We contacted AAA Tree Care via the Yelp Request a Quote. Steve came out on a Sunday and said he would have his partner, Roberto, come out also to take a look before giving a quote. Roberto followed up, gave us a fair quote, and started the job the same day he gave the quote. Roberto and his crew were receptive to the terms of the job and made sure to complete the tree trimmings and removal according to what we needed done. It took 2 days to complete the work and Roberto followed up consistently to coordinate the work and completion. He allowed us to look at the completed job and made sure we were satisfied with the work before accepting payment. This company was professional, hard working, with very fair and competitive pricing, and was nice to deal with. I kept getting the runaround when it came to getting an estimate. I called on Tuesday and they said they had someone in the are who would stop by and give me a quote. They never showed. I called late in the day and was promised they would come by first thing in the morning on Wednesday. I would be at the top of the list is what I was told. On Wednesday no one came by and I again called them at the end of the day and they didn't call back till lay Thursday. I was told the owner was in the area and would call when he was at my house. Again no call. I sent a text and the response I got was he looked at it and would be calling me first thing Friday morning. 10:30 Friday morning they finally gave me a price and it was above the other estimates I had from people who actually came to the house when they said they would. AAA Treecare of Tustin was fantastic in dealing with a tough job. Very tall pine at the center of my property was threatening to topple over on my house due to strong winds. Robert and his crew deftly moved their pruning truck between county trees to reach my property. They placed heavy plywood boards down on my lawn to protect it from the weight of the truck. They quickly trimmed back the height of the pine tree by 25 feet to the level of the surrounding county trees without debris falling on my new roof. The workers on the ground quickly cleared off the cuttings, removed the truck, and raked the lawn so that it was very clean so that the truck path on the lawn was not even evident. Highly recommended!!! Steve and his partner were amazing! My indoor cat snuck out and got stuck on top of a 30+ foot power pole in our neighborhood. No one would help me get her down, including the fire department, animal control, So Cal Edison, or the police. She was up there for almost 24 hours with no sign of coming down despite our attempts to coax her down with food. I saw the review on Yelp about Steve rescuing a cat from a tree, so I called him to help with my situation. He and his partner were extremely kind, helpful, professional, and effective! We need to remove two palm trees in our back yard and we found AAA online, we have had other tree care companies trim our trees twice a year, but it always took a few week for them to come out whenever we called them. AAA was prompt and on time, we needed the trees removed while we were putting in a new wall, so when I called them and told them I needed them to come out a do the job, they were out that same day. Steve was patient with my never ending questions and understood me wanting to be there for the tree trimming. He arrived early on a Saturday and stayed the until the work was complete. With my experience with other tree trimmers, the owner would come with the crew to give instructions then leave and returning to collect the amount due. We just purchased a house in the area which has a very mature Jacaranda tree that suffered from a terrible pruning job resulting in the tree covered with shoots going straight up about 20 feet. We've reluctantly debated chopping it down completely. I found Steve through his certification with the International Society of Arboriculture. I called and got his voice mail. About an hour later, he called back and allowed me to text him photos. He then dropped by and spend about 20 minutes with me discussing the tree and suggesting how we could go about pruning it ourselves over the next few years to try to regain a more natural shape back for the tree. We have a rental property in Brea, and was told by our gardener that a jacaranda and a birch tree needed to be trimmed/topped off. Doing my due diligence, I called a couple of local tree trimmers for estimates. Two never called me back. When I first spoke with Steve, he suggested that I send him a picture since he was in south orange county that day. When I spoke with Steve again, he indicated that he wanted to go out to take a look himself. He then called me back to let me know that the birch tree may not grow back or may even die from a severe topping. Steve was also forthcoming in telling me his minimum charge to come out just for one tree. After all is said and done, he suggested not to trim the trees and wait. We hired AAA TreeCare to remove a fallen tree and trim up are other trees that we had in the yard. Steve worked with our schedule that kept changing due to the weather. He also gave us a very fair quote. He was courteous and helpful throughout the process. When his Steve and his crew arrived to do the tree work, they were professional, on time, and did everything we asked, and trimmed and cut the trees exactly the way we wanted. The trees did't even look like they were just trimmed. When the trimming was done, they cleaned up all of the cuttings and sawdust. The yard looked as clean as it ever had when they left. I asked for a tree company to remove two trees from my yard. I had used them before. They gave a very low price. But, they did not show up at the time of the appointment and they hang up when I called. I found another company on yelp which is highly recommended. Their price was more than double the first price I got. Then, I called AAA Tree Care. They handled the phone call and the appointment for the estimate professionally. They even came at 8 PM for the estimate since they could not make it earlier and I needed the work done. Their price was still more than the first one but was much more reasonable then the second. They handled the invoice and the actual removal very professionally. I am satisfied with their work and I expect to ask them to come back for trimming the remaining trees in my yard. read more

In obtaining estimates for the removal of two large trees, Steve's estimate was the most reasonable based on the work to be performed. Last June 2016, I hired AAA Tree care and based my selection on the good reviews I read about them on Yelp. I was not disappointed. Robert and his crew were very professional and easy to work with. The main job requires lacing 2 Ash trees and removing 1. These Ash trees were 3 stories high and required 2 days of work. What impressed me most is when he came back on another day and kept his promise to lace up 1 more tree and clean the house gutters as well. Steve came out to troubleshoot a nagging problem with two sprinkler zones that multiple previous experts were unable to resolve. Although the problem isn't fully resolved yet it's obvious to my wife and I that Steve knows what he's doing and that he's committed to solving the problem. We're in the process of scheduling a day for him to return and complete the job. My wife and I appreciate the fact that he's looking for the least expensive, but highly effective solution. His hourly rate isn't cheap, but the old adage is true: you get what you pay for. The only real challenge with Steve is that he's super busy; no doubt a reflection of his abilities and the power of word-of-mouth advertising from other happy customers. He's also a certified arborist who provided us with a very reasonable bid for trimming our trees. We're going to have him come out in the fall to take care of our trees. I'll report back further after the sprinkler problem is put to rest and also in the fall after he's trimmed our trees. read more

Steve was awesome! I have been meaning to write a review on this for some time. A little over a year ago we had our new Kitten get out a climb our 40+ foot star pine and she was there for hours. Yes we called the Fire Department who said "have you ever seen a cat skeleton in a tree"? Anyhow she was there all day it was around a 100 degrees outside and she had stopped crying. We had called many 24hr tree service companies and left messages to no avail. Finally we found AAA Tree Care. Steve was just closing for the day but said he would see if he could get one of his guys in the area out. He called me back in 10 minutes and said he had noone available and would come out personally. He was at the house in under 30 minutes geared up and started to free climb our tree, Lilly was scared and tired but crawled right into his chain bag and we had her back in our hands in about 30-40 minutes. This was late at night on a Saturday and Steve had family plans to get to. He could have said no or not answered his phone or charged us anything and we would have paid. But he was ridiculously reasonable for a late night emergency call to rescue a cat. Something that he did not have to do and he went out of his way to help someone he never met. Steve even called two days later to check on Lilly. Lilly is as happy as can be now and is the friendly neighborhood cat to all the kids.
