Definitely the best coffee place in Frisco...and I tried Rocky Mountain Roasters (which was good but real limited COVID hours) and Butterhorn (meh). They even had a few COVID spaced tables available which is rare to find. When I pass through Frisco again I'll caffinate at Abbey's. read more

First timer here. Just passing by Frisco from Glenwood to Colorado Springs and amazing coffee and service!

We stopped in Abbey's on our way through the area and were pleasantly suprised at all the offerings - though we only got drinks this time, there is spaced seating outdoors that is pup friendly for your four-legged friends. The staff was super nice and accomodating and the coffee was good. I also enjoyed looking at the local artwork inside while a waited, will be back again! read more

Walked in here today hoping to get a bit of coffee. I want to provide full disclosure and say that when I go to a place that specializes or claims to specialize in coffee I tend to ask what they are pouring or brewing today . This is how I ask what the origin of the coffee is or whether it is a dark or light roast. When I asked this question of the owner of this establishment on a not too busy Monday afternoon. He rolled his eyes at me and said " It is coffee beans for Coffee." Very rude and condescending. My family and I always look to support local businesses in the areas we travel to when possible. This was unacceptable in the extreme and did not seem in anyway a departure from how this party just speaks to people. Not worth getting upset about but also not worth spending money at. read more

Stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon in the summer. All their baked goods seemed to out, or the case was empty. The iced coffee, and ice cream were good. Service wasn't terrible, but not very friendly or engaging. read more

We were expecting a hometown ice cream and coffee shop. Not only was the staff impatient with our group, but the frappe was power and milk mixed in a blender. Coffee was so-so, ice cream was average. I would not go out of your way to stop here. read more

Delicious local coffee spot! I work on Main Street and love popping in here for a cup of coffee. Lovely mountain feel and friendly staff.

Stopped in on the way out of town. Picked up a couple of cafe mochas and a blueberry scone. The coffee's were very good and the scone was loaded with blueberries. The service was excellent and very friendly. They also had these handmade mugs for sale that had unique designs. We ended up buying a few of them. What a great way to end a vacation. After being stuck in traffic on I-70 coming up from Montrose to Denver I needed a jolt of caffeine, saw the Starbucks sign, and headed to find it. Biggest plus: These guys are fast and the line was never too long. Also seems family run and they greeted some folks by name. The downside is that the coffee is just ok: both the drip coffee (from a thermos) and the latte had room for improvement. Definitely not bad though and great to grab for the road heading to the ski resorts! Tip: Get the single shot latte, the double shot is a tad too bitter (single is a tad too milky but I prefer it that way round). read more

Ok people, this is a coffee shop not a doggy shop and should not get rated on whether or not they can give your dog treats all day long! I LOVE dogs, but I also love great service which this place lacked! My Chai is irrelevant since my husband ordered a 12 oz mocha and received a 16 oz instead, now for non coffee drinkers like myself - there are 2 shots of espresso in a mocha whether 8oz, 12oz or 16oz the more milk you add the more diluted the espresso is, which is all personal preference. When the error was pointed out it was asked politely if they wouldn't mind making a 12oz instead as ordered. Their remedy... THEY POURED THE 16oz MOCHA INTO A 12oz CONTAINER AND HANDED IT BACK!! At this point it wasn't worth further discussion but merits a warning to those seeking better service than that! read more

Guess where I am right now? Thaaaaaaat's right, I'm here at Abbey's Coffee, writing the review from within their walls! This is only my second time here, yet I still feel that they deserve 5 stars. It's just a fantastically cute coffee shop nestled between the mountains in my lovely town (couldn't resist -- I love to show off the fact that I live here!) Here's why I'd choose this coffee shop over Starbucks any day of the week: - Their prices are reasonable. ($6 lattes? Not here!) - They have an extensive menu: coffee, tea, smoothies, hot chocolate, hot cider, ice cream, pastries, and burritos (Yes, I'm looking at their menu right now; why do you ask?) - The lady at the counter is so sweet! She seems to have a warm, hospitable personality. - My iced tea and cheese Danish were incredible. - This is truly a local spot. I've been here for 2 hours now (mooching off their free WiFi, I admit...) and all the people I've seen coming in seem to live around here. If you see locals frequenting an establishment, you know it's good. - I don't like Starbucks. read more

It was a great place. There is another place in Frisco that we wanted to go to, Butter Horn Bakery and cafe, and the lady told us it was going to be a 10 minute wait. After 10 minutes, we went and asked her when we were going to be seated, and she said it's going to be 40 minutes. We said that she told us 10 and she said no I didn't. We argue briefly then left That point we both anger leaved and try to find a new place. We found this place, Abbeys Very simple people, very simple breakfast burritos, but very good. We got to sit outside on the patio and drink orange juice, coffee, and enjoy our burritos. It's a great place to stop in for a quick bite. read more

Let me start by saying I have lived in Frisco for 30 years and I have lived in Summit County most of my life. If I could give Abbey's no stars I would, it's sad I'm giving this review but it's warranted. Today I went to Abbey's to meet a family of eight for some coffee before they left town . I recommended we meet at Abbey's but I now regret that decision. I have been a patron of this coffee shop for many years. I use to work next door to them at what was once the Backcountry Brewery. I spent many, many times here but after today I will no longer give this establishment my business. The owner was so rude to the family I was meeting. I had just walked in the door and as the family was still putting in their order the owner started to yell at them, he demanded they go ahead and pay before they were finished putting in their order, he complained they were holding up the line. First off, there was no line! Not much of one at least. There was only one man behind the family and I was behind that man. Little did the owner know I was part of the group. This family wasn't taking their sweet time, they were just trying to get their order in. The owner had no patience and couldn't wait two minutes for everyone to place their order. This family by the way is a great-family, a nice family and they didn't deserve to be treated the way they were. The owner treated them as if they were just some scum off the street. This family wasn't rude, noisy or a nuisance; only polite and considerate grown-adults. The family I was meeting is a close knit family and upstanding citizens who are all professionals and make a good living. I've seen a lot in my day but I've never seen someone be so rude as the owner was to them. He should be ashamed. I was shocked! They were shocked and I assume anyone in there who saw how the owner treated PAYING PATRONS was shocked as well. Never again will I give my business to this shop!!! I will make it a point to let everyone I know my experience. I don't even want to eat the Zucchini Bread the family bought for me. If someone is looking for a local coffee shop then go up the road to Rocky Mountain Coffee Roasters on Frisco Main Street. It's a shame I have to give this review but the owner was out of line and it was uncalled for in how he treated the family I was meeting. One star because I cannot go lower. Staff was extremely rude. The owners husband was behind the bar and was a joke as a barista and has the worst customer service I've ever experienced in summit county. I did not want to ask him for a little extra ice because of how he yelled at my girlfriend when the cashier wrote down the wrong drink for her. Plus they were out of everything to eat when I went in in the morning. When we contacted the owner she told us her husband gets that way and that we should probably just not return. For this being in a huge tourist destination and getting this kind of treatment is unacceptable. I wish my coffee would have been good for what we had to deal with. 5 thumbs way down. So, we went to BBQ fest and had leftover hogbacks. We were told we could use them places around town THROUGH Monday (today). We decided to stop at Abbeys on our way to Denver. Well, we wanted to use our bucks and ol' dude who runs the place was like "we are no longer accepting them, I have to count them and turn them in today." Ummm excuse me, how about don't agree to be a vendor if you're not going to honor your role. However, the coffee is delicious and the baked goods are pretty good AND it's a local spot that is cheaper than Starbucks so if you can find the guys grumpy demeanor endearing you'll like this spot. My husband and I stayed in Frisco for a couple of days back in July. So glad we found this place! The employees were kind and patient, I got iced lavender coffee and my husband got iced almond joy coffee. They were heavenly delicious! We had to come back the next morning. Coffee was mediocre. The girl that prepared our drinks got our drinks wrong. It was clear, after spending some time there, that she didn't know what she was doing and was putting random stuff together and hoooping you wouldn't notice. My boyfriend ended up getting sick because of the coffee. Plus, there were barely any pastries left over, and the 3 left over had clearly been there for a while. Very mediocre. Extremely rude owner! He yelled at my friend that was trying to order breakfast and a coffee with his fiancé. Apparently they were sold out of all of their breakfast items which we were not aware of. The owner then turns to me and tries to take my order as he tells my friends to leave for simply trying to order. My friend responded by saying that the owner was being pretty rude. Our group of 7 people all walked out after being told that we needed to "Get the F@ck out" or he will call the cops. I'm sure it isn't always this way, but to have this experience at the start of a vacation isn't ideal to say the least. Oh well, another coffee shop will have our business from now on. read more

I don't know, this place just didn't seem that great to me. Our Coffee and Breakfast Burritos were just average. They are not really dog friendly, there was a sign at the front door saying dogs not allowed. They are allowed outside, so Diane waited outside while I placed my order, then we switched and I watched the dogs while she ordered, but what if I had been alone? I was not greeted at the counter and felt really rushed to place my order and get out of the way. read more

I'd read good reviews about this place, but I didn't realize until afterwards that they were older reviews. I'm guessing this place has changed since those were written. Most baristas are able to tell you what's great at their shop, but when I asked at Abbey's all I got was a rather rude set of questions ending in "I guess you would like a latte". No special house drinks recommended (and none on the menu that I saw). The shop seemed like a cool enough spot, but nothing stellar. The drink (a double latte) was alright, but not quite as hot as I'd expect when hand-steamed by a barista. All in all, just an average place to get coffee. Worth stopping by if you're on Main Street, but not worth driving/riding/walking to. read more
