Called Alex to see about repairing some water damage and renovating bathrooms in University City. He was prompt with his response and worked with me on some design solutions to modernize the bathroom and fixtures. I had an excellent experience with Alex and Daniel from AB Home Repairs. I had been wanting to change out my enameled cast iron kitchen sink. I thought about re-enameling it. But I wanted a single bowl. I also loved the undermount but I preferred a drop-in sink for easier maintenance. My undermount sink, however, was expoxied onto the granite and wedged on top of plywood. No clips to hold it in place. In other words, it was built in. Changing out the granite was not an option. I met the contractor Alex from AB Home Repairs. He was patient and confident. He came over and told me what he could and could not do. We went to Home Depot right after and got my new sink. He and his brother Daniel came the next morning and changed out the sink and the pipes underneath. I met him on Friday and he replaced my sink less than 24 hrs later on Saturday. And my new sink is amazing. I couldn't be happier. It was quite a challenge and we agreed to increase the price a little more than we agreed due to the difficulty of the project (which is understandable! Cutting out a heavy, thick cast iron sink while being gentle to not break the granite is no joke) Alex and Daniel were so respectful and personable. I felt like I was talking to trusted friends. Alex is also very detailed and considers his work as "art". I felt relief knowing that he and his brother would put in great care to this project. I also have a 1-year warranty for their workmanship. He encouraged me to call with any issues as they take great pride in their work. Alex is licensed, insured, and bonded (I checked). He owns his business and does not subcontract out. So had another licensed contractor reviewed the job that Alex did, turns out Alex used the wrong duct for the vent, and the charge is more than it suppose to. Also, he did horrible work in my friend's house, completed incorrect protocol when deal with mod. He had fan to blow the mod everywhere in the house. He pretend know how to deal with mod when he actually does not. Not recommended at all. read more

There was a leak in my hot water pipe that led from the garage into my kitchen area! It caused my entire original wood floor under the current New floor to buckle! Damage was done to the wall, the floors etc! Alex came right away to turn the hot water off, which saved a lot of money as I did not know how to do that!
