This is a roadtrip eater egg. I stopped in here because - why not? The lady in front of me purchased the last polenta cake and I was displeased, so I let her know, in a joking way of course. I inquired as to if they had any more in the back, to which a guy told me they did but I'd have to wait. Wait I did. And it was totally worth it! 10/10. Just stopped for a sweet treat as we drove though and I can tell you that the sticky bun probably put 2 pecan farms out of business!! Still warm from the oven - not reheated! And the lemon bar? This is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it spot out in the beautiful rolling farmlands of northwestern WA. Luckily I was with family who knew about this spot so we ensured to stop by after visiting some tulip farms and general sightseeing. We only grabbed a selection of cookies/baked goods and boy do I wish we had grabbed more. Small bakery on the junction of farm to market road. It's a tiny hole in the wall bakery that has freshly made pastries. My friend for the apple cider which wasn't actually freshly made, but it tasted like apple pie. Pecan bar and lemon bar were both were good and tasted better when refrigerated. The lemon had the perfect amount of tartness. Pecan bar not too nutty or sweet. The worker was kind enough to cut the bar into 4 pieces which made it easier to eat. Finally, the scone for that day was blueberry and it was moist and chewy but slightly dry. I liked it though. There's a nice salt flavor as well the pairs with the sweetness of the scone. The small bakery is nestled in a garden setting with lots of outdoor seating, making it a great place to gather with friends for a bite to eat before setting off on the scenic coastal route. Everything on the menu looks fresh and delicious, and is tantalizingly presented in their glass display case. I ordered a ginger cookie and a very hearty lemon bar for a picnic later that afternoon. The ginger cookie was chewy and fragrant, and had a beautiful crystallized sugar exterior. The lemon bar had a thick shortbread base, and had a little more snap than I was expecting. It was buttery, lemony and delicious. But I was hoping for a bit more chew and lemon filling. The crust/filling ratio was a bit off. I've never wrote a review about bad service & that is because I've never had such bad service! We drove 45 min to this bakery and there was just one customer there who arrived before us. There was also just one middle aged woman working there, and when she finished with the order of the single customer, she mentioned that it was going to be a little while. We patiently waited for about 10 minutes when she came back. When it was our turn to order, we asked no more than a couple of questions about minor adjustments, we could make because we had a toddler with us. She hardly made eye contact, but she did express down right rudeness in her face/eye expressions, & tone of voice as she was responding to our questions. She was very impatient and all I can say is that I've never been treated so poorly in a place where I was offering money to buy something. I was very displeased and dissatisfied with the lack of customer care. I felt offended that she would treat us in this way. I was also confused because I did not understand why she would act this way. I wondered if maybe it was because she's the only person working, & only one other person arrived a few minutes after she was taking our order. Whatever the case, it gives a person in her position no right to act that way. So I paused to make the assessment about what was happening and told her that I was not comfortable ordering any further, and I was not happy with the way she was treating us, so we left. If you dare go in, don't let anyone treat you rudely. I did read two other reviews about rude behavior in this place, so it seems there are 2 persons there who don't understand how to act. read more

I asked nicely if my order was coming out soon. The 'chef' bitched me out telling me that I had no right to come in his kitchen and talk to him that way. Lemon bar was amazing. Huge, thick, the perfect amount of sweet and tart. Love. We also had the rhubarb pie. This pie crust is better than my grandma's. Who would have thought there would be such an awesome bakery on our way to oyster tasting at Taylor farm? We got to Taylor farm way to early and they recommended we try this bakery! It is the cutest bakery with such awesome seating available out in the open behind the bakery. We ordered the biscuit with ham, latte and a cinnamon roll! We were rushed a bit as there were people waiting and did not get a chance to fully look at the menu. But I am absolutely glad we ordered the biscuit! It tasted so amazing! The cinnamon rolls tasted very good too, and I do not even eat cinnamon rolls! This is probably one of my favorite bakeries in Washington state! Any time I have friends or family in for a visit, I always make sure to take them to this amazing place. The staff is friendly, the food is absolutely incredible and I can never just get 1 thing when I visit. Although I haven't been able to dine in since all of the Covid restrictions went into play, the staff seems to be taking all necessary precautions with masks, cleanliness, etc... Fresh baguette, crisp lettuce and chef brought in a tomato from the garden, crispy bacon.........mmmm! We shared the polenta cake with lime drizzle, delicious. I had the oatmeal raisin cookie -- best I have ever had, chewy and flavorful. The cookie was so good that on our way back heading home to Seattle I stopped for one for a dessert after dinner. TLDR: Buy the lemon squares Call me a lemon square connoisseur if you'd like but I avidly hunt for lemon squares in each city that I visit. You need to get the perfect ratio of sweet and sour and you need to hear that ever so slight crunch you get from the crust. Farm To Market Bakery does a fantastic job of just this. The lemon is pungent enough to smell but isn't overwhelming when the lemon almost melts in your mouth. The sweetness tends to roll forward after the sour but is quickly grounded by the crust. The crust itself as mentioned has a nice crunch to it and holds itself together. This combination of sweet, sour and gone will have me coming back every chance I get. read more
