    D&G Auto Repair

    D&G Auto Repair

5 Stars - Trustworthy, Professional, and Woman-Friendly Auto Shop!…read more I found D&G Auto Repair thanks to the great Yelp reviews, especially from other women. My longtime mechanic had retired, and I wasn't sure where to go next until I discovered D&G Auto Repair on Yelp! In August 2025, I brought my car in for brake service (pads and rotors replacement). From the very beginning, I felt I was in good hands. Paulo, the manager, responded to my Yelp inquiry almost immediately. He was professional, kind, and attentive. He listened carefully to my concerns and explained everything in a clear, respectful way, something I truly appreciate. I felt a strong sense of trust that he genuinely cared about my car and my safety. When I arrived at the shop, Paulo was just as professional and kind in person. He made me feel confident in my choice to use to D&G Auto Repair. After I left my car, he followed up via text with an estimated bill before starting any work, which gave me peace of mind and control over the process. The shop itself is small but clearly run by expert technicians, and the waiting room is clean and comfortable, a nice bonus! I returned yesterday with a question about a noise I'd heard. Tony, one of the technicians, came out and personally walked around my car with me. He pointed out how clean it looked and even asked about repairs I had done elsewhere. He gave me a mini lesson on body repair which was surprisingly enlightening. He then gave me directions to the nearest Auto Parts store and Car Wash. That kind of extra care is rare and so appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend D&G Auto Repair, especially for women who are looking for a respectful, honest, and trustworthy place to bring their vehicles. I'll definitely be back!

At first they thought the tire could be salvaged but it was then discovered that there was a big gash in the side wall and a new tire was needed. Though they were closing at 5:30 and it was already close to that time, they got the new tire on and I was able to be on my way. Big shout out to Bassil and his colleagues for taking care of me. Much appreciated.

I heard loud noise. I took my car to VIP for the "free brakes check". While I was explaining the situation to a man at the front desk. Leroy was also there. He stood up and gave me his business card and told me that he is the "super star"(so childish). Then he told me that there are "free" and "paid" brake checks. The free one is just a simple visual check. The paid one is just for them to look deeper. I said I just want the free brake check since the car passed inspection 2 weeks ago. After he looked at my brakes, he said everything was ok. He simply explained the health of the brakes to me once. I asked him if he could repeat one more time so I can write down the details. He refuses and said, "I only said it once". I was shocked for his attitude. I really don't like this type of customer service. He is just too lazy to do anything. Just sitting there and playing with his phone. Claimed to be the "super star". This is ridiculous! People need to grow up.

Khalil handled everything! The insurance quoted too low for the repairs and he submitted the supplemental report. Once that was approved, he got the repairs done quickly. He always addresses all of my questions and concerns. He is a great communicator and leaves me a voicemail update when I can't answer the phone. Khalil and his team are the best!! Original review: I've come here the last several times my car needed repair and they have done a great job. They answer all my questions and I've been making an effort to learn more about cars and how they work and they've been teaching me bits as I we go. They give great and timely service addressing all concerns. I highly recommend!!

Afterward, I learned from Herb Chambers Toyota of Boston that my issue was connected to a recall and that the repair would be covered at no charge by Toyota. When I informed Foreign Motors, I was told that my car was moved to their other location but not to worry because they had a friend at Toyota who would handle getting the recall work done once they towed the car there. Later, when I contacted Toyota directly to confirm whether my car had arrived, the owner of Foreign Motors became upset and told me I needed to trust him and that I was damaging his relationship with his contact at Toyota. This left me with the impression that they may have initially been attempting to repair the issue themselves and charge me for work that ultimately should have been covered under the recall, although I cannot say that for certain. The entire experience left me uncomfortable and concerned about transparency and communication. To be fair, they did help coordinate getting the car to Toyota, but based on my experience, I would encourage customers to independently verify recall coverage and repair details directly with the dealership before agreeing to major repair costs.

Have driven a bit since I got the car back with the new tires and it says the air pressure in 1 of my new tires is 1. After completing work they should have teated everything and addressed the TPMS alert, but it was 4 pm on a Saturday after I had been there since 12:45 pm. I also got an oil change which I was quoted $69.99 and was charged $78.98. They never put an oil change sticker on as I have the sticker from my last oil change done elsewhere nor did they reset the dashboard message, which makes me believe they didn't complete the oil change. Front desk was friendly although I waited 13 minutes before anyone showed up to the front desk. Now I need to go back and find out why my TPMS light won't go out and all 4 tires have different air pressure. Also need to find out why I never got any proof of my oil change in the form of a reminder and car notification reset. I have do to this on a work day, the exact thing I was trying to avoid for a problem that shouldn't exist. Jury is out on if I will rerate this or recommend it as I am feeling uneasy about the attention to detail.
