I decided to visit Abby's cafe again as I needed to wait on my appointment. And what do you know? This woman is once again yelling at an employee IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT! I can not condone this type of behavior! I would very much like to know if this happens often but I refuse to return. It was appalling! I have a good mind to call the BBB on this woman. The lack of tact this woman has when handling problems with the employees is tremendous. My heart ached for the poor girl being scolded as the boy had been scolded on my first visit. I can only pray to our Father in Heaven that the owner will take care of this matter. And pray I will do! Wanted to try something different for breakfast and stumbled upon this place here on Yelp. After looking at the reviews and photos, I decided to try it out. And it did not disappoint! The restaurant was very clean and nice. Staff was very polite and friendly. The food was delicious and they have really great prices. I forgot to take more pictures, but I got the Ham & Cheese omelette and added spinach, with a pancake on the side. My boyfriend got the Chicken fried Steak and Eggs. I was heart broken today, I went to restaurant this morning to try the fried chicken steak and I was so disappointed, it was over cooked, my poor eggs were over scrambled and the cinnamon bun was as dry as the desert, it had to be the cooks off day because it was not on hit, he must of had a argument with the wifey. I love my waitress although she seemed to have had too many issues to handle. I'll go back, but don't think I'll try the fried steak again for a while. Keep rolling polly. read more

On Thursday, I witnessed the owner/server Kelly berate her bus person the taller gentleman all because he started to bus the table because the person and her son got up and left. But they weren't leaving they were going to get a toy out of the car because the kid was being annoying & loud playing with his bacon and a car truck. He was calling out to his mom but mom was too busy on her phone and ignoring him. He started getting louder & louder until she gave into him so they took off to get his toy. When mom realized he was bussing the table she ran back to say she wasn't leaving. How was the bus person supposed to know that? He was just doing his job. So, now the plates are stacked and they have to make him new eggs. He cried for about 10 minutes disturbing me while I waited for my food. Kept saying he took my eggs and crying out loud. Not once did they tell the kid it was a mistake. Kelly looked at the man and said loudly, "See what you did! It's all your fault that he's crying" DAMN! I wanted to say something to her but I held back. The lady was either a family member of Kelly or another waitress that works there. Either way I was disgusted that Kelly would berate a man like that in the middle of her restaurant. That kid was a nuisance he wouldn't stop crying. Maybe he was autistic and that's why they let him get away with acting like a brat in public. I go back because the food is good and prices are reasonable. But Miss Kelly, you've got to get your face to not show your disgust when you're mad. You shouldn't have taken out your anger out on the bus person where all us were able to see you do that to him DO BETTER I am disgusted in you! read more

For Hemet it is the best ma and pa diner in town. Small Cali style and nothing like back east but hey it's back to basics. My dear friend Dena Moise surrender her body Feb. 2019 and this was one her favorite spot to dine. They do cater if you have a delicate stomach. As always just a nice stop to grab some grub before heading up to Idylwild. I will always promote this fine diner because in the last 12 yrs I have nothing but fond memories of Dena! If you are on Hwy 74 and you need to cool off well this is your stop. They do have traditional bathrooms but they can pass for unisex bathrooms. I always go to the men's restroom if a mama is to busy changing babies diapers. No one cares what you are to use the restrooms. The Diner is easy for those in special wheels. Went for the first time this morning. Ordered the western omelet with country style potatoes and it was amazing. The Restuarant was clean and the staff were great. I was with a large group and my drink was never half empty before being refilled. Our food came out quick and staff was really friendly. Several police officers were there having breakfast and I learned they were pro police. I'll always support companies that support America's heroes. Well I try to order something else each time I return here but I just can't help myself. Best thing on the menu. Rich and creamy dollop of sweet whipped cream on top of pillows of chewy French Toast. I love ordering this plate with a side of sausage links. The caramel sauce is super delicious and best when dipping your sausage link in it. The only thing I can suggest is for this place is to have better COFFEE. Breakfast is always better with some great coffee to pair with. Been a customer for the past couple years. Almost always great service and good food at a good price. Went tonight and what was 24 dollars last week is now 30.15. The portions are smaller, and the food quality was uncharacteristically bad for Abby's. The short waitress immediately presented a less than professional attitude, and was immediately frustrated with basic math. Price increases to stay in business are understandable. Unprofessional staff and a decrease in portion and quality are not. Before tonight, I'd have recommended Abby's to anybody.... Now not so much. read more
