EPIC Failure................................................ This company sold our customer a specialty lock for their community of which they are the only locksmith who can provide service for this particular lock. We were asked to contact them on behalf of our customer whom previously had a bad experience with them. After calling their office we were provided a written price by email to replace the lock and have it re-keyed to match the existing keys. In addition we were informed what the process for going about getting this taken care was. Unfortunately after nearly 3 weeks, several missed or rescheduled appointments a technician was dispatched to our offices. He then proceeded to give a new price of more then double the originally quoted cost. Upon insisting they honor the written price he said he would send me an updated estimate and take up the price discrepancy with management. However that did not happen, he just got into his van and left. To say that this company is the worst I have ever encountered, both in regards to the customer service, professionalism and business ethics does not even begin to describe them. read more

I searched around the internet for a locksmith that programmed automotive key fobs. After calling several possibilities, most of which do not have a storefront location, I decided to go to ABC Locksmith since they have been in business a long time - AND have a business storefront nearby on Sunset. I didn't even call in advance and thought it might be a hassle with a long wait. WOW - Was I wrong. Isreal was on duty and quickly demonstrated a competent and friendly demeanor. He explained the pricing and the slight possibility that the fob pairing might not be successful (I purchased 2 aftermarket devices on Amazon). He then proceeded to program each device to my car. In less than 10 minutes from my arrival, both new fobs were paired and working great. Thank you to Isreal for really exceeding my expectations. I scheduled an appointment for between noon and 2pm and received a call from the locksmith requesting pictures of the fire cabinet. He call right back after reviewing the pictures and said" if I come out it will be a service fee in excess of a $100.00. However if I take the picture of the lock to the shop the charge would be between $25.00 and $65.00." I went to the shop met Israel who promptly made me 3 keys with a charge of $35.00. I told him I received the referral from our nephew, Scott Jones who is a realtor with the Nitro group. So I had a flat tire Monday and I called AAA this is the company that they sent out the service tech that came to help me was not too friendly, he acted like he was a little annoyed about having to crawl under the van to get the spare donut, when he did manage to get it down he put a little air in it came over put it on the car tightened it down and had me sign a paper and got back in his car not much of a personality I thanked him and when I got into the car to leave it was making a horrible grinding noise I stopped immediately got back out of my car asked him if he could come and look at it because it didn't sound like something was right he reluctantly got out of his truck walked over looked at it kicked the tire said it was fine I said well it's not fine it's making a horrible noise can you just get in it and move it forward and backwards so you can hear what it's doing he did&put the car back in park got out and told me I don't know what it is and there's nothing else I can do for you unless you want a tow truck. I told him I didn't want to tow truck and he said that there is a Big o tire about a mile and a half up the road so I took a chance and drove it up to Big o and bought a new tire and upon the service tech at Big o taking off my lug nuts they just started snapping off the lug bolts they came in and told me that whoever put the donut on the car cross threaded my lug bolts and that's most likely the reason for the loud noise in the wheel area that had the tire changed and said I was lucky to have made it there without my wheel falling off so $400 later I had to replace not only the tire but all five lug nuts so I'm not too impressed with the service from ABC locksmith in towing read more

The worst customer service. I called in need of a vehicle lock actuator replaced, the vehicle door would not lock. I explained the issue in detail, because I have had this issue repaired in another vehicle. I was assured by the service person this was no problem. The tech would be out between 2pm and 5pm. They never showed up. After 5pm they called and said they could schedule it first thing the following day. The following day, I stayed home till the tech showed up and said, sorry we don't do that. Before they gave a quote, they asked me how the locks looked like, if I could email them a picture of the locks, and how quickly I needed the service. This was a AAA service call. My key somehow got de-programmed for my vehicle, and I had to call for service. Dale was the technician who came out to reprogram the key. He was impatient and rude, and stated that he was "about to leave" because he couldn't find the place where the car was located despite explicit instructions. My membership covered $150 worth of locksmith services. ABC invoice me for $125, yet they still charged me $25 out of pocket. This makes no sense whatsoever. Upon calling "customer service," I spoke with a Jasmine, and extremely unprofessional representative who slurred her speech and used words like "gonna" and "uh-huh" instead of speaking to me in a professional manner. She got loud and bellicose and argumentative. I would NEVER use this service again, and AAA should think better about utilizing them as an authorized representative. read more

Quick response, friendly service and reasonable rates for those trying to rekey their home without delay. Had my home broken into recently and the thieves took some keys. Called one locksmith the next morning and they wanted to charge 1.5x the amount ($145) because it was a bank and federal holiday for some government workers. I told the first company it wasnt a holiday for most of us in the Valley. I called another company and they said they could do something 4 hours from when i placed the call. Apparently, people are losing keys all over Vegas. I decided to call ABC Locksmiths instead. Thankfully ABC didnt feel the need to gouge me and charged me the standard rate of $63 service call+ $22 for each cylinder and $2.50 per additional key. They showed up within 45 mins which was a lot quicker than the time frame of other companies and changed all locks out quickly. Price was reasonable considering the other option of buying a whole new lock set and installing them on each door which would have take hours. This took 30 mins max. We have been going here for years for all the vehicles in our fleet as well as any home key needs. Israel, the manager, obviously is having trouble with help. Went there today with a warranty problem and the technician on duty was rude, had no idea what he was doing, and literally threw my keys on the table and told me he couldn't help me. After having some idiot thief try and pry open my back door at my business, I needed a new door handle. I have the special locks with the laser engraved keys so I brought the broken handle with me to see if the tumbler could be saved. Robert was right on top of it and after a half hour and hard work was still not able to save the tumbler. He tried hard and I appreciated his effort so I wanted to give a shout out to him. The other guy and woman there were very nice as well. I bought a new door handle and they didn't even charge me for the work Robert did. Complete GARBAGE company. They took my service call & gave me a 90 minute window when they would be to me. After waiting an hour Cody called to tell me he couldn't talk any techs into staying for my service call(4:45pm not late) & that I needed to call another locksmith because they wouldn't help me. He called after waiting an hour at 5:50pm to let me know that so they left my two infants & myself standing outside in the freezing cold for 5 hours because of their crappy business ethics! When I said I wanted to speak to the manger when he canceled he said there was magically no manager. I called back today to speak to the manager & she just wanted to argue saying they were in the right. I wouldn't even be mad if they told me at 4:45pm when I called that they couldn't do it but they left me waiting an hour to call & cancel after everyone else was closed & it was after hours for everyone else so it took 5 hours standing out in the cold to get help because of you guys! NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE YOU OR RECOMMEND ANYONE TO YOU! After seeing you guys do this to me then wanting to argue about how you're right after, I'm completely appalled!!! This is my go to place when I need to get keys made. I prefer to come here when I need to get keys made over going to Walmart. They recently moved to a smaller suite right next door to heir old location. So today I needed tree keys made and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The only negative about today visit is they guy tells me I can't pay with a 20. He says that getting 20 ruins his drawer for the whole day. This is at 11:51 am. So my advice to you is to take a stack of 1 dollar bills. read more

The HOA in the building had misplaced the key to the unit I live in and apparently someone has it but don't know who. I have just found out that ABC is the most unreliable and unprofessional locksmith in the valley. They have scheduled to change the doors locks between 5-7pm. I waited at home at 4:15pm. It is currently 12:45am and they're still not here. I contacted them at 7pm and was told that they have 2 calls ahead of me. I had to call them again at 8:30pm and asked them to keep me posted and even asked if they can contact their "1" person locksmith to give me an eta. It was like pulling teeth. I don't rate any companies on Yelp. But I thought this would be that time. By the way, I am unable to use any other locksmith because the building I live in is contracted with them. Update: 1:15am. Bought a new home and needed to change out some locks and had some locked rekeyed. The issue though, was that I was not in the state, but still needed the work done. My realtor setup an appointment with these people, and I was in a bind because I needed the work done. If doing so again, I don't think I would call these people. The service was quick, and the installation decent... But the prices were RIDICULOUS! First of all, they charged $89 for a service call just to show up! It wasn't even an emergency call either. This seems to be a pure and simply gravy charge. They charged another $75ea to install two locks that I supplied (easy). Key duplicates (6 total) ran me about $20 each (this only costs a few buck at Home Depot or Lowes). Installation of 3 dead bolt locks... Another $75ea, (though in all fairness these were supplied by ABC). In total by entire bill was about $600. The kicker? He only spent 44 minutes doing all the work. So, probably about $100 in vendor supplied material, $500 in labor for 44 minutes of work. For a locksmith, this is VERY expensive and quite extreme for most trades. I think I made his day/week. I have used other professional locksmiths in the past and this probably would have cost me less than half what ABC Locksmith charges. Needless to say I don't think I will use them again, simply because of the prices. read more

I had a broken front door lock and handle from a tenant and had to replace asap. this company charged me 2 times the amount for a door handle/lock and the 1/2 that to install it! they really took advantage of me being I had no front door access and could not use garage door or exit sliders to go get estimate on the lock set. read more

Was told on the phone that the wait would be 30 to 40 minutes. They finally arrived at my house about 30 minutes later. I was charged $95 for 10 minutes of work while the guy picked the lock on my door so that I could regain entry to my house after locking my keys inside. I locked myself out of my car four years ago, and these guys came to the rescue with great customer service. This past weekend it happened again, and I knew exactly who to call... and lo and behold, the service was even better. First off, a human being answered my call promptly and immediately began helping me - no automated machine or long wait. Next, the courteous and professional gentleman on the phone gave clear instructions on what info they required and what I needed to do on my end to get things resolved. They gave me a 2-hour window on when they would arrive, and then called me 15 minutes prior to arriving (on time) to tell me they would be there soon (again, on time). Their assigned customer service specialist Joel met me in the parking lot of a casino in an area not too easy to find, got to work right away and resolved the issue in ~10 minutes. Best of all, Joel was cordial, knowledgeable, professional and provided quick solutions as well as some great advice on how to avoid the situation in the future. No one ever wants to be in a situation like this, but this company is one of the best in the business and alleviated all my frustrations. Kudos to ABC and I highly recommend them to all my friends in Vegas who are unlucky enough to be locked out of their car or home. read more

The person cutting my key failed to use care and damaged my key while he was sanding it. He didn't acknowledge the fact that it was his fault and said I brought it in like that. I bought this key brand new OEM online, arrived the day before. You can tell by the contour and location of the scrap that it's caused by a machine. Not by me damaging it myself somehow. Finally getting around to doing this review. We had to use their services for an eviction we were doing. Their prices beat everyone else's we called. They were prompt to message me back. I contacted them through Yelp. They called several times before the date and time of the eviction. They called to verify the appointment once it was set, the day before, the day of and also the tech called me when he arrived. Considering timeliness is important during an eviction, I appreciated the fact that he was there well before the scheduled time. The guy was quick, friendly and professional. I was so happy with their service; we defiantly found our new go to locksmiths. They also called back for some customer feedback, but I missed their call.
