I purchased a beautiful men's full zip jacket, a women's wool blend sweater, and a Patagonia hiking shirt that was 50% off. The young man who rang me up was incredibly nice and very chatty. So much so that he accidentally rang up my purchases at full price. When he realized this, he rang me up again, saying, "Don't worry, you won't be charged twice." Long story short, when I went through my bank statement a week later, I'd been charged twice. I went in today with my statement and the clothing and Kyle was INCREDIBLE. Apologetic, helpful, reassuring, saying he'd "take care of it and contact" me tomorrow. THIS IS WHY we love smaller businesses. They are HUMAN and although like all of us, sometimes make errors, they rectified it immediately. And now I will never go back to REI unless Trail Creek simply doesn't carry what I'm looking for. #customers for life.

I came in today (Tuesday) to bring back the sneakers because they did not fit my Childs foot. I was told the sneakers were dirty and he would not refund me or store credit me my money. I explained to the man, that my son tried the shoe on with a brand new black sock, which is probably why he seen a little black scuff in the inside of the shoe. The shoe had no dirt on the outside or even on the bottom. Clearly, they were not worn, but he still refused to even give me a store credit. I have been a resident in Delaware my entire life and use to frequent this store all the time. I stopped coming when I heard that they pick in choose what they want to refund and what they dont, but because I was in a rush on Saturday, is the only reason I stopped in. I wouldn't recommend this store to my worse enemy.

The staff is super helpful because not only do they measure your feet every time, they also provide multiple items for you to try and encourage you to walk around or outside for the best feel or fit. It takes a little getting used to, because the average sneaker store doesn't do that, but they are traditional/old-school. I love it! One observation is their prices aren't listed so you got to be careful because it's easy to spend a lot of money quickly. However, i've never returned, second guest, or was unhappy about anything. This is a gold mine in a gym for Delaware sports enthusiasts; particularly runners. I recommend this place if you need a good sneaker for doing anything in!

After I wore them, I realized they really did not fit me properly. I also did not have the box anymore. But I decided to go to the store and ask if there was anything they could do for me. I was very pleasantly surprised that they immediately said they would offer me a credit or an exchange . They didn't ask me any questions. They just said they would take the shoes back. I selected the same shoes and a half size larger and they are working out really well. This is an excellent example of how customer service should work. They have a ton of very unique dresses and so reasonably priced. They have about 2 of every size which is nice if you can get there in time to get your size! The lady working was very friendly and not overbearing at all. She told us the history of the store and the owners which I always love to hear. My boyfriend was with me but its always nice to have an opinion from a lady too. I tried on two dresses. The first dress I tried on was a pink and blue dress (the one I really wanted) and it was very flattering. I tried on a second cute, multiple colored dress that my boyfriend picked out and I wasn't crazy about the way it looked on me. The lady who worked there didn't try to talk me into buying it and gave my her honest opinion which I thought was great! I ended up getting the gorgeous pink and blue dress and a cute watermelon colored cover up for the beach season. I only spent $87 total for good quality clothes that I know hardly anyone else will have ;) I will most definitely be back frequently!! side note: the lady working told me the dress i bought came in yesterday and they sold 3-4 in just over 24 hours! The owner/operator is there and attentive to everyone who walks in without hovering or rushing you about, which I appreciated. I found this place on Yelp bc it was the only women's clothing store in walking distance of Trolley Square, and I had a clothing malfunction that required the urgent and immediate need for new bottoms. There were no reviews, so I'm leaving this one since a) I walked out with a new and cute outfit plus three incredibly low-prices layering shirts all for just $110, b) it was open on a Sunday afternoon, c) I received good customer service, and d) there were clothes in my size, and e) it is the most sophisticated shop I've seen in this part of Wilmington.
