First time going to JSN. Bought a used Jeep and took it in for an oil change. I told them that I had just bought it, so they took it out for a short drive and gave it a once over. Told me that everything looked good and that I did well with my purchase. Talked to me and gave me a quick education about some things I needed to know and when I needed to change some of the fluids (not for many miles). Spent $1,500 on a new set of tires with these folks. A month later I have a slow leak in one tire and took it back to have them check it. They told me that they are too busy to do tire repairs and to even look at it. Told me if someone else found that there is a warranty issue I could bring it back. Our jeep was having some issues on our way to bike and go to the beach on a Saturday morning. We called Pit Stop Auto Repair and they recommended a tow service and had our car in and repaired by Monday afternoon. We were called by the technician detailing the problem and were given the amount it would cost over the phone. The jeep is running great and the cost was exactly what we were told it would be. I brought my Toyota Sequoia in because when I got up to a certain speed it was vibrating. When I dropped it off I was very explicit to tell Nick that the driver side door had to be opened and closed in a very specific way or if it wasn't it would break the inside panel. He agreed that he would let his people know this. No problem! So, next they call me with an estimate of $1227 to put four tires on the car and do an alignment which they said is what it needed. I questioned Nick thoroughly---saying to him "are you sure that there's not something else wrong---I DO NOT WANT to get another call later telling me that there is more to fix." He assured me it needed 4 tires and an alignment! Well, guess what---two days later when they get the tires on he calls and says "Oh, BTW the car also needs tie-rods and ball joints to the tune of ANOTHER $2509" To say I was upset is a huge understatement. I asked him why they didn't check that? He said well they couldn't tell there was a problem until they went to do the alignment---and they can't do an alignment because of the bad tie-rods and ball joints! Unbelievable!!! This is no longer a business of integrity. It is under NEW OWNERSHIP so don't go there looking for quality work---or mechanical integrity. If a customer questions you specifically---don't you look AGAIN to see if it could be something else? Or could you not take the time to do a thorough check when you find tires that are separating? Could something else be causing such a problem? A good mechanic would have checked. OH, AND THE TOPPING ON THIS PIECE OF CRAP CAKE-----THEY BROKE THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR PANEL ANYWAY! And when I called to say "Are you not going to fix the panel now that you broke it?" The answer was "no, it was already broken." NO IT WAS NOT----- IT JUST NEEDED TO BE HANDLED AS WAS INSTRUCTED. I have gone to Pitstop for all of my vehicle repairs for at least 8 years. Pitstop in Englewood did a complete break job within the past 6 months. I had a break light on and my break fluid was low. I stopped in worried I would lose my breaks. I was told I could leave it for 3 days and they might be able to look at it. I realize other repair shops have been damaged or destroyed due to Ian and Pitstop is having extra customers due to that and seasonal visitors are here, but I was shocked when I was told they couldn't take 15 minutes to take a look. luckily I was able to find another business in town that put it up on the lift and within two minutes found my break calipers to be in bad shape with visible rust and leaking fluid. I was given an appointment and the repair was done quickly and reasonably priced. To say the least I am extremely disappointed with my go to repair place and I will not be returning to Pitstop. read more

This place ripped me off terribly. I went in for an oil change and they gave me a credit card & charged me $300. on their credit card. I couldn't get it off. I ended up paying them $600. by the time I was done. Because I was trying to get a Mortgage & they were hurting my credit. So I paid them off. BUYER BEWARE!!!! read more

i got contacted from the general manager because of my first review,they contacted me to offer me a 100$ credit,and was willing to make up for what was done wrong. i get there another manager tried to tell me i was wrong and the employee that worked on our veichle has been with company for 22 years and wouldn't mess up, they honored the credit and attempt to fix an oil leak for 159$ and then try to make me feel like the bad guy for my review,well my oil leak is still there and im out another 59$ out of pocket,i was hustled again,if you want a bunch of con artist to fix and break things on your veichle then go right down to pit stop.they will just damage your veichle more and make up more things to fix read more

We couldn't start our car which was in the garage and we figured it was the battery but we didn't have anyone who could jump start our car so that we could take it to Pit Stop in Englewood which is only 10 miles from our house. We called and they gave us the phone number for their Pit Stop Mobil division which does roadside assistance. We called and were told that because it was a Saturday their fee to come to our house would be $168.00 and they would need a credit card before they could send the unit. They did arrive several hours later and the mechanic replaced the battery. We assumed that the charges would be $168.00 plus the cost of the battery but when we received a copy of the invoice which was emailed to us The total cost was $539.00 because they added $68.00 for mileage and another $83.00 to actually install the battery after adding in shop supplies and taxes a grand total of $539.00 to replace a battery. When I called to express how outrageous I thought this bill was I was told that if I could find someone to replace a battery on a weekend for less than that, they would reimburse us. I just want people to be aware of this companies outrageous charges and beware of using them. read more

Shame on you!!!! I have been going for years and I called and described what was wrong with my car I took it in they never called me once but to pick it up. The person on the phone told me what the repair was and the cost of the parts they were waiting for the. I waited till monday. I asked him what the cost would be for repair he said 200 dollars. I figured tax insurance etc..I was so happy I told him he made my day I am single one income and it is a struggle I thought it would cost a thousand. They never called me back I took up 3 100 dollar bills figuring taxes etc... my charge was 798.00 omgod. I was shaking. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. I was sick to my stomach. She left came back and said yes the guy said he said 200 but I thought it was going to cost thousands which I said a thousand and counting my blessings and this gives them the right to charge me 600 dollars more. That is BAD BUSINESS!!!!! I have always gone there because they were Christians and have always been honest and truthful this is horrible. Englewood is a small town I have lived here for 30 years I stay in my small town to spend my money with businesses there. I will never go there ever again. I will make sure I tell everyone my experience with their unprofessionalism. I will FB my friends to let them know never to go there. How horrible. I thought in the state of Fla you had to quote a price first before screwing people over. I see you did the same thing to the other woman complaining. Shame on you. Terrible place, do not go here for anything unless you would like to be ripped off. My 81 year old grandmother brought her car in to this shop because it was getting hot. The shop gave her an estimate of 1300 dollars saying that the car had a bad radiator, all bad radiator hoses, bad serpentine belt, and a leaky water pump. Luckily she called me and I was able to caution her against paying this ridiculous price. Even if all of these parts were bad (which none of them were) it would have costed about 350 dollars for parts... I understand that there is a cost for labor as well but not 1000 dollars worth. I came and picked the car up from the shop and the owner refused to let it go without a 100 dollar diagnoses fee even tho no labor would be involved in diagnosing these problems. After further inspection of the car it turned out that all it needed was a radiator cap, because the rubber seal on the cap had become cracked. This was a ten dollar part that took only a minute or two to switch out. Sickening how a business would take advantage of an elderly woman like that. Customers BEWARE read more
