My 75 inch Sony TV died after just two years of limited use. I wouldn't recommend a Sony TV to anyone, it sounds like it's all made in China now with poor material according to Bruce and another guy I spoke to. Nevertheless, before calling Bruce, I called the "TV Doctor" - who is another "local" TV repair guy and the "TV Doctor" after immediately hearing what type of TV it was said the TV could not be fixed and I may as well throw it away. It was sad to hear, but considering the "TV Doctor" was an ex-employee of Sony and sounded a bit disgruntled - I thought I would try one more place before throwing away the TV. I called Bruce at Aaa TV repair after seeing the strong reviews on Yelp and he said "I don't like to give up that easily...I think I might have a part in stock that might fix the problem." Bruce charged $75 to come out and immediately got to work a day after originally calling him. He checked a few of the electronic boards on the back of the TV and eventually decided to swap out the mainboard with a new board (I assume new, but who knows) and sure enough the TV powered on - and as good as new. Then comes the awkward part - "so how much is this going to cost me, Bruce?" $350 for the part, $175 for labor = $525 out the door. Fair price considering a new TV of that size was going to cost me $2,500. (I'm sure something Bruce knows). Sure, I might have been able to find the part cheaper online, but who knows if I could have installed properly or if the part would have worked. I was content paying the bill knowing it's nice to have a resource like Bruce in the area. The only way these resources stay available is if we support their business. Thank you, Bruce. I called based on the Yelp reviews. I had an EXCELLENT experience with Bruce. He took time to answer my questions, text and call me as we set up getting my tv fixed. He then advised me to buy a new one. Even though buying a new one would mean he wouldn't get any business. He then called me to talk through how I could buy a new TV, all the requirements and details to help me in that process. WHAT A GIFT. Wowwww.. That's my first expression... I cannot believe what an honest business. I initially called Bruce due to my 2 1/2 year old Samsung constantly going in and out of picture. Bruce was in the field, asked me to text him the model number and he would call me back around 7pm when he got to his shop to try and diagnose it. 7:20 he calls me and said that unfortunately, the model we have does not have screws on the back (typical big brand screwing the buyer and small business to fix it) so he cannot fix it. He told me to buy a new one and gave me about five minutes of advice on where to buy any the best brand. I own my own business as well and have the same heart and soul as Bruce, but it is very hard to find nowadays in business. Twice now, Bruce has quickly come to my house to give me great advice on my Samsung wide screen! Called Bruce based on other's comments here on yelp. Said he would call me back in 15 minutes and did. Asked several questions over the phone about my 10 year old Sony 60 inch LCD. Said most likely was a bad power supply issue and he would come between noon and 2:00 same day. $50 house call charge that would be applied to any repairs. Bruce showed up at noon. Within 8 minutes he confirmed that the power supply was the problem. Rather than taking the power supply board to a shop for an exchange of a rebuilt one, he replaced the faulty component (IC) on the board in my home. In addition he checked, cleaned and tuned-up my settings resulting in a picture that is just as good as new!!!!!! Charge was $300 which I consider fair. I don't know what the value of the component he replaced was, but in labor alone he was here for two hours. He is very experienced and thorough. This guy is the absolute best. I called him and explained to him the trouble with my TV. He asked for the make and model, asked a couple of questions and said, "You don't want to repair it. It's the display panel. It will cost the same as a new tv." He didn't say, "I have to look it at, which will cost $150," nothing like that. I found his charge to be very reasonable. We set an appointment time with a 2 hour window and Bruce arrived on-time and maybe a little early. If there were more than 5 stars I would have selected them. TV repair can be a crap shoot. I went with Bruce from AAA TV Repair due to the high ratings and positive comments he received. I was NOT disappointed. He responded immediately to my phone call; arrived when he said he would; called if delayed. Once he found the problem he had to order a part that was very difficult to find. It took a couple of weeks but he communicated with me throughout this time giving me updates on when the part would arrive. He is very dependable, friendly and a no BS kind of guy. He will tell you if it is worth repairing your TV. Since his price was reasonable (labor charge) and the cost of the part acceptable, we decided to repair our LG TV rather than dumping it.
