When it was time to install the guys arrived on time and did an excellent caring job. Roger and his 2-man crew were experienced installers. No young inexperienced guys trying to figure things out. Plus they all spoke English and there were no communication problems. The sunshade is one of my favorite patio remodeling features. We have a 12' sliding door that faces west. I came across AAA Sun Control at a home show, and if the product itself didn't already sell me, the staff absolutely did. She was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the product. I couldn't pass up the price and got on the schedule for measurements. The representative arrived on time, was quick and efficient, and clearly explained that the screen is custom-made, so there would be a short wait for production before installation. To my surprise, the screen arrived ahead of schedule, and setting up the install was easy and hassle-free. Installation day was fantastic! The team showed up on time and completed the entire job in under an hour. They walked me through all the do's and don'ts, provided a maintenance kit, and made sure I knew how to keep the screen in perfect condition. The customer service didn't stop there. I called today after misplacing the instructions (though I still had the supplies), and they were incredibly patient and friendly, taking the time to explain exactly how often and how to maintain the screen. I wish I had good things to say about this company. I brought them out to help us solve an issue with water run off from our roof staining our patio. They put together a plan, as they are the experts, and i signed off on it. The last rain we had it was clear that the solution they provided did not fix the issue. I reached out to them and they are now telling me that there is a minimum charge of $400 to fix the issue. This is absurd and the company does not stand behind their work. There are many gutter companies out there, I would recommend finding a company that will stand behind their products and work. I worked with Robert Valenzuela, he has proven to be very argumentative and unwilling to exercise decent customer service. read more

AAA Sun Control gets a 3 Star "GOOD" rating for me for rain gutters that they installed earlier this year. 2 Stars were lost because the installers, when a down spout drain didn't meet up exactly with a new drain put in the ground using placement instructions from AA Sun Control by a few just a few inches. So the installers told me to call them back when the drain from my landscapers was moved slightly so they could finish securing the down spout, So I gave them my final payment and I took it that they would come pack and finish securing the down spout drain. Well, as it turns out, it isn't that simple. Turns out that AAA Sun Control hired/s outside sub-contractors to do work, my rain gutters in particular. After contacting AAA Sun Control to have them come back to finish the job, they wanted $50+ just for the service call plus what ever and told me that they have to pay for the outside contractors to come back out just to secure a down spout drain. Needless to say I told them to stuff and just finished the job myself. Would I hire them again? They did a good job despite the misinformation but I would do more investigation in other companies but I might hire them again to ensure uniformity in other rain gutters. Moral of this story, don't trust what the installers say, contact the main office and your sales rep before trusting what the installers are saying. One other thing that was a bit irritating was that they woudln't give an install date until about a week out after waiting 6-8 weeks after my 50% deposit. This was a bit frustrating as I was also trying to time things with my landscape contractor. In the end, my landscaper was able to delay certain parts of the project as we waited on the gutters. But be aware, AAA Sun Control is not good to work with in this way if you need specific scheduling. Time will tell how the gutters hold up with the upcoming monsoons. read more

Have to be honest.. got off to a rocky start with some definate miscommunication but this company turned it around and the price and end product are fantastic! I took advantage of the SRP sun shade rebate and they took care of everything. I never had to send a rebate in or follow up. At the end of the day I did 13 new shades, which cover all my windows, and it looks like my house got a face lift! Great job and ultimately great service! After waiting over a month to get appointment the day before they call and state they need to move appt. by 4 days from Tuesday evening to Saturday morning. No problem. Then they call today (Wednesday 8-18) and sate their estimator has been exposed to COVID and they need to move appt again. Okay, I get it don't want to risk exposure your "potential" clients. I call them, they call back. I tell them I'm amendable to moving appt for 3rd time but not waiting weeks to get this estimate done. Tell them I have morning availability (7-9am M-F) or late afternoon availability (2-5pm). Their response? We can get someone out on 8-31 at 11am. Seriously? Ummmm no! Figure it out...I'm the client (well maybe). You've had to move my appt twice and now asking for 3rd accommodate the customer, not the customer accommodate you. Especially since this is on you, the business...NOT me. One would think a manger or owner would reach out to save the sale. I'm betting they won't and don't care. From the rep at the Home Show in Phoenix to the estimator and installers, this was the best experience with tradespeople since we moved into our new home. (and we've had lots) They matched the color of the framing to exactly match our stucco. We were left with a maintenance kit, complete instructions by the installers and a front entry cleaner than when they got here. We recently worked with AAA Sun Control to have them close in our patio to make an AZ room. We also got two security doors and gutters. I cannot say enough how great it was to work with this company! When we scheduled our first appt., Sid was here exactly when he said - and in fact called the day before to confirm our appt. He was great to work with - friendly, helpful and down to earth. No "sales" pitch! Once we decided on what we were going to get done, Ruben then called us and scheduled a time to come see the project. Long story short, every time someone from AAA Sun Control was supposed to be at our house - they were! The work they did was fantastic and they left the area cleaner than when they started! While I was impressed with this company and Brad (our service rep) I was sad their office was nearly 2 months from being able to do our screens which we cannot wait that long. I guess that's a good thing when a company is booked up that far out, I can only imagine them losing business for people like me who cannot wait until after summer to get sun screens installed. Prices were fair and still happy with them, but cannot wait use them simply because how long they'll take to install. Very poor customer service. Very unprofessional. Customer service is what sets the companies apart. This company has the worst customer support. Product and price are usually within a close marginal range, so that is not a major consideration. I chose AAA Sun because of their high customer reviews, however I did not find that to be the case. Sid came out to give an estimate to have all of my windows and two sliding doors done with 80% sunscreens. After giving it some thought I decided I wanted to upgrade a few windows to 90%. Sid changed the estimate accordingly with no problems. The only thing left was to choose screen and frame color and pay deposit. I spoke to Natalie to do this. I told her my door frames were dark and I wanted the screens as close to that color as possible. I explained my computer crashed and I could not access the internet nor could I use the library computers due to COVID closures. She had me text pictures to her of my door frame. She also sent me a picture of their "darkest" frame. The picture she sent had a light tan color frame even though she had a picture of my door frame to use as a guide. Pictures are of my frame I sent, and frame color she sent as a selection. I knew there should be a darker frame that would closely match. (On their website they do have the exact color of my door frame, although I did not know that at the time). She suggested that Sid come out again with a sample. This was a satisfactory suggestion since I wanted to know ahead of time exactly what I was getting and what I was paying for. I also had to sign the contract, which he would bring. She did not give me a date or time that he would come out. She said that he would call me. He finally sent a text the afternoon before he was supposed to come out. I already had a commitment for that day and with such a short notice was unable to change it. I let him know and wanted to pick another time or reschedule. He then sent a rude text stating I would need to find another company. I called the company and spoke to the manager, Christine. She acted as though wanting to verify the color choice was an unreasonable request, even though this is something that is apparently important enough that they have separate places on their contract for screen and frame color selections they want initialed. She informed me that they would not be able to satisfactorily complete the job. She also followed up with an email stating "the small details appear to be of great concern which creates a concern on our end that meeting the expectations at the end may not be achievable." Apparently color choice is now a "small detail" that this company believes it cannot manage or meet. This is the most rude and unprofessional experience I have ever had with a company. They may have had good reviews in the past but they are definitely letting their growth abandon their professionalism, courtesy and customer service. I am thankful I found this out before paying them. I am sure they have more competent competitors that are not challenged by the "small details" of color choice. read more

I would highly recommend these guys for sunscreens and rain gutters and they offer a variety of other products as well for your outdoor living space. Had AAA Sun Control come out to quote on building a cover for our front courtyard as the trees in there were becoming invasive so had to remove but we still needed shade. From the start I felt strongly that we were not on the same page, design-wise, but my husband felt good about the drawing and he signed off on it - so ultimately, this is our fault. I got home the other day excited to see the finished product, and was somewhat horrified to see that the cover sticks out in front of the house in a bizarre way. From a design perspective, it's awful. Can't imagine that's how they thought it should look. I will try to attach a pic so that you can see how difficult it is to match up the drawing that we signed off on and the finished product. We called to discuss and they said it would be additional thousands to take the rafters off, cut them shorter, and re-attach. Again, this is ultimately our fault but my point is, buyer beware - make sure you know EXACTLY what they are going to do, because they are not designers, and if it's not right, they're not going to fix it. read more

I had a 8 am appointment with AAA SUN CONTROL today and the person who was supposed to give me an estimate was running behind and decided not to tell me about his delay until 15 after our appointment was scheduled(he left a voicemail) that he was running an additional ten mins behind. So I called their office this Am to figure out what the delay was and to ask if they wanted to reschedule? I spoke with a male representative on the phone who said he was sorry for the delay and didn't know why the estimator was late. After stating my frustration and how punctuality is very important to me. He decided me to tell me how busy they are and doesn't know when they will be able to get back over to give me an estimate on 15 window screens. Immediately I started to fell like I was annoying him so I decided to say you know what do worry about sending someone to my house I'll take my business elsewhere since you are too busy for new customers. Unbelievable customer service. I ordered rain gutters for my new home and AAA installed them. I then ordered sun shades for the same home a few months later. Well, the owner came out and saw a couple things he didn't like ( I was fine with them), and he had the rain gutter crew come back out and remove them and install new ones. Had them install rain gutters and the did a very good job. Put the proper size rain gutters and placed splash guards in all the proper locations. After several heavy rains they held up and worked great. I called them a year later and had sunscreens installed the held up so far and look great.
