Worked for this same business owner in Laramie, while my shop manager was a LEGEND; the owner Randy Cooke and his wife Krista are the WORST people I have ever worked for. Randy is an aggressive, angry soul who will get furious over the simplest of things and take it out on his technicians and shop managers. Cussing, Insulting....you name it. Do yourself a favor and bring your business to a location that treats it's employees with dignity and respect. And to the Cookes, if you're reading this I hope you both lose everything because you definitely do not deserve what you have. read more

I had a fluid leak under my car. I was told it was oil and paid for repair of the leak. Next day leak was still there. Turns out it was transmission fluid leaking, not oil. So I ended up paying about $600.00 for an oil change I did not need. Not going back there! read more

Absolutely awful experience. They try charging for services that aren't even needed. Would never send anyone to this place.

VERY bad experience!! I do not recommend at all. They will try to get advantage of naive nice people. Long story short, I was getting an oil change at another garage, they accidently pulled the wrong plug and emptied the transmission fluid. They could'nt fill it back up because the check/fill plug was stripped out and they couldn't get it out, so we had to get the car towed to a mechanic. The car get towed to Aamco to get the plug out and replaced and the transmission fluid filled back up obviously. They call us and offer us a free diagnostic so we said sure why not it's free. Turns out my car has 10 thousand issues, one actually made sense cause my car was overheating so we gave them the ok to fix the coolant system ($730 box), Then once the car is ready we ask them about the transmission fluid and plug and the guy said the transmission fluid was good.. what? Impossible. They couldn't even check it without fixing the plug because there isn't a dipstick since my transmission is a closed transmission. We asked the front desk guy 3 times, if he is sure that the transmission fluid is fine and he says yes it is all clear.. before we get ready to take the car back home he says "if anything happens on the way home just give us a call we can tow your car back". Weird my car was running just fine before all this why would he say that? Surely enough we take the car out and it runs like there isn't any transmission fluid so we turn back to the garage and tell the front guy and he still sticks to his word and he says that the transmission fluid were nice and clear.. and that is looks like we need a new tansmission!!! Then I'm like wait a minute my transmission always been fine then he answered "Well I don't know what the other garage did.." Then we lost all trust in them so we get the car towed elsewhere to get the transmission fluid and the plug checked. Guess what, the plug was still striped out and there was no damn transmission fluid!! Aamco lied throught their teeth and even worse they let us drive the car with no transmission fluid then they said "sounds like you need a new transmission" lol. We called the owner of the place and he was basically calling us liars, so I got pissed off since he was not listenning to us and cutting us off over and over so he hung up. Nice client service. Anyway, they are scammers and tried to get our transmission broken up so that they could get more money out of us to get it fixed!!! Incredible. Guys do not go there!! read more

In days surrounding September 14, 2023 I took my minivan to AAMCO to diagnose a check engine light and troubles with shifting into 2nd and 3rd gear. AAMCO said the codes came back as stating troubles with the valves. I specifically asked to a quote as to how much this would cost, because the van is old and not worth much. AAMCO quoted any where from $700- $1200. I agreed to them fixing the valves. They asked for a $900 deposit that would be applied to the work done. After AAMCO took the transmission apart they called and now said the work to fix the transmission would be close to $5,000. I was shocked, I told them the van is not even worth $5,000. This is why I asked them for the estimate and what would be the most it would cost. AAMCO manager offered financing. I refused to go any further with repairs. I asked them to put it back together. The manager then started to quote me a price to put it back together. There was no way I could afford to pay anything more. Therefore, I decided to take a loss and have a tow truck pick up the van and sell it to the junk yard. Mind you we had just paid the plates, put new tires, breaks, and battery on it. This was a big loss financially for us. The manager said we still owed $130.I went into the shop and asked to see an itemized bill but the manager shook it off and never gave me an itemized bill. This to me is very suspect as I presented a coupon for a discount on the diagnostic but the manager said he didn't charge me for that and did not accept my coupon. How am I to know how much time they spent on my vehicle without an itemized receipt? For all I know they only spent two hours but charged me for ten hours ( manager stated 10 hours was spent in labor on my van). How am I to see they did not charge me for the diagnostic without an itemized receipt. What was the extra $130 he was charging me for? I feel wronged that they gave such a poor estimate. I could understand hundred dollar difference maybe but not thousands of dollars. read more

On a business trip and Transmission started losing fluid. After a week in their shop, and two thousand dollars, I got a lousy job done; which lasted less than 90 days. AAMCO Corp, nor this shop, would stand behind their work. ALL they are interested in is a $5,000 complete rebuild job. Turns out it was only a cracked case, and they didn't even fix that!!! Have your car/truck towed to Colorado. Avoid a RIP OFF SHOP. I sure wish I had!!! read more

I have never had a problem taking any of my vehicles to Aamco. The people know what they are doing, especially James, and they always have my vehicles done right and for a good price. I recommend them to everyone. read more

Warning.....DO not recommend ....spend lots of hours on labor to say they need to diagnose your problem((small problem/ ign coil problem)).... hour-2 at most to figure out and fix..... AAMCO spends over week and say you need to have all these other parts to fix problem. $200 or less for this small problem for dealer but over $1000 here read more

We were stranded out of town 1100 miles from home and we went to one car repair place and they quoted us a certain amount and my sister in another state called AAmco here and they said they would meet the price well thank God we went with AAmco they were good enough to tow our truck free here they even towed and stored our U-Haul for us while we stayed at an Airbnb and met the price and put the correct transmission in Randy is a really good guy and Alex is too I would recommend them to anybody Randy took over the franchise bought it in March so previous reviews are not correct any reviews after March 2020 are correct ! I would recommend the shop to anybody. Also they prioritize out of town repairs that are stranded they put on priority! read more

They fixed my Transmission very fast and a lot cheaper than competition

I took my truck in for a transmission fluid flush. They had it for a week when they told me it would take one day. I either had to go into the shop or call daily for an update even when they said they would contact me or my truck would be done the following day. I received several different stories of what was wrong with my truck from - it had leaked all of the transmission fluid and was bone dry to, it was low, to there were multiple leaks of oil, power steering, and transmission fluid. Funny that we had never seen any leaks in our driveway. The office manager, Richard, continually lied to me about my truck issue and cost of repair. He quoted me one price, my husband another price and then when I called again, he tried to charge me an even higher price. When I got the initial quote I asked for an out the door cost. I was told my truck would be done no later than Thursday morning (a week after drop off) When I called, Richard was very short and told me he would call me right back. When he finally called back, he told me the truck was on a test drive and would be back shortly and I could come pick it up. When I got there, my truck was still not back, and it took over an hour to return. While waiting, he charged me over $100 more than his quote and got in my face and told me he would never quote me a price with taxes - isn't that what out the door cost means? He told me my truck was a piece of "sh$t" and we did not take care of our vehicles. WOW!! He was very pleasant when my father in law was in the shop with me but as soon as he went outside, Richard became very condescending and aggressive. While they had my truck they also used up over a 1/2 tank of gas. Wonder what they used my truck for??? I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS SHOP! read more

I took my grand cherokee in for a leak in the steering system and some noise made when turning. After their first look which apparently wasn't in depth enough to locate what was causing either, they requested I authorize them to charge me a shop fee for them to really look at the issue closer to determine what was wrong. After this "in depth" inspection I was told the pressurized steering fluid line and all 4 of the tie rod ends were bad. Well I found it highly unlikely that all of the tie rod ends were bad, especially since I had 2 replaced a couple years ago. The tie rod itself had a visible bow to it so why that needed an in depth inspection to determine it needed to be replaced is still a mystery. I then checked the hose to see if I could find the leak and could not find a source. A few shop towels later the hose and steering pump were all cleaned off, something that this "in depth" inspection should have done to find a leak, it was quite obvious that the leak was coming from the pump itself. I called them back and told them what I found and that I their fee was a joke. They wouldn't consider any form of refund but simply offered to look at it more closely again. No Thanks read more
