    Chicken biriyani
    Saketh A.

Friendly staff, decent seating, food was ok. Id get the samosas again. But not the chicken biriyani. It didn't taste authentic and was just a pulao mix. Unfortunate... Id get some of the other food if I'm around the area again. Outside is kind of sketch with some squatters sitting outside.. unfortunate the business has to deal with that. Kind of pushes customers from coming around the area.

Salad and rice or rice salad?

Our usual Indian restaurant was closed today and after a long day of moving, butter chicken and paneer tikka masala were what we were craving. This, however, was not what we had in mind. This was one of the worst take out dining experiences I have had. Not only was it not located near us in anyway...but there were so many things wrong with our order. My husband ordered three curry meals, which were all supposed to come with a rice and salad each. We received the three curries but only rice and salad for two. It was packaged poorly at that and the rice and salad were smooshed together (see picture). It was tightly wrapped in a plastic bag so we did not bother to open and inspect it prior to bringing it all the way home. The curries themselves had a nice texture but flavors were lacking and holy cow why are they so spicy?! It was like nose-running-burn-your-face-off spicy! Not to mention every curry was mislabeled. I am a vegetarian and the lid that read paneer tikka masala was most definitely chicken. We had to try to figure out which curries were which because all of them appeared to be labeled with the wrong dish. The naan was also oddly disappointing. Super soft and that's about the only positive quality. In short, we will not be returning. 4.5 stars for this??! The reviews are misleading and lead us astray.

Ordered delivery from here based on the Grubhub Indian restaurant ratings, and the food is delicious. If I were to order in house I believe I could adjust the heat levels to my liking (in this case, there was no level, which was to my husband and kiddos' liking), but regardless of that factor, the taste was spot on. Reminds me of growing up in Asia with homemade Pakistani and Nepali cuisine! Yay.

Something has changed about to food. We always LOVE the biryani but this time it wasn't as good And it was bland. Adding on, the amount that was served was not what we normally get. The was burnt and we can taste it. Whoever used to cook the food needs to be hired back. I don't know if I want to go back.

I'm sooooo sad to have to do this. This was my favorite Indian spot. It was delicious, it had great customer service and it's close to home. Now its still close to home but, thats about it. I had ordered from here a few months back and noticed that the palak paneer was different the color was different and the texture was different. They had also gotten my order wrong but since I had picked it up to go I had no intentions to drive back and return it. Last night I took my nephew to try Indian food since I had promised him a while back. I thought I had an Ace in my sleeve and was gonna hit him with fire but, after getting to the restaurant and finding out that the new owners took over about a year ago I was embarrassed. The palak paneer again was different, it was a lighter green and it looked like baby food. I had to keep refraining my self of thinking bout the exorcist movie when I was looking at the palak. The goat dishes that I ordered were not the same, they were mostly bones. The meat ratio to gravy was 80/20. Before the meat ratio was about 50/50. The customer service, THERE WAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had to go ask for water, ask for napkins 2 times. They take your order and they bring you the food and after that your on your own. Before they would give you a clothe napkin now they give you cheap 99 cent napkins. Before they would bring the food in nice fancy plates now they bring it all in regular bowls. They brought out the tamarind sauce and mint sauce in togo containers. The mango lassi they brought that out in a plastic to go cup. Before they would bring a fancy gauntlet. This place is not the same and is no longer my to go place. I'm very sad about this because this place was great! The only thing that was good, was the tandoori chicken. It was juicy and hot. The samosas were also decent. I wish they just changed the name of this place or let customers know that they are under new ownership. Even the menu changed its just white pages in a cheap folder looking thing. It looks like a middle school book report. I'm sad that I ordered so much food like I normally do. I normally order a lot of food so that I could have left overs but this time it feels like Im stuck with a lot of food that's not good. This is depressing. I'm comparing this food to the old owners food, if this is your first time trying this place you might enjoy it because you're not comparing this food to the old food they used to serve here. Good luck and I wish this place the best.

    Garlic Naan & Paneer Naan

I called and placed my pick-up order which estimated a 20-30 min wait which was fine because I did order quite a bit. Service was great, the guys are super chill and nice. They gave me a free mango lassi drink I believe which was super sweet of them and it tasted great. Food was great as well, half of my family have not tried Indian food before and they gave this place a thumbs up. We ordered their chicken tikka Masala, prawn masala, butter chicken, samosas chaat, chicken biryani, chicken kabob, reg rice, garlic naan and paneer naan. Their chicken kabob was pretty dry but from what I read it's a hit or miss I guess. Overall, everything else was great. We had an awesome experience and would love to come back to support this place.

Foods from this Indian place is very very good. I've order multiple times and will be going to them more in the future. No complaints on the taste of the foods. I give it 3 stars only due to the below issues. I need to mention a recent food hazard issues I just experienced yesterday (4/12/23). I used to order back since 2019, rarely there's issues but now seems like the Lamb meat is just cut up whatever. I want to bring up that the Lamb biriyani & Lamb curry taste great but they contained LOTS of small shards of bones...there's way too much bones to enjoy the dish. Yesterday I nearly puncture my tongue & roof of mouth with 2 very sharp bones, let alone swallowing it which will cause health hazard to the ER. These shards are nearly dog size canine tooth. Anyone ordering any Lamb curry or biriyani, please be careful because if you had kids or adults and swallow these pieces, it'll hurt you badly. I've notified the restaurant.

Butter chicken. Watery consistency. Not great.
    Jen B.

Small restaurant that's probably more of a take out place. You order at the counter. You can dine in. We ordered the butter chicken and the chicken tikka masala. They were exactly the same dish. And they were super watery in consistency. The only difference was the tikka masala had cubed chicken breast. The butter chicken had tandoori chicken. Both very bland. The garlic naan was tasty though. I wouldn't try this place again.

Yummy Indian Cuisine! Met with friends for a nice group dinner at this Indian cuisine on Florin Mall Rd in Sacramento. It was a nice gathering except I wasn't very familiar with any of the dishes (except for the Butter Chicken). This was only my second time to dine at an Indian restaurant and so relied on my friends to let me know what dishes to try and I was willing to try anything as long as the food wasn't spicy. My friend ordered for the both of us and got the following dishes: Tandoori Chicken, Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan and plain rice. Yummy choices as I enjoyed all of them. I also had a sampling of vegetable pakora (appetizer), Chicken Curry w/ rice, and Gulab Jamun (dessert). That dessert was a little too sweet for my taste. Looks like everyone in our party of 11 had a nice time and enjoyed what they ordered. I'm willing to take my palate to new high heights with other international dishes and it's more fun when you get together with friends. The restaurant wasn't full on a Thursday evening and for awhile we had the place all to ourselves. There are two sections to the dining area where the other side had round tables for smaller parties. The staff members were friendly and nice. A plus for being attentive to our table. The confusion began when it came time to pay for our bills. Orders seem to have gotten mixed up on individual checks even though we asked if they were willing to do separate checks for each party and they said they could accommodate. There is plenty of parking here, that's for sure. Anyway, I'm looking forward to more Indian cuisine and foodie adventures! Review #1446

We hosted a. UYE here the other day. We had a large party and several different checks were required. Our servers did find taking our orders and bringing out our food however they totally messed up when it came time to pay. We waited at least 20 minutes while they tried to sort out the checks. I really don't know why they just didn't ask us for help. Food wise my butter chicken, Tandori chicken and garlic naan were delicious. Most of the other Yelpers also enjoyed their food. Pricing was very affordable as well. Personally I really want to come back for their lunch buffet. Overall Tandori Grill has good food at good prices come give them a try.

If you only choose one of the AYCE options, it is about $25 but seems worth it to get the all 3 combo for $30. It does seem that everybody at the table has to choose the same option. Hot pot - You each get your own individual hot pot. There had a pretty good variety of broth flavors to choose from. There is a menu that you can order the meat from. There were 5 of us and we were told we can order 4 meats to share per round. There is a separate area for to grab a tray/bowl and choose your veggies. There is an area with small trays of meat available for you to grab and bring back to your table. Good variety. Pork Jowl was my favorite and it's not as common. The only issue is that if your party doesn't communicate, you some how end up grabbing all of the same items! So discuss amongst yourselves or else it might be an overkill. Great patients with the grandparents as they are less adventurous as they took time to explain the process as well as recommending a less "punch you in the face" broths for their individual hotpot. This buffet style was also cool in that all the individual proteins (pre-cooled/seasoned/fully cooked) were individually plated and in little half boxes . Diners take an empty lunch tray, gather what looks good for their liking and return to their table to cook and enjoy. Definitely much more "civilized" . Way better than large sections with multiple tongs encouraging the food savages. Another big plus is the wide selections. For those food influencers...it will be a long running camera shot just to capture the amount of different items. The challenge with this approach tho is that the plates and small food containers can stack up bery quickly and take over much of the real estate on the dining table top. But we were amazed at the team work of the staff to quickly make the needed elbow room. On a busy Saturday night tho, it definitely can still be a bit tricky. The value for the AYCE die hards are definitely there! There are solid options of meats fish and veg. But those fearing AYCE diners can also expect a certain level madness. We saw many unintentional dropping of trays of eager patrons. There were definitely ambitious customers that are stacking their trays sky high. Customers on our visit were generally very cordial to staff and on the couple of "tim.....berssss" we witnessed, the response time to clean up was really impressive! The AYCE masses are hard to please for sure, but it may make a difference to apply some general limit on the individual patrons trays? That may frustrate some hardcore diners but can enhance the experience of others. We will reiterate that the managing team is just doing such a bang up job in hiring a great crew! They all were hustling and we definitely noticed! WTG!!!

I noticed a HUGE amount of cherries in the fruit section, so I went for those. The fifth or sixth cherry had white mold. I said "uh oh" and a nearby male presenting worker said "why, what's wrong?" so I showed them. They said "oh it's probably the cream". I put that cherry back, plus the ones I got initially. My plate was clean, so there is no mixed food contamination. Two workers went to the cherries and started going through it. What I'm wondering is how did "cream" get in the cherries and they haven't been opened for 10 minutes yet? And how did cream get on a cherry under a pile of cherries? The only other gross thing was the water. It was from the sink. Not filtered. If you've ever had Sacramento public water, you understand how atrocious it tastes.
