Produce selection was a little small (we had to go into Sutton's Bay to get oranges, for example) but all pantry items we needed were easy to find. The shop, because it's small, makes checking out a little challenging when there are more than a few folks in there. At one point my mom and I were looking at the ice cream selection and a line of about 4 people filed behind us. We didn't realize the coolers were adjacent to the second cash register! My friend who lives here frequents this restaurant and this was my first time here. We ordered their naan, which was ok (tasted store bought), as they were out (make sure they aren't out), their chicken tikka masala, which was pretty good and their shahi paneer, which was also pretty good. Their food is on the mild side, I got a 3 level but could've done a 5 level. They do give you something to spice up your food. The guy that got the sauce on the side was very thankful that he got it that way as the other guy could hardly eat his because it was too spicy for him. Keep that in mind when you order. All of our friends enjoyed their first experience with Indian food. Just a heads up, we were served on disposable plates. There was a sign on the door that they were missing a few employees so they didn't have anyone to wash the dishes. I don't know how true that is, and while it didn't affect the way the food tasted, it DID affect the experience of eating in a nice restaurant.

I needed a digital photo to renew my passport. I haven't gotten one since back when my passport was first issued, and had no idea what had to be done. Fortunately, a Google search directed me to CVS. A CVS clerk directed me to Ryan. And Ryan handled the multi-step process as smoothly as anyone could ask. Ryan probably does this so often that he considers it no big deal. It was. I'd already been to another business which supposedly offered the service; turns out it didn't. So it was a pleasure to work with an employee who knew his business, did it efficiently, and was mighty friendly while doing it. There's plenty of pharmacies around Traverse City. Ryan and employees like him are CVS's competitive edge.
