We needed new insulation for our crawlspace and updated insulation in our attic as recommended by a home inspector/structural engineer. We're glad we did because it feels less drafty in our home and the southwest corner of our house no longer bakes in the afternoon. My husband was very pleased when working with Ruben. The work was a two day process from cleaning out the existing insulation from the attic and adjusting the ductwork, to sanitizing and air sealing all the cracks inside and outside, and filling with R-49 insulation. From the entrance of the house to the attic access, they spent the time putting down a barrier to prevent any mess to the rest of the house. Beyond easy experience with Chris. My dryer suddenly started giving off a burning smell, which I…read moremistakenly attributed to the lint catch being overloaded. But even after cleaning it out, the smell wasn't going away. Then the vent started giving off either smoke or steam, and in a panic I immediately turned off the dryer. Thank God I didn't start a dryer fire. The second I shut it off and made sure everything was ok, I opened Yelp and searched for a dryer vent cleaner. Chris's Insulation came up, he had great ratings, he was super close by, so after calling a different service and going to voicemail, I called Chris. Chris picked up after the second ring. When I told him that I needed someone to clean our dryer vent and what had happened, he said he could come out either between 5:00 and 6:00 pm that evening or the next day. It was already mid-afternoon when I called, so I was surprised to hear him say he could still come out same-day, but I decided to have him do that since I was free and also still a little shaky following what happened with the vent either smoking or steaming. Chris showed up during the window he quoted and wasted no time getting to work. He started the second he arrived and was done within the hour. His pricing was incredibly reasonable and fair and so far, in the couple of weeks since he was here, we've had no issues with the dryer.
