    Damage to my vehicle.

I was driving home the other day and a guy in a truck with a trailer tried to cut me off. I didn't let him over so he threw something at my car (I am not sure what) and started speeding off. I called 911 and when I was on the phone with them my speedometer read 0 and the EPS (Electronic power system) starting failing on me, the cruise control wouldn't work, and the mileage estimator was gone. I pulled off and finally decided that I can drive home. I made it home then went to O-riely to have them read the EPS code which was coming going on/ off. I also had them test my battery and he tells me that I need a new alternator and battery then recommends that I go to the Honda dealership. I then went to Walmart and got myself a battery charger/tester and charged the current battery for about an hour and then tested the alternator with it. The tester says that the alternator is bad also. The next day I went to Aamco who said they will do a free evaluation on the car, they tell me that my battery and alternator are fine and they have to do a $200 deep evaluation (they said it was the electrical system). After I left I get a check engine light that never showed up before. Remember I never got a check engine light... I only got the EPS light. The most infuriating thing is that there is a brand new dent on the side of my car that was NOT there when I gave them the keys (see the attached photo). I know this dent was not there because I inspected the car because of the guy who threw whatever it was at me. DO NOT GIVE YOUR KEYS TO THEM! After that I went to Cosco and bought a brand new battery and put it in the car. To do a sanity check I used a multi meter and tested the battery with the car off, it read 12.67 V. Then I tested it with the car on and it read 12.43 V so the alternator is NOT charging the battery like it should be. So... ITS BAD. Took my car for an oil leak. Very professional and fast. Emilio gave top notch service as well as the rest of the crew.

I am old school, so getting the old school treatment in a modern-day automotive shop was refreshing! Here is what I mean: 1 - AJ greeted & guided me into the appropriate bay. 2 - He explained that I could stay in my car where I might be more comfortable or wait in their waiting room (I chose to wait in their waiting room). 3 - He asked for the previous sticker. When he noticed the residue on my windshield from a past oil change sticker (not theirs), he offered to clean that right up for me! When I got my vehicle back, the residue was gone. 4 - He came to the waiting room to inform me of what my cost would be for my requested services. 5 - Mid-way through the oil change, he let me know which of my fluids were good-to-go & the ones that he topped off. 6 - He showed me my air filter, & we discussed when I would likely need to replace it (a replacement air filter was not needed). No guilt or pressure tactics, just helpful information. 7 - When the oil change was completed, he drove it to the other side where they do the tire rotations & came to let me know that my vehicle had moved to the next phase. The guy that completed my tire rotation & took the payment was extremely courteous & very personable as well. He took the time to put a smile on my face when I knew that he had to be hot as hell at 3pm in the afternoon! I wish that I had asked for his name, but not having his name doesn't diminish his part in why I am giving these guys a 5-star rating. Great job all around! TOP NOTCH experience. The team was straightforward, honest, and respectful of my time, which made the entire experience stress-free. In addition to the oil change, they performed complimentary inspections including brakes, lights, fluid levels, and a thorough 52-point checkup to ensure everything was running smoothly. It's clear they truly care about their customers and vehicle safety. I'll definitely be returning for my next maintenance service or checkup. Keep up the amazing work and continue keeping everyone's cars running great. Cheers!

Now I normally take care of all…read moremy maintenance such as brakes, tune up's etc. I have a trust issues with other mechanics and dealerships. But this was fluid service, (the nasty stuff) trans fluid flush and fill, brake fluid flush, rear differential drain and fill, + my AC wasn't cooling as well. I did my homework and gathered about 5 estimates for this service from local shops and Toyota dealerships. Prices were coming in anywhere from $1000 - $1500. I stopped in at Christian Brothers in Leander on Sonny Drive and spoke to Brandon. He text me a written quote, which came out about half of what the other shops were asking. They also give a "Veterans/First responders" discount. Their work was professional, and they communicated with me all the time. They sent a video of a free service inspection of my truck, pointing out any areas of concern. I think I've found my back up mechanic for anything I can't do or just don't want to. Thanks Brandon and the team at Christian Brothers in Leander. My truck drives straight and the AC works like new. Michael C. - Georgetown, Tx.

UPDATE to owners response (Check Photos):…read more I strongly dispute the claim that my vehicle had "years of neglect." I have documentation showing I received consistent oil changes and maintained the vehicle. If Christian Brothers is going to make that public statement, I am requesting that you provide the specific records, dates, inspection findings, and supporting documentation you are relying on to claim neglect. My concern remains the same: I paid for major repairs, the vehicle failed shortly after, and my concerns were not meaningfully investigated. I am not asking for assumptions -- I am asking for documentation, accountability, and a fair resolution. The central issue is the timing. I drove my vehicle without engine failure for months before bringing it to your shop. After relying on your diagnostics and authorizing nearly $4,000 in repairs, I picked the vehicle up and the engine failed within a day. Given that timeline, attributing the failure to "years of neglect" without supporting documentation is an overreaching conclusion that appears designed to shift blame rather than address my concerns. I repeatedly informed the shop that I was preparing for a long trip and wanted everything thoroughly checked before approving repairs. I was told further diagnosis could not be completed until the turbo work was done. After the repairs, I was told the vehicle was good to go, which led me to believe all necessary inspections had been completed. The engine failed within a day of pickup, which is why I continue to question whether everything was properly diagnosed before the vehicle was returned to me. _____________________ My experience with Christian Brothers Automotive Leander has been extremely frustrating. I brought my Hyundai Tucson in for major repairs totaling nearly $4,000. Before authorizing the work, I specifically asked that the vehicle be thoroughly diagnosed and that any known issues or potential issues be identified so I could make informed decisions. Shortly after the repairs were completed, the vehicle developed severe engine knocking and became inoperable. The timing alone was alarming. I expected the shop to take my concerns seriously and work collaboratively toward answers. Instead, I was largely left to manage the situation myself while dealing with towing expenses, rental costs, missed work concerns, and the stress of being stranded with my child. The biggest issue for me has been customer service after the failure occurred. Communication became difficult, and I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than investigated
