Absolutely awful experience. They try charging for services that aren't even needed. Would never send anyone to this place.

They had to order the part which took quite a while to get in, but they kept our car in the garage out of the elements and we appreciated that and then they finish the job and called us and it works. As far as I know it works perfectly I hope we don't have to find out, but the little light is out now so that's a relief and we've had them do oil changes and other things through the years and we've been very very pleased with them.

Instead of properly diagnosing the bent suspension component, they just threw parts at it. They charged me $731 to replace both front control arms, which completely failed to fix the negative camber. They also charged me a $55 diagnostic fee to "inspect tires and check for cause of uneven wear," and then completely failed to fix the problem causing the uneven wear. To make matters worse, they returned my car with extensive body damage that wasn't there before. There are strange, veiny scratch marks everywhere across my front left quarter panel and the driver's door. I have no idea what happened while my car was in their bay, but it is entirely unacceptable. Mechanically, their work was just as careless. They handed the car back to me with a crooked steering wheel. They didn't perform an alignment after replacing the control arms, which is basic mechanical negligence and will quickly ruin my tires. In fact, on the invoice written by John and Will, they actually printed "DOES NOT include alignment" for the control arm replacement - admitting they left a major suspension job incomplete. When I asked about it, they told me to hold off on the alignment until I paid them to replace both front wheel hubs. Wheel hubs do not need to be replaced in pairs, and replacing a hub doesn't affect alignment anyway. They failed to find the actual bent part, scratched up the side of my car, and tried to hold my car's drivability hostage with terrible mechanical advice to upsell me on unnecessary work. Take your vehicle to a real shop that respects your property and doesn't try to scam you.

BEWARE: Unprofessional, Coercive, and Poor Quality Work…read more This was the most stressful and unprofessional business interaction I have ever had. Between the threats and the defective work, I cannot warn people enough to stay away. Check his official business status before you hand over any money. I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Crawdaddy Mechanix. We brought our vehicle in for a head gasket repair based on a verbal quote, but the final bill was INSANELY higher than what was authorized. We were also left with only one vehicle for seven weeks for a repair that should not have taken that long. When we picked up the vehicle, the owner refused to provide an itemized invoice to explain the price jump until after we paid. When we asked for clarification, he became extremely hostile, used profanity, and threatened to call the police and seize our vehicle to force payment. It was a very unprofessional and intimidating environment. To make matters worse, the truck was returned smelling like cigarettes and it is currently leaking oil. It is unsafe to drive on the highway, and now we are going to be stuck paying another shop to fix the original issue. I would strongly advise against using this shop if you value honest communication and quality work.
