While I had a good experience making my purchase, I had an even better service with the furniture delivery by Sione and Kino. I purchased a dining room table with chairs (Kapolei) and a very large and heavy teak root console (Honolulu) for a combined delivery. They arrived on time. Sione confirmed were in the house I wanted the items placed. I was very concerned that my new vinyl flooring was not damaged as the teak root was extremely heavy. They did a great job, very courteous, and made sure the piece was centered to the wall. Too bad the lady who called in the morning of the delivery had a "sour" attitude. Finding a seat... I've purchased several items at INspiration on Kapiolani but since I was in the area for other reasons I though why not give this locations peek since they do have lots of options for all types of furnishings. Obviously located in Kapolei Commons which is amazing as there's lots of free parking options you can find them all the way at the end after Target near the theater which is nice that we didn't have to fight to find a stall as it can get quite busy in that part of the shopping center. Walking into the spacious showcase floor we were greeted by a staff to a point that we didn't need any assistance at the moment as we started to look for a chair...yup just a simple single chair which sounds easier than done we came here knowing that they do have a great selection to choose from and found prices from $79 to $499 for a single chair lol! All the way in the back there is a section that they consider the "outlet" prices which looked the same as the rest of the prices so it didn't seem like it was a discount as one was a floor model that should be the obvious discounted price to offer but didn't find anything in that section. With that we did find a chair that fit all the boxes that we were looking for and found the sales staff to finalize the sale and as she did her thing we paid and was given the chair as I asked if they had it in stock to the answer she replied yes they did..yay! She walked over and gave us the chair from the floor...and said this was it? To her defense it was New Year Day and the warehouse was closed BUT didn't confirm that if the floor model would be okay and still sold it to us at full price...she thought that we didn't mind. I didn't appreciate the lack of communication but took it anyways paid and got our paperwork to which we walked out the door quite disappointed to which she chased us down later cause she need the tag that was attached to it lol, then came back again for the paperwork to confirm we got the item...not impressed with the professionalism and communication as it all was very basic yet done so poorly for just a chair thankfully it wasn't a whole set of furniture. read more

Sales associates are available to assist. 3. The warehouse staff was able to assemble the table for pick up. We were told to call ahead about 2 hours before pick so the staff had enough notice. Our sales associate, DJ, was most helpful, informative, and above all else, very patient. The table we had selected was on back order, and we were told we had to pay the full cost in advance to secure our order. From start to finish my family had an amazing experience here. We first came into the store end of December just to kind of see our options for a full sized bed for my daughters room. We had just moved to the island and were still living in a hotel so there was no rush and when we came here we did not feel pressured to buy. But being the island isn't that big there's only so many furniture stores and out of all the stores we looked at we fell in love with a bed here for my daughter to grow into over the years. We sat on the decision to buy the bed from here for another 2 weeks or so just to make sure that's the bed we really wanted because we knew they didn't have any in and their next shipment wouldn't get here til mid February. Middle of January I went back with just my daughter and Charmaine's card to purchase the bed. Charmaine was not there but the lady at the front was more than willing to help and made the purchase so easy. Not even 2 weeks later I got a call from Charmaine saying the shipment came in earlier than expected and that they can already schedule me for delivery. So we went ahead and scheduled my delivery for February 9th. Now this morning I got a call from the delivery driver letting me know his eta. It was just 2 guys but they did a phenomenal job. They were fast and efficient and were in and out within 30ish minutes. They even took their shoes off before taking the bed upstairs which I wasn't even expecting but loved because I hate the germs that come with wearing outside shoes in the house. I visited this store last night and was disappointed, so I had to write a review. Disclosure - I never write bad reviews, only good ones. That's how disappointed I am. The sales people we friendly and nice but what I was told was "Store Policy" was a little shady. I got credit approval through one of their promotions for Wells Fargo 100% financing with no interest for 12 months - awesome. When I went to checkout I was told I was required to put 25% cash down. I explained that no where in their ad, the bank I was financed through, or nowhere for that matter did it state that I had to put 25% cash down. The salesperson called a manager and they said that the requirement is in writing but... they couldn't provide proof. After back and forth they said that the 25% down was "Store Policy". I also wanted to buy something on sale for from their ad, they denied it was a Hawaii ad. After I proved them wrong they said they would charge me full price for the item and refund me the sale price after the ad was approved by management. Went to just look at a couch and ended up buying a couch. They had a special for the holiday. And if you didn't take that special you can finance it.They had financing without interest. They run different specials and the financing changes throughout the week. My special I got was not the same special when I went in with my mother. They have a variety of furniture for your homes. Bought what was supposed to be a leather couch from here shortly after the 2 Year's warranty this happened contacted them since it's past 2 Year's they can't help. They called me back and said it's not bonded and it's split leather. I also contacted a professional he said leather is not supposed to peel off like this especially in these 2 spots. This isn't the only inspiration I've been to in Hawaii and received the same response. The Kapolei Commons Location on this day was the one with the most floor workers in sight (at least 5), the least customers on the floor (only about 4) , and yet still no one bothers to greet me or ask me for assistance. Overall, the feeling I get when I walk in here is "unwelcomed" and "we don't need your business". If you've never been to an inspiration gallery, the prices are marked at a premium. I have received better customer interaction from HomeWorld Gallery/Ashley/Red Knot, where prices are competitive with a better selection. Today, I was looking for something unique and willing to pay. Oh, if there was only Ikea on the island...yes, you could use Haul2Hawaii or another service, but if you're looking for modern decor and furniture, INspiration is one of your few options on the island. The Kapolei location is the place to go over the town-side location because: - Parking is super easy in the mall lot out front. - No stairs or elevators: all items are on display on the ground floor. - If you like bargains, the "last-chance" section at the back gives you a chance to pick up assembled odds and ends or clearance items at steep discounts. - It's less busy than the town location so waaay easier to find and get help. - The checkout process is much nicer: less cramped and less rushed. - The Kapolei warehouse is literally down the road, if you need to pick up something not in-store. It's true there's no cafe built into this store (like the town location), but with all of the food options around - both cheaper and more expensive - you may not miss the cafe! read more

I visited this showroom location on several occasions and had two different customer experiences. The first time I came here was during their grand opening week. Customer greetings were non existent and even though I was just browsing this time no salesperson working the floor asked if I had any questions or if I needed help with anything. The second time I came here I was actively looking for a dining table and was approached by a saleswoman (I think her name was Patty?) who immediately saw my interest in one of their tables and spent time giving me information and showing me other options in their showroom. Although her product knowledge wasn't that great, I really appreciated that she wasn't pushy and didn't try to sell me on the more expensive models but rather spent time understanding my exact needs and what I told her I was more interested in. Aside from the inconsistent service this location may have, the showroom itself is really impressive and offers a wide selection of quality designer furniture. I ended up purchasing my dream dining table from here and I couldn't be happier (side note: all furniture collections are a la carte and not sold as sets)! And don't forget to check out the discount section of furniture towards the back of the store! I went to the store willing to spend a lot of money they did not have the sales person available when I made an appointment the sales person was late the furniture was overpriced when I chose to buy something it was only available to me two months later and I could not buy the furniture on the show floor The sales person had no knowledge of anything in the whole building I had to go down the street about a mile and I went to HomeWorld furniture and bought everything I needed for half the price with a very good sales person that knew the furniture in the building . Inspiration furniture was the worst retail space I've ever encountered in my life sales people that don't know the furniture should not be on the floor and they charge twice as much never go to that place ever that's a one star get some people that know how to sell things. The manager said they would not sell me the furniture I wanted because it's only there for show. I spent $4000 and minutes later at HomeWorld. go to HomeWorld they have everything you ever need. I actually don't like to give bad reviews, but I feel it's my responsibility to warn my fellow Yelpers. Inspiration Interiors is already known for being really expensive but I thought I'd give it a go since I was in the area. Finding a beautiful floor mirror isn't easily available and at a fair price, so when I found one and on sale, I thought it was a win. To my surprise, this purchase was not the smooth transaction I thought it'd be. Warning 1: if you plan to pickup your order from the store and forego delivery, you're only allowed to pickup from 10a-5p between Tuesday through Saturday. Also, you will not be able to load your item into your car, and I was told a specific warehouse worker needs to load it for liability reasons. Warning 2: service is unreliable and unapologetic. Warning 3: very poor customer service and an unwillingness to help fellow coworkers (as a result, this affects customers). My experience in a nutshell... When purchasing my mirror, I was told I could pickup my order at any time and to only call an hour before I head over to the store. Following the instructions given, I called the store on a weekday (Thursday) after finishing work at 430p. This is where I found out about their strict pickup hours. The worker was not apologetic, and when I asked for her to take a message that I'll be coming to pickup my mirror on Saturday, she refused as she wasn't sure the staff the following day would get my message, so she instructed me to call back the next day (Friday). As instructed, I called on Friday to inform the staff that I'd be coming by to pickup my mirror the following day at a said time. Already experiencing some poor customer service, I made it a point to confirm with the staff that someone will be available at the said time and that my mirror will be wrapped up and ready for pickup. Saturday comes and another disappointment. I pulled up in front of the store and arrived at the said time. Apparently the man that usually assists with loading was not there. After I indicated that I called yesterday for this reason, they decided to call another worker from the back to assist. On top of that, my mirror was not ready. It was still displayed on the floor, unwrapped and covered with smudges, tape from the "sold" sign and harsh glue residue on the bottom and at the top where the price tag was attached. I was told it would take an extra 15-20 minutes to wrap my mirror. I declined. I did though ask that the mirror be wiped before being loaded. Of the six workers I noticed, only two chose to help (the man to assist with loading and the sales girl I purchased from), while the others chit chatted or snickered with each other, despite my voicing of my terrible experience and the wait time. It ended up taking over thirty minutes to finally leave the store. I found out that the sales girl I purchased from was new, and she was apologetic. I totally understand workers being new, but I don't understand why staff aren't being properly trained and mentored. Each time the new girl helped, with the purchase and taking my call about pickup, a coworker was assisting her but apparently wasn't guiding her. I definitely won't be shopping here again. I gotta say, I've never been a fan of INspiration. I've always thought the furniture is a bit too modern/trendy and priced about 3 times what it should be. Yet, the wife has always been a fan so any time we are looking for furniture, we always end up here. We were looking for a bed (frame and mattress). We only found one that looked decent. I believe the price was about $600. But damn if it didn't seem of poor quality and flimsy. I had my wife lean on the side rails and watched as it bent in. It was essentially a thin piece of fabric wrapped around a flimsy piece of wood. Probably cost about $100 to make so I couldn't bring myself to make the purchase. They did have a Beautyrest mattress that I liked but it was $2200 for a King. A bit too much for me. The rating is based on the selection, quality, and price. I will give them credit though as we liked the sale reps who assisted us. She made herself available to answer questions but wasn't overly pushy and gave us our space. read more

Came looking for a sofa bed and got a great deal on one! Sales Rep was pleasant, courteous, helpful and gave good sofa bed tips. Sale price was really good! Delivery and assembly seems a tad high but it worked out since the sale price was low. Total was still less than some others I looked at. Had to have the pieces delivered then assembled in the room the sofa bed was going to be in because of the size. Got a call ahead of time to confirm delivery date, time, and when asked to confirm the bed was to be assembled before delivery, had to correct this but wasn't a problem since I was asked and it was easy to correct. Bed arrived at the start of the time frame I was given so that was great! Guys said it may take them awhile to assemble because it is usually done at the warehouse but they were quick! Had a problem with one screw, and they had to have specialists come to fix it on another day but that was quick to schedule (they came just a few days later.) Guys even showed me what to disassemble when I need to take the bed out of the room. I would purchase from Inspiration Kapolei again! My wife an I love Inspiration. Seriously, people need to let go of the perception that this store is expensive. Maybe if you buy the fancy Italian stuff, but we're smart shoppers and look for great sales. Also, the competing furniture stores have prices in the same range if not higher and Inspiration simply fits our taste more than the other stores. Anyway, although we live close on the town store, we always make sure to check out the Kapolei sites as well. They have items on display that Kapiolani doesn't have. After months of living without a dining room table (sad, I know) we decided to try to find something today. We had just been at Target next door and found a cute mid century modern table on sale for $399. They only had the display so we were contemplating ordering it online. Thankfully we decided to stop at Inspiration just to look. I had been in here a few times and knew that most of their furniture was out of the range we wanted to spend, but I love their stuff. I noticed this beautiful bamboo dining table marked at $1299 with a sale sign for $199. I figured this must be some sort of mistake so I pointed it out to a salesperson who verified that it was not a mistake and the table was indeed $199. We got a much nicer table for half the price of the one we were planning on buying. I'm so glad we decided to stop in here today! I personally like this location more than the one in town. The show room is literally one big room. I feel like if I was looking for something other than Couches or dining sets this is not the furniture store for you. We came because they had a sale and at least the people working there didn't scold us when my daughter was running around everywhere. They even gave her a balloon! We ended up buying a couch from them and they had a spin wheel maybe just for this weekend? With extra discounts on top of our already sale purchase. We got $25 off. Also delivery is $125 but it's the same price whether you buy one piece of furniture or five. read more

It was uncomfortable because she followed every turn we made as well as every time we stopped to look at an item. She made a point to fix a table we were looking at because we slightly moved it. She wasn't helpful and had a snobby attitude. Never judge a book by its cover. I could afford that entire store. I kindly said we didn't need help and we were just looking. First time visiting this store. We were greeted right upon arriving. Store is big and set up is really nice! We been shopping around for a bedroom set. INspiration only does ala carte style, but prices were about the same as other furniture places. Purchased a Queen Bed frame and the matching 6- drawer for $1000. We saved about $400. I had to rate only 3 stars because of the customer service. An employee approached us as we were checking out some furniture. She was kind enough to check inventory for us and prices. My husband and I wanted to discuss privately ($1000 is a lot of money.) We told the lady we would like to think about it and she instantly became mean. We asked if we could call to order and she told us no! We asked if they had a website we could look at and she said "yes but you can not order from there, you have to do it here!" Her tone of voice was not the same when she first greeted us. Aside from the attitude, she walked away from us right after saying her "peace." We were asking those questions because we didn't want to make her feel like her time was wasted. My husband and I are 28 years old. Our appearance may look like we don't have the funds but my husband is an electrician and I have two jobs!! We felt so disrespected. If I could give ZERO STARS I absolutely would. We walked into Inspirations today looking for a new bed for our daughter. The showroom was really nice but it's so big we didnt' know which way to go. We eventually found the beds, but they didn't have many frames to choose from. But the reason I'm giving only one star is because NO ONE helped us. We walked pass one possibly salesperson but he was talking to his girlfriend (?) who was sitting on the couch. Then we saw two men who appeared to be stock or warehouse disassembling a bed. My experience went from having great customer service to having the employee asking me and my guy friend if we were a couple too trying to get our personal information to asking to add us on social media. Even when me and my friend repeatedly told the employee no we are here just to buy furniture the employee still pushed the issue. Me and my friend couldn't handle it that we ended up leaving and went to Ashley furniture down the road and bought furniture there. While doing some serious furniture shopping, we decided to stop into Inspiration Kapolei to see what they had(of course with no high hopes we would find something). While walking around, we saw things that we liked, but wanted more information on them, which led us to THE salesman to ask for if you ever go there, DEMICO R.! He literally helped us out so much. He wasn't bothersome, he gave us our space to shop around yet checked on us at the very right moments. We literally asked him about three or four different sectionals & he did not make us feel like a nuisance at all. He was very patient with us & actually listened to what we were looking for & our budget. We actually ended up finding our perfect sofa that day, on sale. But with the sale ending that day & us being gifted with the furniture(so we weren't going to get it at that very moment), we wouldn't be able to get it at the sale price when we came back to buy it. Demico seriously went above & beyond for us! Knowing what we had been through furniture shopping & how much we wanted this sofa, he was going back & forth with us & his boss & actually worked it out where we could lock in the price for when we came back some days after. Even the day that we went to pay for it, we still had many questions to ask & he was able to give us the info we wanted & more. Honestly we were pretty difficult, never purposely, I promise.
