Jury Duty lunch hour brought me here after reading cooking magazine about soups. Tried the Panang Curry with chicken, spice level 6. Definitely hit the spot for a cozy warm my soul type of meal. The curry broth woke up my taste buds. Coconut milk was a nice balance to calm and add depth of flavor. Served with side of rice that I would alternate bites with. Staff is punctual, service is quick. Dining area we'll lit and secluded enough to focus on meal. Enter through Stone Brewing gate

Excellent service and great food. Crab fried rice was plentiful, fluffy, not greasy and with a good amount of fresh crab. Quaint spot that I will definitely return to.

Nice interior, smells amazing in here. Excited to try their Chicken Satay and Honey Tangerine Chicken. The restaurant is tucked inside of a larger building. If you go to the wrong door they have signs that point you in the right direction. Many mobile food deliver people came and went while I enjoyed my dinner. If you are looking for a peaceful place to enjoy dinner away from the Gaslamp area, come here. It is a 2-3 minute walk from the Green line Trolley Santa Fe Depot Debit or Credit Cards only, they don't accept cash.

We walked in close to closing time, the lady at the counter was visibly annoyed and said no. We asked to order take out, then she eventually let us order. We opted for an outdoor seating at the courtyard by Stone Brewery Pub. And ordered beer from there. The lady brought out our food. We asked for chilli sauce, she sounded annoyed and gave us 2 packs of sriracha. All other Thai take out I went to have those little pickled chilli sauce and red chilli sauces. It's no big deal cuz we gonna sit outside and doesn't need her service anyway. The Tom Yum noodle soups (got 2 big shrimps, 1 egg, and grounded chicken meat) & Basil chicken rice were delicious! 4.5 star for the food, 2 star for the service. A smile would go a long way.

The place smells amazing and service is quick. Upon ordering, food also comes out quickly and they do a good job checking in if you need anything. However, the food was only ok. The Tom Kha dish had muted flavors and the Massamam Curry was a bit overwhelming with spices. Not spicy, but more like a holiday cookie flavor. I did order a 4/10 spice, so perhaps if I got spicier the dishes would not have been so sweet.

Unfortunately they don't have green curry here which is my favorite. So we opted to order the Pa Nang curry and pad Thai. Food wasn't bad and they gave a large portion. Only one person was working the front so she was keeping herself busy. Ended up having to go up to the counter and pay as she never brought our check. Pretty small place inside. Was a tad warm though during lunch time, wish they turned on the AC.

I ordered chicken Pad Thai from here and it was not tasty. The Pad Thai had very little flavor. The color was light and tasted like slightly flavored glass noodles. Hardly any tamarind. I was very disappointed. I wouldn't order from here again.

Last night we went to stone brewery and they mentioned that they didn't offer any food, but that we could bring in food from the delicious Thai place next door. My bf was excited as he had smelt the Thai food as we walked into the strip mall and he wanted it. We placed our order at stone and walked over to place a food order. We ordered the crab fried rice and they offered to bring it to our table at stone. They were super nice to also bring us 2 plates to share and 2 sets of utensils. This was the most delicious crab fried rice we have had! It had so much crab meat in it! We will have to be back during our stay here in San Diego. We are curious to try other dishes.

Took my coworkers here for a quick lunch and it did not disappoint. The restaurant had some northern Thai food that my colleague craved and I went with my steady pad see ew with soft tofu. The flavor was delicious and everything was great. Parking can be a little hard with street parking only. Besides that, if you want no frill Thai food that is authentic and is reasonable in price, you got to come here. The setting of the restaurant is like a fast food restaurant, nothing fancy. Again, for a quick lunch, they serve you promptly and they make sure you walk out full and happy.

I recently visited Aaharn, and while it wasn't the best, it wasn't the worst either. I've definitely had more flavorful Thai food elsewhere, but this was decent enough if you're in the area and craving something Thai-inspired. The ambiance is nice--modern, bright, and relaxed. Service is good; but the overall flavor of the food just didn't hit the mark for me. That being said, if you're in the mood for Thai food and looking for a nice casual meal, this place might work for you. It won't blow you away, but it's not a bad option either.

    Solid happy hour.

Super tasty! I was across the hall at Stone Brewing and while the beer was tasty (and strong), I wanted something simple as I had been traveling. Happy hour is from 4:30-7. I had the Gyoza and glass of white. Choice of wine was Chardonnay or Sauvignon blanc. I said you choose and I ended up with the Sauvignon blanc. Quick. Easy. Attentive service. Being next to the train station it's not touristy at all. Locals, a couple of cops were all in attendance while I quickly noshed. Those that know, know. Seating is limited.

Best Thai food in downtown San Diego by far!!! Great portions for the price. Not your typical Thai restaurant. Very exquisite dishes!

Does anyone know exactly what peppers they use here? I got the medium spiced noodles and they were just brutal.

I started with the pig ear and tuna, both very delicious. The pig ear was the standout of the night. I would've never ordered it if it wasn't for the recommendation of my friend and the waiter. If you get one dish, get this one. The braised beef was also absolutely delicious, but I was so full. It was equally good the next day. The peanut sauce worked so well with the beef. I got a side of rice to soak up all the sauce, and it kinda turned into a curry. It was a great experience, they are clearly going for a Michelin star, and I would've been for it, but I think they could dial down the chattiness of the staff, a tad. I would've gone back if my wallet wasn't screaming. Definitely will return and definitely recommend for a special night out.

Also loved how tender the sea bass was with the creamy curry sauce and crunchy rice noodles. The sticky rice crème brûlée was perfect with the citrus elements. Only critique is that the sauce with the short rib was a bit too heavy and mostly tasted like a peanut satay sauce. Service was very attentive and the wait staff were incredible. Husband loved the sake flight and my mocktail was incredibly refreshing. Parking on a weekday evening was easy- metered parking nearby. I imagine it's worse on weekends but there is a paid lot nearby as well.

They only had a table for 5 but we ended up having 6 people in our party. They were so kind to be able to accommodate the additional person! They had personalized menus that greeted my party and it wished my friends a happy birthday!! They actually got to take the menus home! This was really a nice touch, I appreciated the details. We family-styled everything which is honestly the way to go so everybody can try a little of everything! It was majority of our party's first time dining there. We started off with some drinks, I got the Non-alcoholic Guava Mocktail and I got to try what was the equivalent to an espresso martini too. Definitely liked the guava drink better because it tasted like guava nectar juice (kind of like Kerns or Jumex). The Expresso Martini had fresh mint in it and it tasted earthy which wasn't my cup of tea. For food we started off with the Heirloom Tomato Salad which was DELICIOUS!! I don't know what they put in the Vietnamese Green Goddess (probably fish sauce since all the dishes basically had this) but it was magnificent and one of my favorite dishes of the night. Then the Scallops and the Black Cod came out. The Scallops came in a set of 3 and we cut them in half so we could all have a taste. The sauce on this was DIVINE!!! It was citrusy but still really flavorful bursting with umami. I'm literally starting to drool reminiscing about it xD We wanted to keep it to use on other dishes because it was so good. The Black Cod was also delicious. It had fried skin attached and a sesame soy glaze. Next up came the Beef Tartare and the Wagyu Steak. The Beef Tartare was probably the least flavorful out of everything we ordered, but it was still well seasoned. My friend said it was really spicy but it might have just been her bite because I didn't think it was spicy at all. I like that the give you the option of leafy greens or shrimp chips to eat it with. The Wagyu though, was an all-star dish. It was the crowd favorite for sure, we all enjoyed not only the steak but the picked baby eggplants that come with it, and the sauce was phenomenal!! Lastly came the Dry Aged Duck which is what they're known for. It was definitely the biggest fish out of all. You were able to eat the duck with two different sauces, one they called a "Fish Sauce Chimichurri" and "Vietnamese XO sauce" which is more so satay. My friends liked the XO sauce but I liked the Chimichurri better. They had actually forgotten about the side of Buttered Rice but I was told it was incredibly flavorful on its own so we still asked for it. It had more than just butter in it, there was dried shrimp and sesame seeds, and it was made with coconut milk or something because it had a sweet but savory taste to it. I saved some of my duck and Wagyu to eat with it which was actually pretty good. Overall I liked that they brought out the dishes from lightest to heaviest and especially after they brought out out 2 sides of Buttered Rice we were all satisfied and full. It was the perfect amount of food. Honestly EVERY dish was different but amazingly dank and I think it's the fish sauce in everything. They were also sweet and kept the cake we brought in the fridge, placed the candles on it for us, and even after we sang they cut the cake for us!! 10/10 would recommend coming here for not only the food but the impeccable service!! Since we had a larger party there's an automatic 20% gratuity already added to the bill, which came out to be $555! (Look at that angel number!)

In our case, the chicken and shrimp came out first, then the lo mein, and much later, the green beans. All of the food was just okay. Nothing was truly a show stopper. I did not taste any honey or walnuts in the shrimp, just a lot of mayonnaise. The lo mein was the best dish of the night. We took some leftovers home in the cute packaging. The branding here is definitely a strong suit. As we were sitting on the patio, there was a steady stream of customers ordering & picking up takeout. Service was fine. We sat for quite awhile once we were done, and we had to ask for to-go boxes. Then about ten minutes later, our server came by to run our cards. Verdict: FS is cute and bustling.
