*******BEN IS A RASCIST!!******* I went to this place…read morebecause it was recommended to me to help my minor son cash his check without ID. Ben the owner I guess yelled at my son and asked for ID my son respectfully replied "No sir I don't have an ID......." As he was trying to explain himself Ben cut him off and yelled again asking if he'd ever been there again my son respectfully replied " No sir" he yell him again "If you don't have an ID no I won't cash your check!" A man cashing his check at the window next to us then spoke up and said "Man Ben when I first came here you never asked me for any of that s***" that's how I found out his name was Ben. I then started making calls to find out where I can go and this place was recommended by several people. I then realized a pattern everyone who had cashed their checks there without ID were Hispanic/Mexican. So was the man who spoke up while we were there. I hate to say this and I never thought I would have to do this but here it goes. HE'S A RASCIST! He took on look at my son who is mixed and wanted nothing to do with him. I'm reading reviews of people cashing checks without ID's and we were rudely and loudly denied that chance.

I purchased Mumbai Pav on April 20th, and the expiry date mentioned was May 16th. The same day I opened it, it was full of fungus from inside and looked hard and expired. I even made a video of it. Today, I went to the store again for groceries, and at the checkout counter I informed them about my previous purchase and showed them the video. They said they wanted the receipt along with the product. How can they expect someone to keep FUNGUS-INFECTED BREAD for almost a month, especially when I live very far from the store? Instead of apologizing, the rude lady at the counter said, "How do we know you purchased it from here?" I told her, "Look at my purchase today. Does it look like I am lying for a $5 bread?" Every month, I spend around $200 on groceries at this store. From now onward, I will never shop here again. That's not my loss, bro. You are selling EXPIRED PRODUCTS. Please train your staff on how to behave with customers, especially that rude lady at the counter. Another incident: one of my friends bought daal from this store that had many insects in it. The packets are usually kept near the entrance. When she informed them about it, they neither exchanged the product nor gave a refund

If you like them get them here raw and roast them yourself! I love Indian food too and cooking it. They do have everything needed! Plus they have Indian street food snacks. It is only open I believe Friday to Sunday. I got the chance to try the pani puri. I saw the cart outside several times. This time it was set up inside. The girl who served them to me was kind and patient. They have to fill each and give it to you on the spot otherwise it gets soggy. It is an explosion of flavors! It is conveniently located near UTSA and has several international food trucks parked in the lot outside. In the grocery area they don't have produce, but a big variety of sauces, seasoning, furikake, soba noodles, curry mix. They had a lot of snacks also, including crackers, chips, and osenbe. In the back they have a freezer section with some frozen fish, udon noodles, ramen, and natto. I got some canned coffee also from their fridge and they sold a lot of bottled drinks (calpico, etc). They have a large variety of snacks, candy, beauty products, clothes, accessories, and almost anything you could want. On top of all that already great news the staff here is always over the top with kindness. Every time me and my sister come the workers have conversations with us, compliments, and are super helpful in finding prices. This is a great place to visit and is definitely a great spot.
