Thank god for ABC. Anything we needed, we found at this store. We had gone on a hiking tour, and the bugs just attacked my wife. Since we stayed at the Sheraton, we had a quick walk to Whalers Village to pick up a few things. After many trips to this store, be sure to save the receipts and tally the total spent cause you can get a free gift. Why not when you are spending so much for everyday items and souvenirs. Only bad thing, overpriced items. If only the Walmart wasn't so far from our hotel we would have stopped by there to load up on essentials. read more

Great place to get souvenirs and basic essentials you may have forgotten at home. Reasonable prices.

This is a small ABC store. It's right down the street from the house we are staying at, so we have visited a few times already this week. We picked up both souvenir items and creamer (you HAVE to have your coffee after all!). They are very friendly here, and when I showed up at 6:55am this morning for creamer, they opened the doors for me (they open at 7) and greeted me like I was their number one customer. It goes to show, even with a small store, customer service can go a long way! read more

Everything is overpriced. And it's always crowded, but meanwhile the stores shelving are just packed so close. I'm afraid to even turn wrong and break something. The staff is usually quick when they see the line is getting too long. read more

I can't tell you how many ABC stores I ended up visiting on my trip to Maui. They always have what I need and what better place for souvenirs at a reasonable price. This store is on the larger side but still cramped with all their filled shelves. read more

This is your basic, everyday Hawaiian general store. The staff is friendly and helpful and there are loads of souvenirs for sale that are made in China. I prefer to buy locally made things to take home, but this place is great for bargains. It is also a great place to buy cut fruit such as mangos or pineapple and whole fruit such as bananas or apples for great prices. Food in Lahaina is outrageous so it was nice to have this option available for breakfast fruit and some crackers. They also validate parking. The ABC store in Wailea is much bigger. read more

Went to the one in the Pi'Ikea Mall in Kihei, selection was very good for a smaller store. Organization of products to the friendliness of the staff were definitely great at this location, plus Safeway store was in this strip as well. read more

Got a cheap pair of flip flops. This location is good for limited items like booze, soft drinks, milk and some snacks. They also have some basic touristy stuff like beach towels, fake leis, cheap jewelry and trinkets. It is a quick close place to pick up things if you don't have a car and are staying on the beach somewhere here like the Whaler. It is not cheap by most standards, but for the Whaler village it is affordable by comparison. read more

They have everything here! Glad to have such a convenient store nearby! Great selection of meats and cheeses for hotel snackery! Lots of drinks including hard alcohol. Then everything you need to find great souvenirs! Our parking should have been $12, but they validated it and we paid $0! Also, gave us a free coffee mug for purchasing there! You actually got to pick a gift from a selection that included coffee mugs, calendar or tote bag. read more

OK...so ABC Stores are the stuff of legends on Hawaii and, of course, we had to go to several during our recent Maui vacation. I remember them from our last trip to Hawaii almost 27 years ago and they have really come up in appearance and offerings. They have a little bit of everything you might want or need, especially chocolate covered macadamia nuts. We bought several boxes to bring back for friends and family as well as gifts for grandson. They really are everywhere and my wife ended up buying a large carry on bag to tote the other items we bought at the stores. You can find cheaper souvenirs at this store than you would at Hilo Hattie. Save your receipts...if you spend $100, you then get a coupon for 10%. This is sort of a convenience store, with souvenirs. I needed laundry detergent and it was sold in individual containers...a big plus since I didn't have to buy the whole gallon. Negative were the prices. It's cheaper than Hilo Hattie, but not the cheapest. Before stopping here, though, check out Long's drugstore first...the selection isn't as great, but it's much cheaper!! read more

Good location for last minute gifts or snacks at Whalers. Tucked in a back corner so you have to look for it a bit. Decent prices for useless stuff you still feel the need to buy cuz you are on vacation. Trust me - it is NOT cheaper at the airport. Same stuff marked up 30-50%. Might do better at some stores in Lahaina but do yourself a favor, bite the bullet and just buy the stuff you "need" and some extras to avoid the stuff you'll forget later. read more
