The movers looked like they were moving very fast, but either they were highly INEFFICIENT or UNETHICAL! It took from 8:45am-7pm to complete a move for a 1650 sq ft, 3 bedroom house (no stairs, no elevator, no garage). When the movers arrived, we were informed that they could not fit the items on one truck. Since I've had about the same amount of items for years, I was very perplexed because other movers have been able to fit our items in one truck. We were given the option to schedule another truck to complete the move or not complete the move that day. Because my husband only had that one day off, we did not have the luxury to reschedule and he opted to take them at their word. I'm not sure if the movers were just ineffective at using the space or if they get kick-backs for recommending us to add another truck to complete the move. My husband was later told by another mover and by a neighbor that there was NO reason why all of our items couldn't have fit in one truck. We have a sofa, love seat, 2 chairs, queen bed, 2 dressers, twin bed, toddler bed, w&d, kitchen table, two flat screen tvs, 3-'6cube book cases' and boxes. The first truck only put a sofa, love seat, 2 chairs, queen bed, 1 dresser, toddler bed, 2 tvs, 3-'6cube book cases' and boxes on the truck. I am highly dissatisfied and disappointed with this move. I've used AB movers in the past and would request the same crew, but that crew is no longer with AB. I'm unsure if the company is now unethical or only the crew that moved us, but I very disappointed. I submitted the information to the company, but the only response I received was an inquiry about damaged items. And yes, a few items were damages also...a dresser and antique glassware. I don't know how they could have broken the dresser. It is a very sturdy dresser! Also, my items clearly marked fragile were not handled at all with care! I plan to report them to BBB. If you have used AB and you were dramatically up-charged, please also report to BBB and include it in your review. I am sooo upset. We stay in a modest home with a modest amount of items. Why would it take two trucks, 10 hours and over $1400 to move a house less than 1700 sq ft? His version of taking care of it was to let us know 1/2 a day later he will charge us 2 hours @ $129 +99 service fee. While the gentleman did a great job moving my furniture, the driver used shady business practices on a woman. He told me that I had to pay at drop off before the job was completed. He continued to request prepayment and stated the job would be 5 hours. My job was only 3.5 hours but he took the money upfront! Do not recommend. As a woman it's hard to voice concerns to give push back when you're alone with 3 men. When I mentioned the job was much shorter the driver said he billed me for 4.5 hours so I should basically be happy. So he still got an extra hour of payment plus tip. read more

The movers themselves were nice and professional and none of my stuff broke throughout the move, HOWEVER, I was quoted for 4 hours of work and was charged for 6 hours! The company will take longer and overcharge you. I moved from a 1 bed apartment to a 1 bed apartment, there was no reason for this to take as long as it did and I expected to pay about $450 and instead paid close to $1,000. Well i try not to do bad reviews on companies because everyone is trying to make a living. After the experience I had yesterday/thus morning with AB Moving. I will not be silent. Brace yourself because this review it a long one: When i booked my service I was told I would have six men and two "trucks". Instead I got six men and two trailers. My heart dropped when they arrived. When i booked the service i was very transparent with the fact that i have over 100 boxes and bags and a lot of furniture and miscellaneous items. I thought that two trucks would be the same as my neighbors that moved the day before with two men and a truck. They had two 18 wheelers type moving trucks & 4men. Their home was way bigger with way more things than i had and all their stuff fit with room to spear. The individuals under the crewmen were very professional and personable. But the hispanic man that led the second crew was not. He felt comfortable enough to tell my daughter, " if i new you guys more closely , I would tell your mother not to buy do many things" First off how dare he. His job is to move my things no matter what! Secondly, you don't address my daughter if you have an issue with my decisions and third don't tell me how to spend my money. Then because he refused to bring my fridge in and said the crew that had already left will do it. This resulted in me having to throw away all my refrigerated items because it took the first crew a while to get back here, remove my front door to get the fridge in. While moving me the guy over the first crew complained that he doesn't usually move bags. ("I told the person I scheduled with that I will need to use bags for the food after I was told to take it out. Meat can't defrost in boxes") He proceeded to complain that he is use to boxes and the bags will throw his back out. Mind you i only used the contractor bags for the food i was told that I had to clear out my freezers for the movers and our covers. Only to be told that i never had to remove my meats nor have the freezer defrosted, which ruined most of my meat overnight. I was told by the movers that i only had to remove breakables. So dispatch gave me information that cost me half the meats in my upright freezer and half in my chest freezer. Then one truck had to make a trip 1 hour and 30 minutes one way back to my old place to get the items that wouldn't fit in the two trailers on the first trip. I specifically told the guy over the first crew that i wanted my safe on the first load. He assured me that it would be. Only for him to claim he forgot and left it for the second load. I plan on going through it today to make sure nothing is missing considering he left here around 3 something heading to get what he claimed was only a few large items and didn't make it back until almost 11pm. For a table set and only a few mire items according to him. He called me at 4:08 pm after he left and asked for the third time if I wanted him to close out my ticket because of the time is still running and he was finishing up a 30 minute break. He seemed not to want to bring my other items. I explained that i had no other way to get my things which is why i booked them. Well it end it was over $1300 for one truck and over $2600 for the second one which was 15.15 hours on the second truck which put them at 12:15 the next morning finishing up. Mind you they started at 8:30am. I will never use or recommend this moving service to anyone else. I am very disappointed with the equipment and the crew leaders. The crews under them were awesome but the leaders fell short and it it cost me over $3900 just to move a 2800sq house. It would have been cheaper had I used two men and a truck like my neighbors because they were done moving them completely within 4-6 hours. read more

EXTREMELY CREEPY AND HARASSED ME- DELETED MY GOOGLE REVIEW- first off. Never again do not even think about hiring this company. My movers HARASSED ME and did not do any moving which is why it cost me 600+ to move a STUDIO apartment down the street 0.5 miles away!!!!! The leader kept asking if I was single, asked why I had "no man", asked if I liked kids and said he was only a few years older than me and his baby mama was "not in the picture". The leader would stay back when I was alone in my kitchen and hit on me when the other two helpers would pack and move. After they spent 1+ hours packing my stuff horribly, I met them outside to lead them to my new place. UNKNOWN TO THEM, I was sitting in my car parked on the street and I SAW THEM ASK A STRANGER/NEIGHBOR to take a swig OF THEIR JAMESON. So not only did I get harassed, and felt violated in my own space, I witnessed the main driver/leader take a chug of Jameson before getting into the truck to drive MY furniture to my new place. At the new place, they continued to complain and work sloppily. I had told them online when I requested I was moving to a 3rd floor unit with a service elevator and they were complaining. And they wouldn't even drop my boxes off in the right room. They left every box by the DOOR because "they were tired and it was 9 PM" and the only thing they put up was my couch and my bed. The leader then told me to FOLLOW HIM to his car alone and he'd give me his "personal card" - WHATEVER THAT means. Extremely inappropriate and creepy? He kept asking me if I was single 10x, asking why I had no boyfriend, asking me what I did for a living, if I was opposed to kids (after showing me his child's pictures) and saying the baby mama was not in the picture ?? OKAY I cannot make this up. I tried to call and report them but no one picked up and deleted my google review months ago. After all is said and done, I find out from my new neighbor the leader was telling him "a hot girl is moving in. You need to make a move" - AGAIN, extremely inappropriate and uncalled for ? My experience with AB Moving a few weeks ago was extremely disappointing across the board. From the move itself, a broken/damaged item, and the settlement they offered on my claim. The moving crew was incredibly inefficient and slow, which is quite frustrating when you are paying by time increment. I witnessed them several times in between loading trips just standing around the truck-- playing on their phones, smoking, talking to each other -- my move could have been completed at LEAST an hour faster had they not wasted so much time. They also broke my bedframe. I specifically asked for it to be disassembled when I booked the moving service and even had the tools ready to do so. The crew said it wasn't necessary to disassemble it and as a result, it broke. They then positioned the bed in a way that made no sense as if to hide the broken side from me. Just dishonest and disappointing. On top of everything, once I filed a claim, the settlement AB Moving offered me did not even come close to covering the bed frame their crew broke, plus the extra hour+ of time their crew wasted that I was charged for. I used AB Moving a few years back and had a good experience, I recommended them to several people. After this experience, I will most definitely not be using them again in the future and would not recommend them to anyone. It seems the quality of service has declined over the last couple years. Totally ripped off by these guys!! They said everything was flat rate so whatever setup and teardown they do is just covered by whatever the time is it takes. But then they hit me up with a $100 charge to unhook and reconnect the washer and dryer!! WHAAAT???!!! Had to pay it or they would leave them behind! Then when it time to pay, the driver had pre-selected a 20% tip and if you don't look carefully, you will just pay it without knowing. Be aware and don't get ripped off by these guys!! read more

This company moved me during Covid-19. I provided details in pictures and files with details of what needed to be moved and what didn't. Their packing was horrible as I will need to rebuild many of the jigs from my shop, broken glass in picture frames from being bent, a metal toaster bent and no longer able to work properly and they claim they did not take a kiln but it was gone after they picked up the load and was never delivered. They say it was not on the load. The details I provided clearly show it as an item to be moved. They were on time and communicated decently. They only sent three movers to unload two trucks which contained a woodworking shop and a leather/glass working shop. DO NOT USE THEM FOR MOVING TOOLS and otherwise buyer beware. You received these detailed files with pictures about what was to be moved. I was assured it would be done correctly. Your packers were terrible at best. Your movers who unloaded were decent and really good considering you only sent three for two trucks. Luckily there is an elevator in the house or they would never have been able to unload in a day. I trusted your salesperson who you furloughed due to Covid-19. Now you are just not even bothering to address a kiln which you have pictures of to be moved in details. It is stressful enough moving but when you have to do it remotely you have to trust your movers who acknowledged the files I sent with all the directions and pictures and you are just washing your hands of it. They stated that they had cancelled my job as i had not confirmed it. OMG! Today I had the pleasure of using this company for my move and in incredibly grateful. I moved from the Medical District to Grand Prairie. My arrival window was between 11am and 2pm. Around 12pm I received a call that they would be arriving around 12:35. The crew arrived as estimated and started working at 12:45. From the time they started they did it stop. After and hour and a half, I had to practically beg them to accept a cold bottle of water from me (it's 90+ degrees here!). They carefully wrapped and loaded all of my items and treated them all with care. They finished wrapping and loading the truck in about two hours. We headed to my new apt which was upstairs, but they tackled it like champs. It only took them a little under an hour to unload the truck, bring everything up one flight of stairs, and set everything back up. Including the drive time, it took 4 hours and 15 minutes to complete the job. I could not be more happy with the service I received today! read more

My truck was 2800lbs.. they can easily replace that with my coverage. Suprised with todays horrible move..The crew was very unprofessional. It started with being rushed to start the clock even though you were in the wrong location to moved..As I'm talking trying to tell them they need to go on the other side he is telling me I need to sign. I had three men using one dolly and leaving two in the hall as they dragged the job out. Mind you it was a one bedroom apartment with no appliances just the basics... Icing on the cake, one decide to take a shit in my bathroom 20 minutes into job. In closing, while signing to complete the job the driver snatched the phone out my hand and walked away..I had tip money in cash, but due to the way he departed he clearly didn't want it. My first flag was that my son had to wait at the storage unit for 2 hours for them to show up. Then they had to "stop and get gas" on the way to our house. Why was this not done before they got to the storage unit? The final blow came when my tool bag was "left" on the truck and the driver "didn't know who it belonged to". Customer service tries to help, but I am still waiting for my tool bag to show up. It has been 10 days since my move. Mover did call and say he was bringing it 2 days ago. I used these guys to move from Dallas to Granbury in Nov. The movers were extremely slow with Loading to the point where I started helping move boxes myself since they are paid by the hour. Prior to the move I asked if my TVs would be covered and they assured me they would be since they are licensed and insured. The movers only wrapped my 65 Samsung in plastic wrap, no blankets or padding. When I hung my TV I discovered the lower corner was damaged causing my screen to be severely damaged in my TV. When I contacted AB to file a claim they informed me that my TV was only covered at 60 cents per pound. So my 65 Samsung is valued at $33 according to AB. They stated that since I didn't opt for additional coverage this is what I was entitled to in their coverage. They never mentioned this fact prior to the move. The guys did unload the truck fast so that's was good but I'm sure my second TV is likely damaged also since they only wrapped it in plastic wrap. I'll add pics of this read more

I am extremely unsatisfied with the level of service I was provided by AB Moving. I was initially quoted 2.5 - 3 hours for my move, which ended up taking 5.5 hours. Please do not quote people 2.5 - 3 hours to complete the move if, in reality, the move is more likely to take double time - that is dishonest and extremely bad business. On top of that, my movers did not complete the job I hired them to do and left multiple important and heavy items behind without offering any alternative solution for me. Additionally, the movers could not get my couch inside (honestly they did not even really try). When I called customer service to share my experience, Trey in customer service agreed that leaving multiple items without offering any solution was unacceptable. On that call, Trey asked if a possible solution could be to send another crew over to move my things, and I said yes. After that call on the 16th, I heard absolutely nothing from customer service after calling multiple times and being promised calls back with nothing. Because I could not wait for a response or solution from AB Moving any longer, I ended up hiring another moving company to move the remainder of the items I initially hired AB Moving to move, and they were able to move my couch in as well. I have never posted a bad review before,but this company is the worst moving company I have ever used. They don't wrap expensive mirrors/art with blankets just plastic wrap so many items were damaged. When I ask them to wrap better they responded that I needed to provide cardboard if I wanted things wrapped more securely, which I didn't have on hand. Had I been informed before they arrived I would have gone and got appropriate packaging materials. Any movers I have used in the past have come with what was needed to protect your furniture,etc. One of the damaged items was a $1600.00 John Richards mirror that they broke & they offered me $15.00 for the damage. I've used this moving company may times in the past, so I figured I'd use them again for my recent move. Worst service ever. I live in a one bedroom apt. It would previously take about 2-2.5 hours to move with 2 guys. I always box and remove things from walls and put everything in the same area, so they can just arrive and go. This time it took almost 4 hours. There is literally NO reason why anyone should pay 500.00 to get a one bedroom moved. Distance between one location and other was 4min...3 miles. No living room no dining room. Just boxes, bed frame and mattresses, dresser and night stand. Washer and dryer. TV and center table. It was miserable. One of the guys worked well. The other was on the phone. Would disappear at times. I won't be using this company again nor will I be referring. read more

I had always been a AB faithful customer. I'd used them time and time again in the past, but never again after today. The crew was nice, but I was scammed. I was quoted a 4 hour move from a space that was only 1297 sq feet to a place that was 1650 sq ft. Everything was packed up super nice and wrapped so they didn't have to pack anything. With a 3 man crew, it took them SEVEN hours to move me. I ended up paying $1400 for a move which was more than double the cost I was quoted. They took a break for 45 minutes to an hour and then only took off 15 minutes from the time. They slowed around on purpose toward the end to charge me more. I reached out to a friend that does this kind of work and he confirmed that I has indeed been taken advantage of and been scammed. I even purchased them lunch gift cards as a token of appreciation before they arrived, which made it even more a slap in the face. I was utterly sick. That is an unethical practice and a scam. Danny's Crew moved me on 4/11/22 from my apartment to my new house. They were great! They really went above and beyond to protect my furniture, new wood floors at the house, and my art. They wrapped everything really carefully with furniture pads, which I appreciated so much. Everything arrived in good condition. They were extremely nice and very professional and worked so hard all day. Danny explained everything really well and they arrived on time. I've used AB moving 2 times in the past for moves. I'm moving out of state and need my truck loaded and I didn't hesitate to contact them again. Their movers have always been reliable and never damaged a single item. I owned a moving company in Dallas a few years back and whenever I was booked I always referred people to AB moving and felt very good doing so from my previous experiences. This time when I did the moving quote online, it was less than an hour before I was contacted by phone, text and email. Lol needless to say I am booked with them and ready to get things taken care of. Previously I worked with Kenny Baker (I believe he is the owner and he was always fantastic). Also, I'm having a baby in 4 days so it was very helpful to have such a smooth process. And when I move my baby will be 1 month old and i also have a 1 year old. Do not hire this company! I hired them to do a move out from a house into a storage unit and a few things going to another house. I will say, when I called in a panic two days before the scheduled move, they were able to send a team and a truck over to do the move early. I appreciated that, of course. However, the entire time the guys were working, they were complaining. I almost wanted to shout at them to shut up and just do their jobs. But, that's hardly a problem worthy of a 1 star review, as irksome as it was. Perhaps I should have known something was amiss when they could barely get all of my things in their truck. I noticed that they had some empty spaces in the truck and started to ask if they could perhaps stack some stuff a bit higher, as literally every other mover I've ever had has done, but figured they knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, because they didn't know how to load the truck, they forgot some things that are now gone forever. Thanks for that one, guys! When we arrived at the storage facility, it turned out that I had to stay downstairs with the truck because, even though I had been very clear about which things were going into storage and which were going to the second stop, they could not seem to figure it out. So, I wasn't upstairs when they loaded my things into the storage unit. Imagine my surprise when I went up to lock the unit and saw that the enormous unit was totally full! I was perplexed, but figured I hadn't calculated the space correctly, which would not shocking since I am terrible at that. However, that was not the issue at all; the issue ended up being that they loaded my things into my storage unit as they came off the truck, not even bothering to adjust for space or organization. Because of that, they loaded heavy wrought iron outdoor furniture in a back corner, on its side, so that there was a huge gap in space back there. It was literally like a little pocket of space. They then loaded my art in the middle of the unit, blocking the access to the back pocket of space, then loaded all of the boxes in front of the art. There was other areas of totally unused space as well. Oh, and they stacked some wrought iron chairs on top of a glass table top. I am sure that is broken, though I am certainly not capable of moving the chairs to check. I have spent the past week unpacking, moving, then repacking boxes so that I could actually use the storage space I pay for. I am a single, 50-year-old woman with rampant arthritis and a broken arm, so this was a massive burden on me. I contacted the company and told them they needed to come out and make this right, but nope. I emailed several times and have gotten two "we'll contact you next week," emails. I have explained that I have a hard stop on timing, but they couldn't care less. I finally called them yesterday, but of course the people who deal with claims were not there. They were answering the phone to take your money, just not fix the problems they created. Oh! also! it took them FOREVER to screw everything up this badly. I ended up having to pay them over $800 for this move. If they don't make this right, I am absolutely filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. read more

Can't say enough how amazing the service and crew was during our move. We used the Arriaga Crew and for 8 hours they went above and beyond moving two apartments into a home during one of the hottest days this summer.
