If I could leave at zero I would. My parents had previous work done on their awning in 2021. I…read morecalled them to repair it 2 weeks ago. I called several times and they never answered. I left several messages they never called back. I called again days later & they answered. They had someone go out and give me an estimate and I was told they could get to it on a certain day, that day came and went with no phone call. I called the following day to find out when they were going to get out for the repair. The woman who answered the phone said she had no idea. NO IDEA? What? There is no communication between the front, the workers and the customer, whatsoever. A little back story, when they had previously worked on my parents awning, they put in the wrong size of screws. So it had been going on for years, screws falling out but my Dad would just screw them back in. They would work their way out again, which was a constant thing but it had been too long since they did the work for my Dad to bring it to their attention. (I didnt live in AZ in 2021 so I had no idea this was happening almost weekly). When they came to do an estimate, they admitted that they put in the wrong size screws 5 years earlier. Now it's time for them to do the actual work.And then they don't show up, then they say it's going to be a another week before they can get to it. I wasnt happy about that but was going to take that appointment anyway, he interrupted and said " you know what, to make it easier on everybody I suggest you go find someone else"! They didn't want to deal with my issue and that they're really not making any money off of my small job, just go somewhere else. In the meantime, its been 2 weeks of waiting for them to show up, now I have to start the whole process over. Needless to say, I was shocked that a company would tell me to go somewhere else because they didn't make enough money on my job or want to deal with the situation, but in midsentence of trying to respond, he hung up on me! Mesa Awning does not stand behind their work. Word-of-mouth can be the best advertising and/or the worst advertising. I would never go to this company ever again and I will tell everyone I know not to use Mesa Awning. I looked at some other reviews and apparently the communication hasn't gotten better in 5 years. Also they dont clean up after themselves which is a big turn-off for anyone. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for your awning needs!

Excellent Sales, Poor Workmanship, Ignored by the Company…read more I found AZ Shade Masters at a recent home show and was impressed with their presentation, product, and information about pergola options. I obtained bids from four firms and AZ Shade Masters provided a detailed and competitive bid for my planned 4K Aluminum pergola. Unfortunately, the installation is where things went sideways, and AZ Shade Masters ignored my concerns: 1. White caulk on the roof is visible from ground level - The installer advised "I" can fix this by painting the caulk with matching spray paint, but it may take several coats. 2. Closer inspection with a ladder revealed caulk haphazardly applied with drips left wherever they fell. 3. Frame beams were cut too short, and gaps are filled with wide beads of painted caulk. 4. Metal shavings were left in the rain gutter along with a metal scrap cut to allow water drainage. 5. Gussets of unequal length were accidentally installed requiring the correctly sized shorter gusset to be replaced to match the longer to avoid leaving exposed holes in the posts. The installers had the design plan in hand but suggested they could install my pergola however I wanted. I stressed several times they should follow the plan and was forced to correct them when they attempted to deviate (for example: eliminating gussets when they were to be included and sloping the frame beams instead of installing them level). One even suggested I was "OCD" for insisting they follow the plan. (I DID accept one of their suggestions and shortened the pergola height by six inches which was a solid recommendation). After discovering the caulk issues, I texted photos to both my salesman and the company manager. I also left voicemails and a message with the showroom. I connected with the salesman who advised some aspects of the caulking are "normal" but not all and he deferred to his manager for any remediation. I have heard nothing since from AZ Shade Masters. While the crew was personable, installation quality leaves much to be desired (the photos speak for themselves). I should note the installers have the customer sign a form that there are no concerns after installation is complete. I signed as I was largely satisfied and the pergola looks good at first glance, but closer inspection reveals issues not apparent from ground level. These issues combined with the lack of response from the company prevent me from recommending AZ Shade Masters.

This was a great experience from start to finish. Wanted to get some very large, custom screens…read moremade for our glass and iron front doors where the glass opens. Southwest Sun Screens was one of my first calls based on their strong reviews and excellent feedback. I knew the moment Ryan answered the phone that I was talking with someone who genuinely cared about his company and earning my business. Ryan answered all my questions and offered solutions and ideas based on his extensive experience. It was like talking with a trusted friend who is an expert in his field. He came to the house exactly when he said he would and we talked "everything screens and windows". He is super knowledgeable and friendly and was willing to share best practices and his best results so that our screens were exactly what we wanted. He measured multiple times to ensure everything was perfect and would fit tight. The doors that the screens are going into are custom, and therefore not exactly, perfectly straight and square, though you would never know by looking at them. He helped us decide on the fabric, the frame, the design and the clips to hold the screens in place, always guiding us using our happiness as his barometer, which I really appreciated. Ryan and his partner came back to do the install and arrived exactly when they said they would. The screens didn't quite fit, too tight (no good deed goes unpunished, right? He wanted them tight) and he was beyond apologetic and explained exactly what had happened. He said he felt bad and wanted to get it right for us, but that he would do whatever it takes to remake the screens without costing us an additional penny, and even said if we decided we didn't want them, he would understand. I truly wasn't upset about this at all, there will be glitches with everything, that's not the question, the question is "how does the company handle it?" Ryan couldn't have handled it better, again, keeping our happiness and satisfaction "top of mind." You just don't find this type of caring service very often. He remeasured several more times and we discussed exactly what he would modify to make it work for us. He returned precisely when he said he would, always texting to let me know he was on his way, with the new screens, got them all installed, even installed some weatherstripping I had purchased to shore up a small gap from the door not being 100% square.They look incredible. I couldn't ask for more in terms of quality, timeliness, conscientiousness, care and honesty. I highly recommend Southwest Sun Screens to anyone and everyone, even if you're just shopping around, call and speak with Ryan and he will make you feel like family. The good kind of family, not the "annoying relative on Thanksgiving" kind :-)

I contacted the owner who arranged a time for us to meet so that she could see the piece to understand our repair needs. We came to her place of business where she quickly assessed the best way to repair the canopy so that it would function for at least another demo season. She proceeded to competently stitch the canopy and we were on our way 20 minutes later. Most people would be intimidated by a 53' canopy, but Tatiana didn't even bat an eyelash. I'm happy to report we got the canopy up at the event and everything looked great while also holding strong. Thank you from the Harley-Davidson Motor Company for helping us in a pinch!
