Took my jeep there. Said free diagnostic, never called had to call them. Story after story of what was wrong. We knew it needed a transmission part and all they kept saying was it needed a computer reset. They couldn't find anyone to do it. Said it needed a 2 hr diagnosis. Went to get the jeep, nothing had been done and the bill was $300. The jeep was in worse shape when we got it back than when we dropped it off. Took to another mechanic, fixed in 6 hrs, 100$ transmission part. Don't go here, they are supposed to be a transmission specialist and they are far from it. read more

Our car had 1 code on the transmission & this shop charged for an entire transmission rebuild. The service advisor, Jennifer didn't explain where the $4800 bill came from but was taking advantage of a young couple. IF YOU CAN AVOID THIS PLACE, DO IT! They rip people off & they overprice. And they will "rebuild" a transmission just to price gouge. Unprofessional & Jennifer doesn't return calls. read more

I am very pleased with how I was treated by the employees at this shop. I was out of town, driving to my vacation rental when all of a sudden, my car's transmission kicked the bucket. I'm 3 hours away from home, and my car is useless. I get it towed to this shop because they specialize in transmission repair among other things, and had good reviews. While I did not get service done, I got a complete rundown and quote of the repairs my car will need from Emmanuel. The staff is friendly, understanding, and empathetic. I'm grateful I took my car here, as being unfamiliar with the area is a bit daunting itself while also having no idea what is wrong with my vehicle. Despite the stressful situation I was put in, the employees helped to lift some of the weight off of my shoulders because of their knowledge and accommodations. If I ever break down in Bradenton, FL again (although it is not ideal), I'd 100% be coming back. Thank you! read more

FRAUD ALERT!!! ZERO STARS...NEGATIVE STARS!!! This AAMCO tried to rip us off by telling us we needed our transmission rebuilt and it would cost close to $3,000. NOT TRUE! We took it to another service center only to find out that we don't need our transmission built, we need the differential barring replaced & it's only going to cost about $600. Thank God there's still some good people in this world. I've heard that this AAMCO is Bradenton is known for misdiagnosis and overcharging. read more

I went there for a noise in my car. They told me it was my air conditioning compressor and I paid in $1400 to replace it. Two months later it starts making noise again they tell me it's not the air conditioner but keep in mind it is the same noise. Now they tell me that my oil pan is crushed and I should not drive my car and it's 800+ plus to fix. After them telling me that the noise I took a four in the first place I had nothing to do with the air conditioner when I took the second time and it was the same noise. I told him to put my car back together and I was going to pick it up. They gave me pictures of the supposedly crushed oil pan. The oil pan was nowhere near crushed however it was dented. I checked my oil which was totally empty surprise surprise! I filled my oil and check it daily there are no leaks there is nothing wrong with my oil pan. Just trying to rip me off for 800+ plus after already ripping me off for 1400. Stay away! read more

took my jeep here for an issue i wasn't sure about. we were told they do free diagnostics and they'd go from there. okay cool, right? no. we were told the transmission was completely shot and needed to be rebuilt, which would cost $2500+ before labor and any other issues found. after a few days of thinking, we decided not to allow AAMCO to work on our vehicle and we took it to another mechanic. we asked for the written diagnostic and it stated that the transmission fluid "smelled burnt and someone added an additive." this right here was the confirmation that we made the right choice by not allowing them to work on the jeep. the day before we took it to AAMCO, we had 2 family/friend mechanics check the transmission and they both said there was absolutely nothing wrong with the fluid, so they weren't sure if it was the whole transmission itself or something else, but neither of them added anything into the fluid. we took it to another mechanic and just received a call stating that the transmission is in great shape and it was just missing 2 small parts. $800 total. i understand that this is a business, but lying to people for more money is just wrong. do NOT go here! read more

If i could give no stars at all i would. Took my car there multipule times with a check engine light on. Kept my car for 2 days. Told me it was fixed, i picked my car up didnt even make it half way home when engine light came back on and same problem, they didnt fix nothing. Place is a joke read more

Could not be happier. So pleasant, informative and accurate. I'm new to the area and I had a few places look at my car and AAMCO was able to do all the work and said it did not need some of the things I was told it did. Im usually a bit wary of car repairs, but had a great experience here.. I can see some others did not, though. And I like that there is a corporation that oversees customer satisfaction. The job was supposed to be a 4 hour job....turned into them having my car for two days and never fixing it because the part never came in. Was surprisingly pleased with my visit to this aamco. Went to several places and spent lots of money and no one could diagnose why my check engine light was blinking. Took my car here and they were very kind and helpful and were able to diagnose within an hour. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because it was a little pricey to fix. $300 to change the pressure in one of my cylinders but luckily they put the diagnostic fee toward that. Such a relief to not have to look at a blinking check engine light anymore. Haven't had any problems since. Thanks aamco!! read more

Ian, his service manager Lewis and his receptionist Lisa are the perfect professionals. they gave me a quick reasonable diagnosis (confirming opinions from other repair centers!)...told me of repairs that weren't needed immediately and applied no pressure to me at all to have anything done. Their communication was excellent as were their willingness to answer questions. Their price was very reasonable and the car was completed exactly when they said it would be. Lisa was kind enough to arrange for a low cost rental car for me as well as a shuttle to the rental agency. Exceptional professionalism, honesty, manners and knowledge makes me sure that I chose wisely in having this family business do the work on my car. In my life my goal is to find an honest competent doctor and mechanic...I'm halfway there! read more

I need to confess to everyone that I am not a car person or do I claim to know much of anything when it comes to cars. With that being said, I am that guy that takes his car into a shop and believes everything they tell you, because they are the professionals of their field. Now don't get me wrong, I make sure to do my due diligence and try to decode what they are saying that I need done in order to have my car run at its peak potential. My 2010 Mazda was having problems and I took my car into two different shops; one being the dealership that shares the same name as my car. Said dealership explained to me that I needed to have my whole engine replaced and that it would cost upwards of $8,500. Suffice it to say, I quickly became discouraged that my 90,000 mile car was now dead in the water and I would have to make some rash decision on what to do next. That's when AAMCO BRADENTON stepped into the equation. I was without hope and super depressed with what to do and I drove by AAMCO. I gave them a call and an angel on the other side of the receiver picked up and assisted me with what to do next. Lisa calmly took my name and number and expressed to me that she would make sure to connect me to the Customer Service Manager Lewis Daniel. Remember, I don't know anything about cars, and I also just received the worst news I could have ever imagined. Lewis explained to me that a new engine was ridiculous and that he would love to help me figure out what can be done to get my car running the right way. Lewis made me feel positive and confident that he was going to figure out the problem and rectify it as quick and as economical as possible. He called me with updates every day and treated me with so much respect that I knew I found a mechanic for life. Lewis and Lisa successfully took my car from junk to road ready. They concluded that nothing was actually wrong with the car when I brought it into them. When the car was flushed, it must have fixed the problem and Lewis explained that nothing needed to be done. This is the first time in my life that I took my car into a shop and was told that I didn't need to buy more parts and replace the rest of them in order for my car to work. Lewis and AAMCO BRADENTON were absolutely honest with me and delivered my keys back without any charge. (ALSO A FIRST IN MY LIFE) If you are planning on having anything done with your vehicle and don't know who to trust, let me recommend to you this awesome establishment that will not only take care of your car, but also will make you feel good knowing that there are still honest people out in this world.
