The stud was free floating on my rim and Discount Tire gave me a referral to Rush Automotive. I called and spoke to a very friendly person who was able to fit me in same day. (They are closed on weekends.) They're very friendly in person too and offer a very clean and comfortable waiting area with recliners, a giant tv (Ghostbusters was playing, which definitely beats the news!). There are interior restrooms and complimentary coffee and water. The air conditioning is going so if you're chilled easily bring a sweater. If you run hot you should be comfortable! This auto repair shop is located on County Road 172 at the McNeil intersection and is located in front of several other businesses. Inside, they have a comfy waiting room, coffee station,2 bathrooms and free wifi. I brought my car here for a quick fix. The guys at discount tire broke one of my Lugnuts off and sent me here to get it fixed. One thing to keep in mind, is that you do need an appointment, so don't just show up. I inquired as to what other work that they do here and it's easier to say what they don't do than what they do do. They do not do state inspections, tires or bodywork. When it comes to those expensive import cars like Mercedez and BMWs which require expensive diagnostic software, they will usually turn that work down. Otherwise they can do almost anything that needs fixing. Definitely a good option to dealer pricing. read more

I called discount tires after some googling and realized it could be something with the tires. They told me to get that checked before the tires get balanced and aligned. I hit a curb/storm drain at just the right angle to cause some fairly significant damage to my car, resulting in a popped tire and severely out-of-spec alignment issues. After three visits to Rush, I'm thrilled to report they've got my car back to 100%! The first two visits were attempts to perform alignments, but both times it became clear that parts damaged on my vehicle needed replacement (a bent control arm and then a bent tie rod). My tire light came on so I decided to stop so they could check my tire pressure, the technician Austen greeted me and was able to tell me exactly what tire was low so I could go get it fixed. Had a poor experience. They are nice to the customers and their mechanics appeared to be experienced and knowledgeable. They scheduled appointments and got the work out but everything done to the car has turned into additional problems that unfortunately were related to work they did. Took it back once after one repair and they said there wasn't a problem with what they did. Now I have gone somewhere else and discovered they left bolts loose after 2 separate repairs that have led to damage. Found a good reputable shop to use that have gone in and repaired the problems caused by Rush for less and got a 2 year warranty on parts and labor at the other shop. My first visit went smoothly and it was a good experience. I bought new tires on Saturday so I scheduled a service appointment online with Rush Automotive for Monday. I received an email on Monday morning that my appointment was confirmed. I came in and provided my information and it was estimated to take 45-60 minutes. I came back around that time and it was almost done. The advisor was courteous and very informative of the services they provide since it was my first visit. The location is convenient to my work and they even offer complimentary shuttle services. The waiting area was very comfortable with the recliners. The recliners have cup holders. Came in to get my AC Checked out cause it was blowing warm air. They told me they wouldn't be able to work on the a/c since Refrigerant was put in the system with a sealer And they couldn't evacuate the system with out spending 5 grand or more to change out the ENTIRE system (from which they would still have to evacuate the system anyway) because it would "mess up their machine". They also told my my cooling fan was bad and that I wouldn't be able to drive very far for long. I've worked on cars my entire life and know for a fact that my fan was working as it should. I will avoid this shop in the future and really hope everyone else does too to not be taken advantage of.. (especially those who don't know much about what goes on under your hood) Ps.. They are my go to. My first interaction with them, they did the work for thousands less and made $0 profit. They did this because I was getting so scammed by another place. They have customers for life, and were willing to give me a deal to right a wrong (not theirs) in order to have me as a customer. Very professional, thorough, capable, and honest. They do all my auto work. With even an oil change, they do a full look over to make certain I'm safe on the road. As time elapses, and vehicles change, they know my level of want and will give me 2 estimates, one for safely driving, and one to make it like brand new. They give a time frame for all the repairs (right now, 6 months, one year). No one has a crystal ball, but they work very hard to communicate and work with me. They are not perfect, no one is, but they are pretty, pretty, pretty close (had to steal that from Larry David). **One interaction doesn't even stand out, but will go ahead and mention. One time I was going to haul hours away that weekend and noticed loose wires in the back. The owner, Joe, came out right away, did a quick diagnostic, came back, got on the ground in the parking lot, went under truck, did the repair and sent me on my way within minutes with NO charge and a smile!!!!!!! I took my car for a wheel alignment. They put my vehicle on the rack and everything was within the tolerance scale. However the advisor told me that they made some minor tweaks and charged me for those tweaks. I'm a long time customer and in the pass there was no charge for any alignment as long as the vehicle was within the tolerance scale. If that rule changed you should have told me. If that rule has not changed then why did you charge me for a "tweak". Green to Green sounds like a money grab. So just be careful. Additionally they flipped flopped the tire pressure requirements for my vehicle. So just be careful with their attention to details and their "tweaks" read more

I went to 3 other places before landing at Rush Automotive and man I wish I had gone here first! Our 7yo was messing with what he thought was the child lock on our driver's door and ended up messing up our ability to lock the door. First place wouldn't even look at it because they're "booking out through December", 2nd place only had 2 techs on staff today and couldn't take 5 min to see if it's a quick fix, 3rd place said they would have to take off the door panel and likely replace a part that would cost over $400 and over $200 for the labor, costing a total of over $700 after tax and I wouldn't be able to get on the schedule for 3 weeks. At the recommendation of a friend, I took it to Rush and they said it would be a few hours but could give me a ride home and come back to pick me up to bring me back and it ended up being a quick fix like we thought it would be! Slammed on my brakes to avoid a collision, immediately after,my front suspension was making noise. Brought it in to Rush because I live close. I would have left it and went home, made an appointment, whatever was needed, I Jude wanted to find out what was going on. I was told it sounded like I flat spotted my tires. Didn't look didn't offer nothing, even after I explained that was not the problem. I am not an idiot and grew up around cars and people working on them. They insisted that was the issue and to take it to a tire place. Didn't enjoy the condescending attitude so I left. Went down the road to Austin Automotive who took the time and looked at my car. RUSH did an alignment of my MB CLA250 yesterday. On comparing that report with an older alignment report for the same vehicle (also done by RUSH 2 years back), I noticed that these 2 alignments had used 2 very different target specs which was strange. When I brought it up with them, they did not own up the mistake. Neither they had a convincing explanation for the very different targets for the same vehicle. They shifted the blame first to Mercedes Benz, saying MB has revised the spec. Later they said the target numbers were as given by Hunter (the alignment machine they use). The other issue was that I had told them I was doing the alignment of the vehicle due to uneven wear on one tire. The did not tell me that CLA250 does not have a provision to change the camber, so the realignment can not really fix the problem effectively. This they tell after the work was done and I paid them. I have had few alignment jobs done by RUSH in the past, but with this experience I lost confidence in their work and will not go there again. read more

Car has GPS and remote monitoring features and I can see how long it was actually in the bay versus sitting in the parking lot. I did not think after moving here a year ago, I would find a great automotive place like I had in CA. I was wrong, and happy to find this place. I found them looking here on Yelp. I made an appointment for my oil change mid day on Saturday. I was quickly greeted by Jennifer! The place had a lot of people sitting in the recliners. I thought to myself, "Oh, I won't see my car for awhile", so I had my Fiancee meet me there to go have lunch. Jennifer explained the process, and asked if there was anything they would like me to check. I asked them to check my cabin air filter (*and people know...it costs more in labor, then in the part, as they have to get in the dashboard to get to it), and I was told by another place, I might need a new one. After she got all my information, she said she would call me first with price of oil change. Then, call me again, after inspection, and if needed above mentioned, or anything else. Within 10 minutes, I got a call with price of oil change. I said fine. Then, about another 10 minutes, she called to say, I did NOT need a cabin filter (*which was shocking, as they could have easily said "yes" and made money on that, but happy with them on this, it shows, they are trustworthy!), but I did need an engine oil filter. So, I said to go ahead with that. Now, originally, they said it was going to be at least an hour (and judging by wait room, thought longer). She called me in less then an hour after I took it in, and it was done! I was shocked! I came back to the place, and paid for my services, and they did show me all the work I need, just to check up on everything, as my car just hit 60K. But, again, not pushy at all! I am soo happy to have found this place! It was about 30 min drive, but well worth it! Will come back for further needs! read more
