I've been taking my cars here for over ten years. I just went in yesterday and I got in right away. I've never made an appointment; I just drive by to see if there are any cars waiting. Aram is very pleasant, and we do like to talk a lot about cars and bikes. He is very helpful, and I go in every year for one of the cars to get tested. Made an appointment but when I got there the business was close. The shop next door said he left to get lunch. Why would you leave shop when you have a customer coming in with an appointment? Unprofessional. I called him and he said he will be back in an hour, no apologies for not being there when he should be. I'm not waiting for unprofessional business. I googled smog test and found another shop (Quicky Smog in Glendora); called them and asked if they require appointment and the guy politely said I can just come. I went and my car got tested within 10 minutes after I arrived; so in and out in 15-20 minutes in a professional, polite and clean environment. I use to bring all of my vehicles here to smog them. Had great service and never any issues. I am not sure if it has changed ownership but the last 3 times I stopped by I have had problems. 2 times the computer wouldn't connect. They gave me a coupon so I could try again later. The last time I stopped by they said the machine was fine... it was a rainy day and no one in line but I stood there waiting while the operator was more interested in his phone. Don't trust this place. We took our truck for a smog test and he indicated it needed a repair completed to pass. Had the repair done and took back to get passed and he said didn't pass there was a code, but didn't know what the code meant. He should know what the codes mean. Took the truck to another smog shop and passed with no problem. Had to pay again for a smog test because this place didn't know what they were doing. read more

What a great experience! Hubby always did the car work, so this was my first time in a long time doing anything for the car. We needed a smog check to transfer our car from WA to CA. Hubby told me to come here. The guy working here, Autumn (I don't know if that's how he spells it, but what a beautiful name), was extremely friendly and very easy and fun to talk to. When I pulled up, he was helping a couple ahead of me, but greeted me with a big smile like I was a friend. The couple's car didn't pass, and he kindly and informatively explained what the possible issues could be, and told them what they could try to do to fix it before bringing it back. As my smog check finished, I asked if any of his neighbors did oil changes because I knew we were due for one. He actually checked my oil to make sure I wasn't unnecessarily changing it, and when he saw that it was so dirty, he showed me how to check oil, what to look for, and compared it to fresh oil so I could see the difference. So helpful! He referred me to his neighbor, Bob. I'm actually sitting at Bob's Auto Repair as I write this review. I highly recommend this place for a smog check, and will definitely come again. read more

I needed a star location so I went to ABC Smog Test only in La Verne. Aram was busy with other customers but acknowledged me. This is important to me because I don't like being ignored, especially when I'm a customer. Aram was so effecient with the other customers and explained the work he did on their vehicles and seemed to know what he was talking about when he made recommendations about the service they may need for their vehicles. When he serviced my jeep, he noticed the tires weren't wearing evenly and gave me a lesson on how to watch out for this uneven wear and suggested I have my alignment checked. (Aram never referred me to anyone, which validated he wasn't in this to help a fellow business friend.) I was in and out within 30 minutes! Suggestion: Do not pull in your vehicle in his garage. Park your vehicle in a stall, then walk in to the office to get set up. read more

In-and-out in less than 20 minutes. Fortunately my Prius didn't even need to go up on the rollers, just a quick computer scan and I was on my way. This is a fast, efficient place to have your car smogged. I would give it five stars, but the kid who did the smogging felt it necessary to move my driver's seat down, away and tilted back to drive it ten feet. It took touching three separate levers to make that happen. He could have easily fit in the car the way I had the seat positioned. It's a minor annoyance for me to put it right again, but a show of unprofessionalism on their end. Otherwise, good experience. read more

Tried to rip me off today...pued in with a 1993 class b motorhome....basically a Chevy 20 series can small v8 and small 20' camper ...it passed smog 6 months ago but I needed it redone since I never got the chance to register it and smog only good for 90 days... ..he wanted $100 ...same test as anything else .may be he thought I was stupid with an easy coast accent ..and when asked why so much and explained I've been paying for years at another location he just walked away from me ..I drove 5 min down the road and got it done for 58 at ND smog...real nice people !..Cal needs to regulate what's they can max charge . read more
