I had to get my child out of school early because you can't be late. We waited about 30 minutes for the dental hygienist who was very sweet, named Barbara. She took time to let my son look at her tools before using them, she even offer a choice of flavored for the toothpaste. Another, thirty minutes before we saw the the Dr., who was very nice and very professional, but we were kept waiting too long in an empty room. We read all of the books I brought with us multiple times. My child was tired and hungry by the time he was seen. I don't blame the service providers, as much as The scheduling , but it would have been much better to just make an appointment for 3 or 3:30pm if we when we didn't leave the office until after 4:30pm. I requested a private room, but I expected to be seen promptly. We will return, because it was very clean and organized. The doctors and staff were all very good with children.

I briefly FaceTimed him so he could see her during the visit. The dentist abruptly said, "No FaceTime," in a curt manner. I completely understand if that is the office policy, but the delivery felt rude and there was no explanation given. The second situation happened during another visit when Dr. Z told me I could not be rude to his staff. I was very confused because I had no idea what he was referring to, and I told him that I hadn't been rude. He responded with something along the lines of, "Come on, I know you were." Shortly after, a staff member came into the room and explained that they had mistaken me for a different parent. Dr. Z did apologize, and I understand that mistakes happen, but the interaction added to the overall feeling that the environment was not very warm or welcoming. Because of these experiences, we have not returned.

Dr. Z is, without fail, so positive, encouraging, gentle and kind that my children (and me too!) are excited to go to the dentist each 6 months. Both of my younger kids had behaviors that impacted their teeth (ie. Thumb sucking) and he gave us advice, coached them through it, and even sent presents when they "met their goals". All around fabulous - every child should be so lucky to have such a great dentist!

Everyone was lovely and friendly. We did a "knee to knee" visit, and before you ask, yes, my 14 month old has an obscene amount of teeth and our pediatrician recommends taking them around 1. There were some tears but Dr. Eaton was quick with his exam and so kind. We look forward to building a relationship with this practice for years to come. One note, they are out of network for all and we prepaid. I don't blame them one bit, but I know that's a turnoff/ hard for some people. For our insurance this just means that Dr. Eaton's office files for us and our insurance pays us directly for the rates they cover. We prepay for services and sometimes it costs a little extra for us out of pocket. Practices often do this because constantly fighting with the insurance company to get paid what they're worth could easily be a job for a full time person and small practices are often pressured to cut their rates unsustainably to stay in "good graces" with your insurance company (I'm someone who use to have to do legal work for insurance companies). This might not be how your insurance works, but I thought it might be helpful for some of you considering it. For what it's worth, I think Dr. Eaton and his team are worth every penny!

**Pediatric Dentistry Review**…read more We have been going here for 10+ years now. I could have chosen a family dentist for my whole family, but I knew that I did not want my kids dealing with a tech who just worked on a grumpy adult. Dr. Eaton and his staff are magic makers! Seriously! My kids LOVE LOVE LOVE going to the dentist, even on Halloween. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. They walk the kids through everything they plan to do. They ask permission from parents before doing anything like xrays or fluoride treatments. The charges are very reasonable to the point where my insurance covers it all. We have had to only preventive care, but have also have had to have cavities filled and teeth pulled (small jaws). Everyone is so caring and makes sure that the patient is comfortable and that the parent is at ease. I HIGHLY recommend this practice!

We've been coming here for about a year now, and it is such a pleasant experience. The staff is extremely gentle, and patient with the children. The doctor is informative and honest. She takes her time with patients, answers questions, and has a warm demeanor. They have staff who are fluent in both Spanish and English. My children come here for their cleanings, but my five year-old also came here to get crowns placed. The doctor had to fix some poor work done by another practice, by removing fillings and placing the crowns. It took two visits to get the crowns, as my daughter did not do well the first time with the least invasive anesthesia. We also opted for white crowns, which took a bit longer to schedule than the silver. Also, The office is beautiful. It is newly finished, well lit, and always pristine. The lobby furniture is comfortable. They play children's movies both in the lobby and in the back, which keeps the children entertained. I've been here a number of times and have never had a long wait or felt like the place was overcrowded. Like many pediatric dental practices, they have an open room with multiple cleaning chairs where children can be serviced. This is the typical place where a child might get their teeth cleaned. However, they do have rooms. For instance, when we came in for the crown placement that was done in one of the private exam rooms. The practice is located above the Stockbridge location of Tri-County Pediatrics, and they are the only two businesses in the building. So, there is plenty of parking, and the option to take either an elevator or stairs to the second floor. The only tiny issue I've ever had is that the office opens right at the scheduled time. So if I have an appt in the earliest slot in the morning or directly after the lunch break, we usually have to sit in the hallway to wait. This is really a tiny issue and thus an FYI rather than a complaint. Waiting in the hallway is comfy as they have up artwork and they've added two chairs to sit in while you wait.
