    Chicken Tikka Kebab
    Neeta S.

I like this place, the food is great, prices are fine, my husband and I eat here from time to time and sometimes order take out. (This was probably the 2nd or 3rd time for take out.) Disappointed with the Chicken Tikka Kabab. I guess I expected tandoori kabab like it was pictured. Still gonna come back though

I don't often update my past reviews, but after getting through a year long pandemic, I felt like now was a good time to write another, after a long dry spell. It's nice to say that things haven't changed much, especially the food. Unfortunately, the owner went through tough times and business was touch and go as most restaurants had to face. But we were happy to see that they were still alive, even though we pretty much stayed home and social distanced. We finally emerged once again to visit some of our favorite restaurants. AB Indian is one of those places. We were greeted by the owner and it was nice to know that he still remembered us. The place was a little busy, but we had no problem finding a table at this small "hole in the wall" eatery, located in an often overlooked strip mall facing the busy street of Stockton Blvd. We ordered some of our favorites still present on the menu: Samosa chat, mattar panner, butter chicken, bangon bartha, pulao rice, and garlic naan. The food was still as delicious as we remembered! Prices went up a bit, but understandable this day and age! We are just glad that they survived the Covid 19 shut down! Routine visits here are back in our future schedules!

    Gobi manchurian

This is some of the worst Indian food I have ever had. We ordered over the phone, they told us it would be 20 minutes. Once we got to the restaurant we waited an extra 30minutes. The food was flavorless and lukewarm. The Gobi Manchurian was soggy and such a small portion. Do yourself a favor and go to another place for.

Salad, black bean lentils, naan. And

I have always gotten a delicious meal when o order the vegetarian combo. It comes with a veggie dish and a lentil dish, salad, naan and additional item in picture. I also ordered the veggie pakora and some ga lic naan. The meal came to approximately $21 and was delicious. It lasted me two meals. The staff is really nice and it was only 20 min wait which is how long it took me to drive there. I'm definitely going back and back to this restaurant.

I ordered 2 orders of chicken biryani. they gave me one container with one serve of biryani. and when I asked where's my other order they said oh it's both orders in same container. ! what a rip off . and it was just a small amount in the container did not look like 2 orders. one of my colleagues did not get to eat his order. don't order from this place. they are rip off!!

    Diwali dinner

One of my favorite place to come here and pick up some Indian sweets. I like the barfi regular flavor. Also one of those sweets with pistachios. . They weigh the sweets per pound is how they usually charge. I came here for Diwali 2020 to grab some sweets and omg I was overwhelmed with all the flavors and presentation with self served to put in a box and then they weigh it to charge. . I also grabbed some dinner for togo. . Pani poori - my friend thought it was different . I loved it because it has different texture and filled with liquid and is sour. . Butter chicken curry - buttery and creamy and saucy good. Great with rice and dipping stuff in it. . Shrimp briyani curry - the rice was flavorful and was lacking in shrimp but luckily I made some myself on the side to add to it. . Samosa chat - it was soggy when I got home which is like a 10 min drive. So best to separate the yummy sauce on the side. . Lamb saagwala curry - this was hearty and flavorful and just remind me of saag paneer. . I also dine in here for some thali plates and it was yummy. Basically you choose 2 entree and comes with rice and yogurt. It was like 12 bucks which was a good deal in my mind. Also had a very good time with my Indian friends. . This spot is a hidden gem and if you want to try somewhere new and in the mood for Indian food give them a try. Thanks for reading and have a yelptastic day!

Ordered via DoorDash and that was probably my biggest mistake but I was still testing positive for Covid and didn't want to get anyone else sick. Received my food and I only got a few pieces of chicken and by a few I only mean 3 and a half pieces of chicken in my butter chicken (the picture is the other two pieces of chicken I fished out from my 16 oz container) and a ton of curry left over :( it was strangely sweet and lacked the Indian spices I'm used to tasting. Very disappointed by this meal.

Piss poor quality. Put out ice cold food from days ago in the buffet. Went with relatives for lunch and got trash for food.

The moment you walk in, the retro 1950s diner ambience immediately transports you back to classic Americana dessert culture. They've apparently been serving Sacramento for over 37 years! - Hot Fudge Sundae -- made with Gunther's vanilla & chocolate ice cream, topped with whipped cream, pralines, and a candied cherry; beautifully presented with warm hot fudge drizzled all over - Lemon Raspberry Cake -- moist sponge cake layered with lemon, raspberry, and whipped cream; balanced sweetness with buttercream-coated sides The red booth seating and vintage Americana decor really complete the nostalgic vibe. I was right next to them sitting at a table with my brother so of course I heard, and I got up and I said what's up with this grandma stuff, and he said that he answered her question and told her that he thought I was her grandmother. Honestly, I felt completely insulted like you're not supposed to say things like that to your customers or even about your customers. I felt myself getting ready to go completely off on him, so I walked away and went to sit back down. He had the audacity to tell my niece some people can't handle the truth. It's so baffling to me that a manager would say something like that. I know employees sometimes say inappropriate things, but he should know better!! This was supposed to be a nice family outing and he ruined my night. Luckily I have confidence in myself and his comment didn't give me a complex or make me like I look old. It was also disappointing because I went in there specifically to get an eclair, which is normally a decent size. For some reason, it was the half of the size and the same price.

This shop is located at the end of DoCo across from Sauced in the spot that was previously a Starbucks Reserve shop.Parking is available underneath DoCo in the city lot, with validation available from the business tenants of DoCo but with the abundance of street parking available,I just parked on the street. Upon walking in I knew I made the right choice that morning,I know it sounds cliche but that place is a vibe. They were playing solid Latin music, the decor inside was truly thought thru to convey a particular feel-it felt great in there, now I just had to hope the coffee and small bites, matched up to the ambience. This particular morning was pretty busy as there were like about 10 people in line when I got there and only 1 person taking orders plus the tables were at about 90% capacity but it wasn't hard to find a place to sit because the turnover for tables was really fast. We decided to try a few things that visit,I went with a Dulce de Leche latte"Grandote" size ($7.00) and the wife went with a similar sized Mexican Mocha ($7.00).We also decided to get some food,so ended up going with the Bacon,Egg,and Cheese breakfast sandwich($7.50) and also the Torta de Jamon ($15.00). Coffee was made pretty quickly but there was a slight wait for the food but didn't mind it too much as I can tell it was made very fresh as I got to watch the worker make my Torta-very glad it wasn't premade. I really loved my Dulce de Leche latte-gave me caramel macchiato vibes but just different enough,it was really good,I tasted the Mexican Mocha and it tasted exactly like one should taste,it's just not my particular preference, but I blame that on my palette not the craftsmanship,as the wife truly enjoyed it. As for the food I really liked the Bacon breakfast sandwich, was a solid value for what we got,I would for sure order it again if I just wanted a quick small bite. The Torta de Jamon I really really enjoyed, featuring ham with avocado, pickled jalapeños,pepper jack cheese, fresh tomato, queso fresco served on toasted bread-very tasty and fresh tasting-I would for sure order it again. That being said, the true star of the night when it comes to this visit was the place itself,I really enjoyed the ambience, the customers, the decor,I'm really glad this place exists and it's a welcome addition to the downtown Sacramento coffee scene-I look forward to returning.
