DELICIOUS ARUGULA FARRO SALAD We recently had lunch at the ABC Commissary. Everyone enjoyed their Pork Carnitas Tacos ($11.49) - two generously filled tortilla tacos with a large side of rice and black beans. Large enough to share for a light meal. We also ordered the Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich ($12.79). The grilled cheese sandwich came with a side of Arugula Farro Salad that was the highlight of the lunch. The delicious salad was well prepared - the farro was tender but still had a nice bite and was balanced by fresh peppery arugula and a tangy vinaigrette. The salad can be purchased as a stand-alone side ($4.29). The thick grilled cheese sandwich was disappointing. The barely warm dense cheese layer had zero flavor and was neither hot nor gooey. The "buffalo chicken" was an unseasoned piece of chicken breast. Limited Menu: for those craving fast food, ABC Commissary may be a no-go because it does not serve beef burgers, chicken fingers, pizza or hot dogs. Consider mobile ordering: there was only one register and one person who heroically managed two long lines of guests (us included) who did not want to do mobile ordering. On today's edition of "Disney By James", let's visit ABC Commissary! One of my favorite places for lunch in all of Walt Disney World. The menu is usually pretty diverse and I've found that the food quality here is pretty good (which can't be said about every location in Disney)... Plus this place offers one of my "go to" lunches when visiting the parks- the Mediterranean salad with Chicken. Delish! Pro tip... this quick service location has drink dispensers that can be accessed by guests. If you don't want to purchase a bottle of water, ask for a courtesy cup and keep refilling from the fountain. read more

A solid quick place to get lunch meals in Hollywood studios, average from $12-16 dollars. Everything is counter service and nice thing here is you get refills on your sodas . My favorite thing here was the shrimp tacos, nice big shrimp decent spicy chipotle sauce. The Carnita tacos were not bad moist went well with pickled onions. I did not tell my son at the time he ordered but the California burger is a plant based burger with peppers and tomato. My son actually did not know it was meatless until, I told him not his favorite burger but he was content. The Mediterranean salad was one of the best values for $15 you get salad with olives and feta served on top of a big piece of pita bread served with hummus. The vinaigrette they use was tasty and you can just to pay a little more for the chicken. read more

This place was surprisingly delicious. I did a mobile order for lunch around 10:30 am. Technically, they were not open for lunch until 11 am but I was able to pick up my food before they officially opened for lunch. I ordered the Mediterranean salad with chicken and was feeling festive so I also ordered the holiday exclusive Santa's belt cookie. The salad came in a huge serving with a full size grilled flatbread. The hummus was similar to the ones served at Backlot Express. Chicken was also nicely marinated and grilled. I asked for the dressing on the side as I didn't want my salad to be overly wet. The cookie was bigger than my face and was only $3.99 (super cheap for Disney prices imo). It was a chocolate shortbread cookie with white chocolate frosting. It was too sweet for me and couldn't finish the whole cookie, but great to share with a group of people. read more

I've been to Hollywood Studios at least a dozen times and this was my first time eating at ABC Commissary. It is one of the older (possibly an original) quick service restaurant at DHS. First of all, it has a real traffic flow problem due to the barriers in between the seating areas and the entrance. The line for ordering food blocks traffic flow. The food wasn't great. There are far better options in other parts of the park. Sunset Blvd. and the quick service options in Galaxy's Edge are far better. All of the table service restaurants at DHS are also great. ABC shouldn't be your top choice, but the lines are usually shorter, which could be a draw for some. read more

I'd say this particular restaurant is slightly above ok for Disney quick service. Food wasn't memorable but also wasn't horrible. I ordered the kid's chicken sandwich and my husband ordered the shrimp tacos. The kid's meal came with a drink, chips, and a clementine. Honestly, it was decent for the price ($8) and filled me up. My husband said the shrimp tacos were good and the shrimp was actually cooked well. Adding an extra star because not only do you get to sit inside (a nice break from the Florida sun), but they also bus your table for you which is a nice touch at a quick service spot. There aren't a ton of fast eating options at Hollywood so it's likely I will come here again given that it was a fairly decent experience. read more

We stopped in here because it has a fairly large indoor seating area which offers a nice respite from the heat. The online ordering system through the app was not working for this location sadly, but the lines were not too long. I went for the BBQ plate which had a large serving of ribs plus fries and a tiny cup of coleslaw. Overall it was not too good. The meat was quite dry and tough though the fries were hot and crispy. The coleslaw was OK though a tiny portion. Always go for booze on the dining plan, so I tried the "Happy Daze." This was the highlight of the meal as it was refreshing and fruity though a fairly small cup. I think is one of the few Disney park dining places where you can refill your soda at the self service fountain, but don't quote me on that. Staff were friendly and circulating cleaning tables. The air conditioning was working well, so you'll cool off quickly too. Overall a decent quick service meal though not one of the best Disney offerings. read more

I've been to this restaurant many a times, and every time it's exactly how I expect it to be. However this time I ordered the mint chocolate cheesecake, and the tropical tart...and it blew my mind! I really don't find mint "flavored" desserts appetizing yet the fluffiness of the cheesecake and chocolate perfectly blended together in each bite, and not one ingredient ever overpowered the other. Now let me tell you about this tropical tart. It's like a smoothie in your mouth! Every bite had a different tropical vibe, and I must say: I was quite disappointed it was over as I took my last bite. The ambiance of the restaurant is quite casual and resembles that of a building lobby, with decorative plants and spacious seating. It's also a great way to get out of the heat if Florida is getting...well, too Florida for you on your vacation. Overall I like the fries here and nuggets, but these limited time desserts are a MUST if you are looking for a (budget friendly) dessert during your day at Hollywood Studios Florida! read more

Came while visiting the park with my sister and mom. Was pleasantly surprised at the cost, amount of food, and price for everything. The younger short haired blonde woman working at the cash register was so friendly and sweet and provided excellent service. We had the kids pork taco, kids chicken salad sandwich, and the Buffalo chicken grilled cheese. The pork for thr taco was so moist and tender and the beans were delicious. The chicken salad was fresh and tasty. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was so yummy and warm with a Buffalo dipping sauce. They saw my sisters birthday button and gave her a free cupcake which was super sweet. I came back and ordered the chocolate mint cheesecake which was not only gorgeous but so good! read more

This is our go to spot at Hollywood studios. We can eat inside with the massive amount of seats in multiple areas. It feel like a diner or a cafe inside. You order your food and go sit at a table. You can refill your drinks on your own and they have condiments for your meal that you can grab so it's a super convenient place to regroup. I would definitely suggest getting the side farrow salad with a sandwich instead of the fries. It was a nice size and light for a day trip at Disney. I really enjoyed ABC Commissary. It was so easy to order through Mobile Order and I loved that I could order a couple sides as my main meal. I would have enjoyed more seating available, but as it was, finding a spot wasn't too bad. The rice and peas were extremely filling and they were probably the best food (beyond the Epcot International fare) that we ate during our Disney World trip. With my specialized diet, having rice available makes everything easier, so I appreciated their variety of options. The service was friendly and quick, and while we likely won't go to Hollywood studios again, we will definitely drop by ABC if we do. read more

For a company that prides itself on offering a "magic experience", they sure missed the mark today. We were at the cashier and asked how we could buy a souvenir cup of bb8. The cashier said "buy this drink and the cup comes with it." My 12 year old really wanted the cup as a souvenir. We ordered the drink for a ridiculous price. We wait for our food and have a normal plastic cup with a sushi. We point out that we were supposed to get the bb8 cup. The person handing out the food says we didn't order it correctly, even though it was the cashier's fault if something was keyed incorrectly. To recap, we paid extra for a drink we didn't really want just for the cup. We didn't get the cup. Disney "cast members" didn't try to rectify the situation at all and blamed us for jot ordering it correctly. Failure on all fronts over a cup that probably costs them $2 that we were told we paid for. read more

BUMMER! We were really excited about ABC Commissary as a dining option. They had mediocre burger/chicken finger type food for AGES, and they have upped their game. The menu looks interesting with Mediterranean and Asian influenced options. Currently, with the COVID-19 precautions, the only option for dining here is Mobile Ordering. You have to find a future time slot, place your order, pay online with a card on your My Disney Experience App. You need to check in on your phone to tell them you're there at the appointed time. And after you get a message that your food is ready. Then they will check you in. You have to be sure to plan ahead! It's a necessary evil, but it keeps the guest counts in the dining room and picking up under control. The inside is very low-contact, and the staff does a great job of keeping things clean. Leave your dirty dishes on the table, so no one accidentally sits there. I ordered the Chicken Club ($11.99) Marinated Chicken Breast served on a Toasted Brioche Bun topped with Bacon, Provolone, Guacamole, Ranch Dressing, Lettuce, and Tomato served with choice of side. I chose the Arugula-Farro Salad. The sandwich was good, nothing fabulous but had a good size Chicken Breast and plenty of toppings. The side salad had great potential. The Arugula and Dressing were wonderful. There was just a tiny bit of Farro, and the Apples and Dried Cranberries were barely noticeable. My husband ordered the Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich ($10.99) Grilled Sourdough toasted with Buffalo Chicken, Monterey, Provolone, Cheddar, and Cream Cheese served with a side of Buffalo Sauce and one side - he opted for Steak Fries. The name is a little deceiving - as Buffalo Chicken listed first, it sounds like a MAJOR ingredient. He expected slices or pieces of Chicken Breast with Buffalo Sauce in a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. It's actually a Cheese Spread with barely visible Chicken, Cheeses, Cream Cheese, and a little Buffalo Sauce grilled between two pieces of Bread. It was running out the side of the bread and had no texture. The Steak Fries were okay, and the side of the dipping sauce was good. Fountain Sodas are $3.99. There is an attendant there handing out drinks as what would normally be the self-serve station. They will give you a refill in a clean cup if you go back. It might be hard with the touch-free transaction if you decided to add on another side or get dessert after your pick up. We logged back n to see if we could add a Whoopie Pie and only got pick up times for an hour from the current time. They are paying a lot of attention to service and cleaning safety - we wish the food got the same attention to detail. read more

I honestly only come here for the Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese, If I ever come to Disney World and they stopped selling this sandwich, I would be heartbroken. We wanted to go to the sci Fi theater, but ended up here since there were no lines. I enjoyed that there were mobile orders as well so you could order as you are walking in on the app. I got the grilled cheese with tomato soup, it was expensive like most things are in Disney but was better than your average food stand. ABC Commissary is now back on my favorite list of quick service dining in Disney! We tried the Curried Rice Bowl with Shrimp ($13.99) and the Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese ($10.99). The food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. They have a completely new menu and added unique and healthy options which is a nice change from pizza, burgers, etc! Overall a great meal and social distancing is done well! Ordering is done through "mobile order" which I prefer! You order through the My Disney app on your phone, pick an arrival time, order, and pay, for your food. Once you get there you click prepare my order and the app will notify you once it's ready. You can still order at the front of the restaurant with a cast member if it's not your preference. read more

Yes try not to eat much while at the parks because everything is super overpriced. However I was super surprised with the food at ABC Commissary. I got a burger and my bf got the vegetarian meal. Together we shared a holiday drink. With covid right now Disney makes you purchase your meal online during designated time slots. The process was pretty easy and they call your name/ let you know on the app when the meal is ready. As mentioned before the food was better than I was expecting for park food. I was warned about this place on DFB Guide (shout out!!) but I still ventured in to see for myself. I didn't have high hopes and still left pretty disappointed. At first glance, the menu doesn't look too bad. They have a variety of options and not just burgers/fries like all the other places. We ordered: -Shrimp Teriyaki Bowl: Brown rice was HORRENDOUS. Cardboard might taste better. The shrimp w/ teriyaki sauce was decent. Vegetables were slightly wilted. -Pork Quesadilla (Kids Meal): MEH. Average and nothing too spectacular. Came with side of roasted corn & fries. Also came with juice. -Strawberry Parfait: Sugar free and topped with blueberries. This was good, but also something you could easily get an McDonalds. This cafe is a comfortable, welcoming spot for a break. Over two days my husband, sister-in-law and I visited three times. The cafe has ample indoor seating and provides comfortable chairs with padded backs and seats. (Not easy to find in Disney World). Sometimes we just ordered hot cocoa or coffee, but the staff cleaning the tables let us sit in peace and did not try to rush us out of the restaurant. You order at the counter. I cannot even remember what food we ordered. What I remember about the ABC Commissary is how tired we oldsters were after several days of walking many many miles how and refreshing it was to relax here. A huge location that offers quick serve food close to the main hub of Hollywood Studios. The biggest downer here is that it's very tight to get into line and back out to seating. They pack everything in here and you aren't allowed to take in strollers, which is exceedingly difficult when I go with our 20-month old by myself. Try juggling a tray, drinks, toddler, and baby diaper bag while waiting in a line and getting to a table.... The menu has a variety of offerings, and they have a few adult beverages here as well if you are interested. I usually do the chicken fingers with fries. They have apple juice for littles, as well as, milk and water. The food is served at the counter, drinks are out in the main area and self-serve. Overall: B Difficult when you're on your own with little ones, but does have good food a moves the line fast. read more

A friend and I stopped by the ABC Commissary to grab a quick bite to eat before watching Fantasmic. It had been a REALLY long time since I had eaten there, and I was pleasantly surprised. I expected the run of the mill Disney theme park food, but the menu had so much more. After looking at the menu, which included a land and sea (fried chicken and shrimp) platter, teriyaki shrimp bowl and vegan burger, I opted for the vegan burger. I didn't see an option to switch the fries out like in other quick service (QSR) locations. That would have been my preference, but no big deal. My friend got some chicken tenders. You'll get a buzzer which lets the cast member know where you are seated. Pricewise it seems no different than the other QSR locations. We were able to find a table without a problem, but there were just two of us dining. As other Yelpers noted, there are no refills with soda. Their condiment bar has the standard sauces. By the time we got there, there was only one side of the condiment bar open, so there was a small line for that. Both of us really enjoyed our meals. All of the cast members that we interacted with were really great. I will definitely be back to the ABC Commissary on future trips. read more

Just a little kick with some extra sauce to dip it in. Decent quick service menu at Hollywood studies. Family had the ribs and chicken, chicken strips and cheeseburgers. Cheeseburgers were obviously a frozen patty, very bland and flavorless. If your hungry it does the trick but don't expect to be in flavor country. The chicken and ribs were ok. The ribs were fatty but had a good amount of meat on one side of them. The chicken was solid, juicy in the middle and very filling. Thought the chicken strips were the best meal. Very similar to a McDonald's chicken strip. Get 4 strips with fries, the best selection to make. The fries were cooked well, came out crispy and hot. BBQ sauce unfortunately was the thick and corn syrupy mess that resembles a Kraft sauce. They could go better. If your looking for a bite to eat for lunch you could do worse then here. read more

The Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese is something out of a dream. Take a perfectly creamy buffalo chicken dip, add more cheese, and two slices of bread. Then toss it on the flattop and cook it to a beautifully golden perfection. The sandwich comes with a side which include items like a fresh Arugula-Farro Salad, rice, or steak fries and comes with a cup of extra buffalo sauce. I always tend to go for the steak fries because they are top tier. A slight crunch on the outside but soft and melty inside. And they get even more delicious when dipped in the buffalo sauce! read more

Within Hollywood Studios... if you're not sure what to eat and are very hungry, ABC Commisary isn't bad to satisfy the food hungers. They serve burgers and fries, ribs and tenders. This is a quick service venue. There's a ton of seating inside in air conditioning; a few patio seats if you'd like to bask in the sun. By the time we walked in, we received food within 10 minutes, seated and ate. The food isn't mindblowing but it's filling. A portion of burger and maybe a cup or half a cup of crisp fries. Water is free so make sure you hydrate! The seats are comfy. For a last minute, I don't know what I want and I don't want to wait meal, this was ok! Not too many food options in Hollywood Studios that don't require a reservation, so good luck foodies! read more
