Although their bids were similar, we weren't happy with the prep work we had to do or what they wanted to charge for it. We are in our late 70's. We visited Flooring Creations, talked to both Gus Sr. and Gus Jr. We got a bid that included everything we needed done and was financially reasonable. We were on a limited time schedule and they were great about working within that time frame. The installers they referred us to were on time, neat, and did a great job. I contacted Flooring creations to have new flooring installed throughout our two-story home. Thier sales process was easy and they recommended top notch installers. Gus came out to get the process started and from very beginning I felt like he was going beyond where the other contractors that had bid the job were going. He spent well over an hour going over the flooring requirements for the home as well as making sure to lend advice and design ideas. After visiting a couple of home improvement stores, it became apparent that we needed more guidance to understand vinyl plank flooring options for our condo. In the meantime, I read lots of reviews of materials and installations done via big box stores; many of them were bad. Gus Sr worked with us over several visits to clarify our requirements: colors, patterns, quality, sub flooring, stair treatment, molding... 5 Stars - Great Experience from Start to Finish I almost never write reviews--but this experience was so positive, I felt like I had to say something. So if you're reading this, know that this review really means something. We first met Gus Jr. at Flooring Creations back in October 2024. At the time, we weren't sure what type of flooring or color we wanted, but Gus was super helpful and patient. He explained the pros and cons of each option and, since we have a large dog, he recommended a more durable product. The best part? The product he pointed us to actually cost less per square foot than what we originally had in mind. It felt like he really had our best interest in mind rather than trying to upsell us. Gus Jr. came out to our home, took full measurements, and gave us a detailed estimate that included materials, labor, and tax. Just so you know--Flooring Creations sells the flooring materials, and they work with independent installers. In our case, the install was handled by Froggy and his team, and they were awesome. Super professional, skilled, and just really cared about doing the job right. The floors came out beautiful. We did have two unexpected costs during the project: Subfloor Issues - Our subfloor was way more uneven than anticipated, and since LVP needs a flat surface, we ended up needing about 15 extra bags of leveling compound. Once I saw it in person, it was obvious that it needed to be done right. Staircase Change - Midway through the project, I decided to change the stair risers to white instead of using the LVP. This was mostly because I was also doing a DIY lighting project, adding automated led lighting under each tread. The white risers ended up being the right call--they look amazing with the lighting. Gus Jr. and Froggy were quick to roll with the change and had the new materials on-site the very next day. The whole project started on a Monday and wrapped up by Thursday evening. Everything moved quickly and smoothly, and everyone involved kept checking in to make sure we were happy--which we definitely were. I got three quotes before starting this project. Flooring Creations wasn't the cheapest, but I chose them based on their reviews--and I'm so glad I did. The service was excellent, the product is perfect for our needs, and the entire experience was stress-free. I highly recommend buying from Flooring Creations--it was a great experience with awesome service and quality products. And if you're lucky enough to get Froggy and his crew for the install, you're in great hands. You might be able to save a few bucks somewhere else, but in the end, you really do get what you pay for. Gus and his team are fantastic. From the initial consult to the end product, they stayed in touch, gave us regular updates, and their workmanship was top notch. We purchased a 1950's house and wanted to redo all the floors. When we started ripping out the carpets, we found an old safe that was bolted into the floor at the back of a closet. There was no combo to access the bolts, so I had to call out a locksmith. After three hours of cutting and grinding, they weren't able to open the safe and wanted to charge me another $1000 to keep trying or I'd be left with a mangled piece of useless metal in the closet. Oz, the flooring supervisor came in the next day and pried up enough to cut the bolts with a sawzall, and saved the whole project. Didn't even charge me any extra. On top of their pristine work, Oz even came back a month later to finish off some molding that the kitchen guys neglected to do. Also at no extra cost. If I could, I'd buy a new house just to give them more of my business. read more

We needed a new living room carpet inset and picked the Mohawk brand based on his through detailed explanation of the various products available. His recommended installer was efficient and prompt, excellent workmanship and even showed up early: first project in the am. The bedrooms in my condo needed an upgrade from carpet to hardwood flooring. At first I went to Flooring Creations due to the excellent reviews. I was so impressed with the explanation of the different products and also they are aware of the HOA rules and requirements. I had 4 bedrooms of LVP purchased and installed earlier this year. Gus Sr is incredibly knowledgeable about the business and was able to expertly answer all my questions. He talked about the differing quality between different brands, and the pros and cons of different types of flooring. He also didn't try to "sell" me but was just straightforward and honest. For example I asked something like "what is the all-in price on LVP?" and he actually gave me an answer, and it actually ended up being very close to what I ended up paying. I would definitely recommend this place, A+++ they know how to run a business and treat their customers well. The prices are super fair, not necessarily the cheapest but he explained that's because there are some SUPER cheap (bad quality) products out there on the market but they refuse to sell them, and I believe him. I contacted Flooring Creation via Yelp and the owner Gus responded very promptly & was very thorough and patient in guiding me to find the right flooring for my house. They charge a measure fee which is refundable after the purchase of the material. Gus has very good eyes for picking a right color for the house. I have a very dark cherry wood cabinet which it was tricky to find a flooring color that compliments it but Gus managed to do it. He recommended a flooring installer - did a great job in a timely and profession manner.
