Car is 24 years old so I decided against the $3,200 repairs after being assured the car would not blow up or catch on fire if repairs were not made. It will just stop moving. I can live with that. So I brought my vehicle in to be serviced. After I picked up the vehicle I found used cigarette butts in the engine bay. A year later when the vehicle needed an oil change I found they used the same old oil filter after they changed the oil seal on the oil pan and when they reinstalled it, they put in on so tight I ended up having to punch a hole into the oil filter with a screw drivers to remove it. An oil filter is supposed to be installed hand tight. Do not go here, they do not do quality work. read more

I've been here twice now and won't be going anywhere else! Bob was so courteous and friendly during check-in. It's hard to find that type of customer service these days! The technicians take video of the work they do and they share a copy with you which is a very nice touch! The services seem to be more affordable than other places I've been to as well. Worst repair shop of existence. They had my car for 2 mths and charged me $6400 and the car is still not fixed. They gave my car back to me 3 x and it still has the same problem. The wonderful owner offered me a generous refund of $500. I contacted the attorney General and Consumer Affairs and the wonderful owner lied about the whole situation. He informed me that there is nothing else they can do and I needed to take my car elsewhere to be fixed. So if I want to possible acquire anything else from this low life repair shop I have to take them to small claims court. read more

AAMCO isn't just for transmission anymore! They repaired my transmission a month ago....several under dollars below the dealer quote. So, when I needed to replace my timing belt and water pump on my 2017 Ford Escape I asked for a quote. They replaced the timing belt and water pump and replaced high-level spark plugs plus changed the oil for less than the dealer estimate for the belt and pump. Took my elderly sister's 2002 Toyota RAV$ to Aamco because the transmission was slipping. The tech scanned it and found code PO758. They (Bob) said the trans needed to be rebuilt at a cost of $3,000. Neither my sister nor I can afford to pay that. After doing some online research, I found out that this year RAV4 has ECM issues related to transmission slipping. I sent the ECM out for repair ($89) and now the transmission shifts well with NO slipping. I wonder how many people have had their transmissions rebuilt only to find out it was something else. I though this shop was honest, but not anymore, BEWARE..GET A SECOND OPINION. The owner( Dallas) responded to my bad review by saying the trans fluid was burnt and contaminated. Once again you are lying . I had changed the fluid and filter in the transmission the day before I brought it to you. So no way was it dirty and burned as you described. And the car only has 65,000 miles on it. read more

This company will restore your faith in auto repair companies. We took both our Toyota and our Genesis there over the past month for major repair work. The dealers service department couldn't do the work in the case of the Toyota and the price was extremely inflated in the case of the Genesis. They were professional and very genuine. Diagnostics matched the dealers - no additional issues found. They kept us informed and held to there word on completion day. This place is a major RIP OFF ! They lead you to believe they want to help you to get the car in . They told me 2600 to overhaul the transmission plus any hard parts. once they get the transmission out they call with a 4600 dollar estimate. I was told a valve body and torque converter was needed. I see rebuilt valve bodys all day long for 175 bucks and torque converters for 200..They they offer a used trans for 3800. Now why not put a rebuilt valve body in for the 200 ? I was totally misleaded by them. They work on transmissions all day long and can should be able to give a estimate that close or at least a range.....total bullshit. read more

I took my 2004 Dodge pickup to aamco in Venice Florida in December of 2013. I was told that my transmission was shot, and would require a complete rebuild. I believe I paid a little over $3,500 to get the work done. I also asked them to check my engine coolant since I was going to Iowa. They said I was good to 15 below. My first night in Iowa the temperature was 6°. And my radiator froze. And the transmission was still doing the same thing I paid to have repaired. I took my truck to aamco in Tucson. They said that the wrong fluid was put in. As well as several wrong parts. So they supposedly fixed it. 44,000 miles later, and my pickup is still doing the same thing. Great experience and great people. AAMCO has changed the way I look at franchises. They are really a local company with a big name. Mike at AAMCO was great about answering my questions before i brought it in. Diagnosed it quickly and called me to inform me that I needed a new clutch. He explained what was involved and the expectations of the repair. After picking up my car he instructed on how to break it in easily and was great about the timing. He evened prepared necessary machining of my flywheel while he waited for the parts. Thanks again and defintely consider them if you need help with your car. read more

Great service!!! I was traveling from Ft. Lauderdale to Tampa with a stop in Venice. My Acura started having transmission trouble. I stopped at the AAMCO and explained my issue. The guy working there, got the car right in and in a hour diagnosed the issue and I was on my way. There was no charge. I couldn't believe it. I would come here if I lived here.
