma the next day and she said they were busy and it would be about 3 weeks until someone could come out. We set the appointment and Avi came right at the scheduled time. He looked at where the leak was showing up in the house and confidently said that they would take care of this. He went on the roof and came down shortly after with pictures and a detailed explanation of what the problem was. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that the problem could most likely be taken care off with a routine maintenance call and he would not recommend tearing out and replacing a section of roof. I appreciated how informative he was and that he took the time to thoroughly explain the problem. We received a proposal the next business day. A few weeks later someone came out and did the maintenance. Before he started, Lee, the owner came out to double check on what needed to be done. He also patiently explained everything. The next day Avi came back to check on the work and to show us a video of what had been done. Avi and Lee were friendly, courteous and informative. We recommend AAA Roofing Services without reservation. It ended up that our roof was in good shape and it was a bolt hole in our dish installation that caused the leaking. From start to finish everything was A+. Made the appointment easily and staff was pleasant. Lee (the owner) arrived early (calling first to let us know), checked out everything and found the source of the leak. He even went back out to his truck, got some silicone and sealed the leak. He was so kind and pleasant. I asked for some cards so I could give them to people. We would definitely not hesitate to call him again. However I didn't hire them because they wanted to do a whole roof service and their minimum change is too high for just the small repair I needed. This review is long overdue but AAA roofing replaced the entire roof of our 4 unit condo building last September. We, like many other home owners in LA, had some leaks in the past and we were worried about the dreaded el-Niño year we were supposed to have. In anticipation of the upcoming rainy season we reached out to a number of roofers and received a handful of quotes. We decided to go with AAA because Lee was very responsive and helpful throughout the process and was also able to work with us a bit on the price/schedule.
