Savory harvest moon crepe with squash, sweet potato, arugula and onion with rosemary

Just go--it's great. We love sitting outside. It's always great here: service, coffee, crepes.

    Harvest Moon vegetarian savoury crepe

I love a good creperie, and my timing in Bellingham was just right for a visit to AB Crepes. Craving both sweet and savory, we did what we do best--ordered one of each to share. We chose the Harvest Moon (one of the two vegetarian savory options) and a sweet Banana Cream Pie, paired with a POG Mimosa. Hands down, the Banana Cream Pie stole the show. The graham crackers added a delightful crunch, the sliced banana was fresh and sweet, and the cream had a cheesecake-like richness that was absolutely delicious. As for the Harvest Moon, I wanted to love it, but something felt off for me. Maybe it was the strong squash and onion flavor, the balsamic reduction, or the fact that I paired it with a sweet crepe--it just didn't quite hit the mark. That said, their menu is indulgent and full of tempting options, so I'd happily give it another go if I'm ever in downtown Bellingham. The place had a steady stream of customers, which speaks to its popularity. Service was excellent; the staff were super friendly, there's a water station, and they're open late! There's also plenty of seating inside, making it a cozy spot to enjoy your food. AB Crepes is definitely worth a visit--especially for their sweet creations!

They have outdoor seating right in front to the restaurant, and as it was a lovely evening, we took advantage of that. The person taking our order was very friendly, and helpful. When my husband asked to skip the cheese on his Southwestern, the guy asked if he'd like hummus instead. So they're quite flexible in how they make these. I wish I'd realized that my Harvest Moon came with a lot of 'balsamic reduction' poured on top. I found it very sweet, which I'm almost positive meant they added quite a bit of sweetener (honey or sugar). Our food was brought out to us in less than ten minutes. We really had split opinions on this one. For me, the food was a 2* at best. The crepe was not what I consider to be an authentic crepe, which should be light, and thin, not thick and doughy. And of course, mine was so covered in that sweet sauce, I felt like I'd gotten a sweet rather than savory crepe, which was absolutely not what I was looking for. My husband didn't care about crepe authenticity; he just really enjoyed the combination of flavors in this Southwestern. He says his ingredients were fresh, plentiful, and delicious. At least 4* for the food from him, if not 5*.

10/10 love this place. Any time I visit Bellingham these crepes are a must. The razz dream is my all time favorite but if I'm feeling savory I always get the garlic chicken pesto. But honestly every option they offer is delicious. Bonus points to them for having gf crepes and toppings available. The employees are always friendly and welcoming and I hardly see the place empty.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! It's a must every time I'm in Bellingham. The staff are all so sweet and it's such a vibe. Please try the strawberry banana crepe with AB sauce if you want to try the best crepe ever!

I came here on a Saturday morning around 10am with a friend, we ordered at the counter and chose our own seats! These crepes...OH. MY. GOD!! INCREDIBLEEEE!!! It was sooooo unbelievably delicious. We waited around 30 minutes for our food and it was 100% worth the wait. The hollandaise sauce was phenomenalllllll, seriously the perfect sauce for that savory crepe. All the servers were sooo kind, I felt like everyone became my friend in this space. That's how you make a place feel like home. I also loveeeed the music they placed too. Whoever was on aux, drop the playlist! Next time I'm in Bellingham, I will absolutely have to stop here again!

Been going here for years and can't believe I haven't shared my experiences here! They've changed up a little since they opened and it's always for the better. My go to is the typical strawberry Nutella (light on the Nutella). Although there can be a wait time sometimes, you can always count on your crepe to be fresh. The staff here are amazing and they really give off the vibe of "this is work but I actually enjoy being here" and it radiates to how they treat their customers. I've since moved away from town but I always make it a point to stop by, even if i have to eat it in the car on the way home!

The crepes are gi-normous!! Very pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly. We were expecting a normal sized crepe and were brought extra large, filled with goodness, crepes. Rave reviews were given for the apple. We came back two days in a row, cause our grandson loved them so much!!

If you're in the Bellingham area, AB Crepes is a highly recommended by locals and students who attend nearby WWU (Western Washington University). It is a friendly, trendy, and casual restaurant in Downtown Bellingham. I love that their crepes really are delicious and they stay open until 1 a.m. Wednesdays thru Saturdays for those late night cravings. My sweet favorite is the Strawberry Short Crepe and my favorite savory is the GCP Garlic Chicken Pesto.

A fun place to grab a sweet treat! I enjoy the strawnana and s'more options, and I have yet to try a savory crepe. The service is pretty quick and it's a fun environment. This one time in particular my friends tried the crepe challenge here. The challenge is to eat 26 crepes split between 2 people which very quickly seems impossible, a fun challenge though!

Staff were friendly and professional. It was our first time visiting and they were very helpful with any questions we had! We were the only ones in the restaurant so service was fast! I got the Fresa ($11.99) with Nutella and fresh cut strawberries! It was delicious! Definitely heavy on the Nutella but the freshness of the strawberries really cut through that! It was an incredible crepe! I definitely plan on visiting again!

Kind service!! outdoor seating, small inside seating space with boardgames and free water access. Food comes out pretty quick depending on how busy it is.

One of the Bellingham classics. AB crepes has a tone of amazing options on both the sweet and savory. Our go to favorite is the southwestern for savory and the razz dream for the sweat. The southwestern feels fresh, a bit spicy, and savory while the raz is sweet and creamy. The prices are pretty fair hovering around $13 for most of the sweet ones. One of the first things you will probably notice is the challenge which so far has claimed almost 400 victims and only around 6 winners. If you can finish 10ib of crepes between you and a friend in an hour you get 1/2 off crepes for life and your money back. If you can't, it's $60 + $20 damage deposit. The service is great and quick as well. They are pretty good with substitutions so we always get it with no beans and extra avocado instead which they are good with. The atmosphere of the place changes every time we go there. It goes from having murals, to paintings, to plants, etc. either way it always is nice and fitting.

It may be difficult to accommodate large groups, but if you come early, it should be okay. We were seated by the bar and we had a full view of the kitchen. It was nice to watch them make the crepes and prepare all the food. They have a few appetizers, savoury and sweet crepes, and quite a large cider selection. We both tried different ciders. I liked the scenic road razz. It was light and fruity. Tartare de boeuf- wagyu tartare, served with a beet puree and buckwheat crackers. It was tasty. I really liked the crunch on the buckwheat crackers. The tartare was seasoned well. Jambon blanc- savoury crepe with Parisian ham, cider onion jam, gruyere, and egg. Simple, but quality ingredients. It may look small, but it was quite filling. I enjoyed the buckwheat crepes as it added more flavour to the crepes. I do wish there was a bit more onions in this one. Overall, was very savoury and delicious. Saucisse- beef and pork sausage, bacon, red pepper relish, gruyere, and mustard aioli. This one was really filling. The sausage was quite large, flavourful, and not dry at all. The red pepper relish added some sweetness and brightness to the dish. The crepe went well with the mustard. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. It was nice to go to somewhere for brunch that was more unique than just the usual items for brunch. Service was great, especially since it was so busy. They were still attentive and quick. Prices are pretty good, considering portion and quality of ingredients. I'd recommend checking this place out. I know I'll be back to try their sweet crepes.

I left London Waterloo International station (Eurostar later switched to St Pancras) at 6am while it was pitch dark & returned at night again in darkness! I mention this because I was not able to see the French country side (a real bummer) once Eurostar came out from under the Chunnel. So don't be a dumbo like me when next you're going on the Eurostar - travel during daylight hours! It was a one day pass so I ran around Paris like a wild crazy chicken being chased by a knife! Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, beautiful cafés & streets et cetera the sights & sounds of Paris one never forgets! Trying to get directions in English from Frenchmen ... oh the joy! Not enough time at all in Paris - 8 hours flew by in a flash! One highlight was my introduction to crêpes via a food cart, just near the Eiffel Tower. Those buckwheat crêpes were damn expensive & as I walked away chomping down on them, I got to less than a 100 metres away before I turned around & went back for more - I kid you not!!! Bye bye to my remaining Francs (cash) but I was happy as can be my belly full! Best ever expensive crêpes!!! They had that certain - 'je ne sais quoi' taste! Paris crepes are the best!!! I ended up leaving Paris with nothing to show for ... no Gucci or LV t-shirt ... absolutely ziltch in clothing or souvenirs! Insert sad face here! But you guessed it, I've never ever forgotten those crêpes! Which leads me to the brand new - Ça Marche Crêperie @ Vancouver House. This is a concept crêperie & cider house by the owner of the magnifique - Au Comptoir (please see my review) on 4th Ave. Located on the north west side of the Granville Bridge at the base of Vancouver House = if you can see Vancouver House you'll find this Crêperie! This area is booming with lots of shiny newness - see the amazing architecture of Vancouver House where Ça Marche Crêperie is located just off the short Continental St. This is a small operation with limited seating, so perhaps settle for a 'grab N go' kinda vibe. I'm 100% here for the crêpes! The cider to be honest not so much. Never been a huge fan. The taste just hasn't won me over ... yet! However, that said I'm curious to try the conceptual concoctions that will be offered here! Hey maybe there's hope for me & I just might become a huge lover of cider yet!?! To the owners of this crêperie I plead & beg you not to hire little Johnny from the local high school to be in the kitchen making my crêpes!!! I swear if you go down this road you'll lose my support as my sense of taste will be shattered by crappie garbage crêpes! Look at what was once a local popular Crêperie downtown - they started hiring anyone with a heart beat! The crêpes got so bad even Aunt Jemima refused to pour her syrup on them!!! I can tell you it wasn't the pandemic that ruined it!!! I absolutely just love crêpes & I'm excited about this new crêperie! You can have crêpes with pretty much anything you want to add to them - so go ahead & experiment until you find your hearts content! Highly recommend getting a savoury buckwheat crêpe as a 'main dish' & then try a classic sweet crêpe for dessert - if you can handle it. Apparently the frites (fries) & dip are absolutely delightful - as told to me by someone who sat next to me at the bar. Oui monsieur ... hit me up one more time - here take all my Francs & my shirt! Merci!

Truthfully, I go for their crepes, but my friends are always bey happy with their other menu choices too. The staff is friendly and we never feel rush to eat & leave. This isn't a place you need to really dress up to feel you fit in. However, you also could if the mood suits you & still not feel out of place. Truly, I am happy that they even have tables on the main level that accommodate those with mobility aids. However, that being said, I am struggling to recall if there would be a easy enough way for a wheelchair or even a walker to make it to the main door. I'll have to remember to focus on that long enough before my next crepe eating bliss hits. As Cowichan Bay is a popular area to stop for meals, do plan to go in advance for parking. As even if there are a few spots for the restaurant, there isn't enough space to accommodate the full restaurant. If you are able to find a spot at the restaurant or are double parking at the restaurant (which is apparently allowed), it is good to let the server know what vehicle is yours. Beyond more than mention "I've parked my vehicle here", so a server can notify you if people need to be let out of the space if they're leaving before you're done. If you don''re not lucky enough to grab a parking spot right at the restaurant, you might have to go far up the road (sometimes almost to the hotel) or down the road (towards the parking area by the pubic washrooms) to reach any parking options. Definitely try it out if you are looking fit an option in Cowichan Bay. I know I'm looking forward to many more future happy crepe eating moments here with friends.
