They explain everything to me. Dr. O and her team even coordinate her care over text with me. They have really helped me to feel not completely alone in such a terrible time and that Bella is truly cared for. She loves everybody there especially Dr. O. If I could add five more stars I would. After bring my boy KODI to three other animal hospitals for over a year with what I consider serious issues concerning blood in stool, diarrhea, not eating and lethargy. All three doctors at those facilities blamed his being overweight and diet. But the issues did not improve with new diets, pills and prescription food. We were frustrated and KODI was getting worse. I heard about Dr. Oh at Abbott Veterinary Hospital do I made an appointment. On our very FIRST visit, Dr.Oh climbed down on the floor and did a digital exam and found that KODI had a polyp that was causing at least most of the problem. We scheduled surgery with her to remove the polyp but during surgery Dr.Oh found that the polyp was larger than first examined and she indicated KODI needed to go to Blue Pearl for more extensive surgery. To sum up the story, KODI had a successful surgery, tumor was not malignant, and he is doing exceptionally well thanks to a wonderful Dr. Oh who took the time and care to do what being a veterinarian is all about...caring for those who have no voice. First appointment I brought in my cat because he was having trouble pooping and was straining so much it was causing him to throw up. I left with only an antibiotic, probiotic and his food they'd given him. We went with the cheapest option since I am currently a college student only working a part time job. They told me in order to figure out what was wrong with him I'd have to bring him back for blood work. Two and a half weeks later I came back because of what they said. I had to come up with another 200 since the test is $185. When I get back to pick my boy up, turns out my bill had racked up to 400. So I had to get my friend to help me pay. WHY? Because medically I understand but the fact that initially came in honestly trying to do the right thing for my boy with the tightest pocket only for them to extort me from 400 dollars. I say extortion because the second visit they did a rectal exam, which should have happened the first time. instead of making me come back to pay money i dont even have in my pocket. when they handed my boy back, they placed him at the front door. i payed up front and didnt get much time to question anything since there was someone behind me. id been taken to the back with other visits and they typically take their time to explain the visit but this time they did not. my significant other called back because everything felt wrong and they did in fact state it was not necessary for my boy to have a blood test to figure out if he was constipated. they let my cat suffer for almost three weeks just for more money. i used to love coming here...thanks Dr. O for also turning your cheek when I wanted to express what had just happened. read more

I grew up with my parents bringing our cats here, so once I moved out and got my own cats I decided to come back.the entire staff is always informative and kind and less expensive than the vets I used to go to in Decatur. I have three cats, one is a stray that showed up a month ago. I needed to get him neutered and vaccinated. They did the procedure but the next day he had completely opened up the wound. Dr.Oh allowed me to bring him even though they had closed for the day and checked him out gave him extra meds. They called me back the next morning to check on him and are fixing all the damage he did (the cat is a 3 year old male that loves licking his privates). UNTRUSTWORTHY. Careless staff put my dog at risk, overdosing her with an injection, and now I hope I don't lose her. After incorrectly imputing vaccine dates into their system, they scheduled my dog for a shot she was not due for. My dog has had dangerous reactions to vaccines before, so I am very careful with them, especially their due dates. I caught their mistake while booking the appointment and they said they had apparently recorded one of the dates wrong and would fix it right away. When I brought my dog in to drop her off for the appointment, once again they said she was scheduled for the shot which wasn't due for another whole year yet. I corrected them again, and even had my dog's vaccine records from our old vet to show them just in case there were any questions. They apologized again and said they would fix their error and confirmed my dog WOULD NOT be given the shot. When I arrived to pick her up, they said the vet HAD GIVEN HER THE SHOT ANYWAY. I was panic-stricken and very upset. When the vet came to speak with me, she said their system indicated she was due for the shot because the front desk person, whose name is Caroline, did not change it nor spoke to her about it--even after my very clear and concerned conversation with her a few hours earlier!!! I started crying, fearing what this overdose may do to my dog after almost losing her to an adverse vaccine reaction several years ago. They had the gall to still charge me for the debacle of an appointment, only omitting the cost of the overdosed shot. Unbelievable. I hope Caroline and whomever I spoke with initially on the phone days ago, who was careless with my dog's medical information and did not think dates nor dosing instructions were important enough to ensure their accuracy prior to medical treatment, are dismissed immediately. I hope the rest of the front desk staff will be given the training they desperately need to value customer's concerns and learn how to execute the very basics of front desk admin, such as inputing information CORRECTLY the first time, and changing a date in their system!!! Not sure whether a lack of education, care or both were to blame, or whether they merely wanted to give my dog as many shots as possible so they could make a few more bucks--regardless of the dog's safety. Given that they thought it was appropriate to still charge any amount WHATSOEVER to a crying, distraught customer whose dog they negligently overdosed, leads me to think it is all three of the above. I trusted them with my pet and they harmed her. I DO NOT recommend this business. Abbott Animal Hospital staff have proven themselves to be incompetent, uncaring and ABSOLUTELY UNTRUSTWORTHY. read more

I love this vet. She is the best person and very fair on her services. She treats the animals that come in as if they were her own.

Due to a health situation, I decided I needed to take my dog Delta in for grooming instead of doing it myself. I sent them an email and Jeff reached back out and got me in fairly quickly which I appreciated. The staff were all friendly and talkative which I appreciated. My appointment was to include ear cleaning, anal gland expression, a brushing to deshed, and a bath along with a teeth brushing according to their website. I dropped Delta off just after 9 am and Robert (I think) the groomer called me at 10:15ish to tell me that they were finished and that she was dry and ready for pickup. I said "man that way fast" he responded and said "I've been doing this for over 10 years."He proceeded to tell me that Delta fought him the entire process and that we could try again but if she kept fighting we would have to medicate her in the future. I've had Delta for over 3 years. I have always groomed her without any issues. She has been given several baths by other offices without issue. She is however scared of loud noises like vacuums, blow dryers, thunder, and clippers. She also gets scared when she's forced or mishandled. She is a rescue dog, so she's been mishandled in the past, but she is a sweetheart and needs to be talked to not forced and medicated. So, once Robert told me this, I rushed to go get her as I knew she was scared. When I got there, they gave her back to me. She was still wet and smelled like they hadn't even given her a bath. Once I got her home and let her finish drying then brushed her out. The photo is the hair I got off her in about 10min of brushing after she was supposedly groomed. I did not bother calling the clinic back as I was to upset with the lack of service, the way Delta was presumably handled, and the way she smelled. If you are looking for nice friendly staff, this clinic certainly had that covered. I'm sure the vet is great and has the animals best interests at heart. I was planning to switch both my dog and my cat to this practice, but after this experience. they lost me as a customer. I hope this review helps others who may be looking for grooming services in the area. This is not the place for grooming. read more

A fantastic vet! I travel from Dunwoody to go here. Dr Oh and her staff are very professional and provide good advice and care for my cocker spaniel and king Charles.
