This is a woman-owned business, and a reason for the owners opening came from their passion for healthy ingredients after having a health issue. This location is in a terribly run down plaza and in the corner of the plaza not even near the anchor stores, so you really may not think much of this spot. However, this also means plenty of parking, a hidden gem, and in a bit of a healthy food desert on Military. Smoothie Whirl'd is impeccably clean inside and the smoothie workspace is open to everyone in the store. It has quite a following, with lines forming everytime I've stopped by, and I would definitely describe folks as locals, notably working folks, students (as in, people in nurse uniforms, construction hats, and teenagers in high school garb).
