I had a smog check done there a while ago, but now I will for sure go back. The owner was a very knowledgeable and nice guy. I think he has done this type of work over in the UK as well. I would recommend for all the college kids around. I moved over to this neck of the woods not that long ago, so it is always nice to find someone who is professional to do work with. I got charged $56 for the guy to tell me there's nothing he can do. He suspected an exhaust leak and then he ran my card. After charging my card he told me there's nothing he can do. What a joke! If he knew he wouldn't be able to run the test on my vehicle if it had a leak why did he charge me?? Bunch of con artists, stay away from this place. read more

Horrible, horrible service. Guy was a total A-hole. My car didn't pass initially, so he told me to run some errands around town and come back. I did as he said, didn't turn the car off the whole time. When I got back he put my car on the rack and gave me attitude about driving it so little. He said "it's not even gonna pass, a waste of my time." Then after it failed, he said "Take it to your mechanic, if you need a new car, then get a new car." Total jerk the whole time, would highly recommend you go to any other smog test area!!!! read more

Absolute worst place for you to go. Called to schedule to get the smog and Adam said bring the car on Saturday because it may not pass if you come on Monday and I told him thats odd and is a problem that not mines since I'm the customer. Brought my car and another man did the smog and it failed so already had a bad feeling about this place so I had my father speak to Aram and he said my car is fine so I brought my car in today and then he switched up and said the car will fail because of my distributior screws being loose and I told him that has nothing to do with the car passing smog so I put him on the phone with my dad and he argued with my father which was unprofessional as a business man you never argue with the customer you're supposed to pacify them and go out your way to help them. I'm more than unhappy with the way I was treated. This owner is wierd I don't know if he has some type of prejudice feelings towards Certain types of ethnic people. Seems to me he don't know what he's doing and therefore should not being a trusted place especially if you are avoiding being swindled my intuition is always right and I knew this man was a dishonest person and not to take any advice from him read more

I went to ABC Smog this past week for a smog check because I found an online coupon. It was my first time visiting the business. I found the owner Aram Balian to be professional, knowledgeable, quick, and friendly. He answered any questions I had and seemed very experienced with California laws pertaining to smog checks. He was also helpful regarding other issues with my vehicle. I highly recommend his services. This guy might be OK if you have no problems but watch out if there are any issues. My car had a check engine light come on that I was sure was only a glitch in the light and not an engine problem. This guy asked if I knew the light was on and I said yes but thought it was just the light. He said OK and ran the test and the car failed. When I told my mechanic about it he told me that test should not have been run because anytime the check engine light comes on it will be an automatic fail and the smog test guy knew that and should have told me to take it to my mechanic first. I told my mechanic who I took it to and he said he had seen similar problems with this guy before. I now take my cars to a place that gives a free car wash so at least I get someting out of the process. Bottom line: Not trustworthty if you have nay issues and you can beat his prices if you don't. read more

I was told from another business that I should go to this shop and on the recommendation I did, this was a big mistake. I will never recommend this station to anyone and infact if I am ever asked (even if I am not asked) I will freely let anyone know that they should NEVER go to A.B.C. Smog & Test Only in LaVerne. I can't speak for any other stations that they may have, but this one I can. The guy that did the test was rude and condescending and even proceeded to to say that my mechanic did a poor job on my car. The check engine light was on and this has never stopped my car from passing tests before. I have gone to four other locations in the past and all have passed me, one even when the car was running rough. The guy proceeded to say that I need to go get the car fixed, drive 50 miles, then come back and get it tested again, oh and he still charged me $44 FOR NOTHING. It took him 10 minutes and they still make $44, I truly felt robbed. I proceeded to drive to another location in Azusa and I passed, now does that make sense? If you need a smog pass this place up, don't even look at it, go elsewhere. read more
