So easy to book online, my primary care Dr can send in approvals, and the staff are so easy to work with, especially Patrick the pharmacist. I've had a number of staff administer the vaccines and they are all great, quick and painless, and I am so relieved that I am able to get vaccines free with HMSA. Vaccines are a contentious issue in the current clime, however I am thankful that I can access preventative healthcare to keep me healthy with so many respiratory viruses going around. It's a Walgreens right? You know Walgreens. This spot is pretty centrally located right in Lahaina (corner of Honoapiilani and Keawe). Parking lot is sufficient which is t always the case on this side of the island. Had a accident while paddle boarding last week and needed some medical supplies after getting stitched up. Was able to get everything I needed to stay bandaged up the rest of the trip. Also got some chocolate to make myself feel better! It's a big, corporate store so can't give 5 stars since I prefer to shop local but I knew they'd have what I needed. Staff was helpful and professional. Stopped in earlier in the week to restock on sunscreen. One of my family members requested a specific brand that I had trouble locating. A friendly employee saw me walking around aimlessly and quickly directed me to the product I was looking for. So great being able to order and pay online. They'll bring your items to your car or you can go in and pick them up. Times grocery didn't have cases of water and what they did have was expensive. Walgreens had cases and much cheaper. Also have sunscreen and all those little things you may need. Mahalo for making things fast and easy. read more

When I walk into any Walgreens its feels like home it doesn't matter where I am. This one is easy access from Hyw 31 or Honoapiilani. Easy in and out. Products arranged the way I know so well. Aisles are clean and wide. Tons of easy parking. Sits right across from a theater if you're interested. Friendly helpful staff. Btw- they do offer 24hr photo developing if you're still in that era. #2 Btw- There is a unique feature here at this Walgreens. They have an espresso machine that delivers really good coffee. I have always had a pleasant experience at this store. The staff is friendly and helpful, the store is clean and well organized, and the pharmacy is wonderfully convenient. Don't frequent this Walgreens often so while in the neighborhood I have some time to kill. Parking lot is big in size. Probably because all other establishments in the center. The store is big as well but Not too overwhelming (that's why she said)and easy to navigate around. The makeup section is bigger than the one I usually go to. They also have festive makeup's out already Woohoo!! Ended up finding some lavender soap. They also sell a few more grocery items; the kind you can find online, so that's great. Some decent cereal selections; honey bunch of oats and the like.Also a whole aisle of souvenirs for the tourist. I didn't find a clearance section but Think that's only online. Made me park to the side, served everyone behind me, then closed the drive thru and I had to knock on the window. She was SO RUDE. Horrible. Avoid this pharmacy. It's... wait for it... a drug store. In Hawaii. If you don't live in Hawaii, it is just like your Walgreens back home, except they sell more beach towels and beach mats, and probably POG. We popped in for some bath products and sunscreen because it is easier to buy them here on vacation than to bring them from home, since they are about the same price as Walgreens back on the mainland. We went to Walgreens to grab some some items that we needed for our condo... since we were getting a pedicure across the street it was convenient for us to stop by. The store itself is VERY clean and well kept. The staff is SO friendly! Each employee I came across smiled at me, greeted me, and asked me if I needed anything. Checkout was fast and easy. The cashier had me sign up for a Walgreens card so I could get a discount on some of the items I was purchasing. I didn't mind since we have a Walgreens on Oahu that I visit sometimes. Took over 45 minutes to get a simple antibiotic filled, even though the doctor E-Prescribed it and sent it to Walgreens, they choose not to start working on the Rx until you arrive and pay for it first....that's crap and poor healthcare service. That's one of the many benefits of electronic prescriptions, the pharmacy can get started on filling before you arrive. Guess that 21st century trend hasn't caught on yet at Walgreens! Pharmacy is terrible. Employees have a "I don't care" attitude. The only reason I'm writing this review is I have a bad experience literally EVERY SINGLE TIME I GO IN THERE. The store itself has a small selection of overpriced items. You can find anything there way cheaper at Longs across the street. The pharmacy is stocked with inconsiderate slow employees who really don't give a sh#* about you. I recently had surgery and was forced to go through this pharmacy for meds. I had too many bad experiences to count- lost prescriptions, long waiting times, rude employees, wrong meds, etc. Do yourself a favor and go to Longs across the street. Over priced for a non-tourist located drug store. I bought the least expensive bourbon and ABC had it for 25.6% less. Same size and all. I don't recommend this Walgreens location at all. I had a same day delivery scheduled and they moved it to tomorrow. I called to cancel the order because I needed it same day. I understand that, but the sales associate on the phone was very rude. She would barely let me speak. I tried asking questions and she would cut me off and finally she just said 'thank you' and hung up on me. I was told it would take 3 days for a refund. You have to watch the prices they ring things up for. We have caught mistakes many times. They always blame the computer in the register. Then they have to get approval to correct the price. The guy sarcastically said yeah well they don't know about the 5 canvas' I have to do & all the other pictures so it's not going to be ready til this afternoon! He could have just said ma'am the computer doesn't calculate all that I have to print, it won't be done til later than 12:25 if you would like to come back this afternoon. I injured my knee and needed to get a cane or walker. I did not know how I was even going to get into the store so I called and asked for the manager. MJ got on the phone and told me to park in the handicap area and she would leave a shopping cart there for me. It made it so easy when I got there. When II got into the store MJ immediately took me to the isle to find a cane. She helped me go through every one to choose the right one for me. I had a bad experience w/ the photo center.I ordered some pictures on the phone a few times, but every time I went in to pick them up NO ONE was ever there to help me. I Asked the cashier if I could get some help and I waited a little over 5 minutes for the other person to come. The other person was out getting the wagons from outside. She came back in and the cashier informed her that help was needed in photo but the other girl still went back outside to continue getting the wagons instead of coming over to the photo center to help.I'm not sure if they thought I wasn't paying attention, but I watched the whole thing.Also I got a recommendation to make a photo banner in store. So I went into store to make a banner and at this time it was about 7:30-8:00.Not sure what the guys name was that helped me, but he was stocking shelves near the photo center. I sat at the kiosk and I asked him for an iPhone plug to upload the picture I needed to make the banner. I then asked the question to the guy how big is the 1x3? & he kind of gave me a face like what kind of question is that? I know kind of a dumb question, but I wouldn't know I never made a banner before! anyway I went ahead and made my banner in store. Did not finish until about 8:30 almost. So I pretty much sat in store for a whole hour to do this banner waiting for my pictures to upload. It said on screen that banner will be ready OCT 1st. I asked the guy who was still stocking shelves If the banner would be finished earlier or is that a guaranteed date when it will be ready because I needed the banner on Sept 27.He told me something about them just having a guaranteed date, but to just come back tomorrow and that it should be ready.I called the store 2 days later hoping the banner would be done already since I didn't go the next day.One of the women told me that she was looking on her computer under "orders received" and she did not see anything w/ my name. So I asked to speak w/ the manager and she was saying the same thing. I basically told her that I sat in store to do that banner and you mean to tell me you didn't receive it? So I went in store AGAIN around 7:45 PM and re-did the banner.Keep in mind I have 3 kids and they sat in the car w/ their dad while I was doing so and they were ready to go to bed. So When I went back into the store to do my banner I spoke with the cashier if the manager was available and someone else came not the manager. I do not know the girls name, but she was RUDE.She came over to photo so I asked if she was the manager and she told me no and i was telling her about the situation so she said hold on and she stepped away to go get the manager and when she did so she kind of bumped me on the shoulder and she didn't even turn around to apologize. And that wasn't the first time shes done so. Like I said I do not know her name, but if I See her face I can tell you who. So the girl comes back 2-3 minutes later saying the manager is in the back counting the money....I'm kind of thinking well tel her to come and she ends up calling the manager on the phone from photo center and the manager says i'm sorry ma'am i cannot leave i'm counting the money.WHAT she should've done was put her money up and come talk to me! Customers come first !! So I asked her if I make a banner are you going to have it done tonight and she says she will try, but my kids were in the car so i told her I would just come back tomorrow... So I call the next day instead wasting my time again going in store. pretty much got the run around because no one was picking up the phone in photo so I finally got over it and called the pharmacy and I told them no one is answering photo and she says ok hold on one moment. I told her okay. So i'm on hold for about 3-4 minutes and she comes back on the phone. "Aloha how may i help you" I said i'm still on hold. and she says "oh one moment" so I'm on hold again for another 3-4 minutes and she comes back on the phone again so i asked to speak to a manager....and finally I Speak w/ the manager and she tells me again that she doesn't see anything under my name. So she asked me what size did I get and I tell her the 1x3. She then tells me "oh ma'am we don't do that size in store.So at this point i'm already mad!Why didn't one of the workers tell me so?! I even asked one of the guys how big the 1x3 was!He should've said something then..And she tells me "well it says it everywhere that we do not do that size in store." I told her NO IT DOES NOT !! AND IF YOU do not do that size in store then why would the kiosk complete my sale?! or it should've said something when I click on that size since I WAS IN STORE DOING THE BANNER! So again i'm super mad at this point So I tell her if I come in tonight will you have my banner done TONIGHT?!When I hang up the phone I'm over it already.I had other things to do.I was not gonna stress it anymore. Got a sinus infection half-way into our vacation. I called the closest pharmacy which was Walgreen's in Lahaina to see if they would accept a phone in from my doctor at home. Bill, the pharmacist, was so nice! He said no worries. The next day, about twenty minutes after my doctor phoned in the order, Bill called me to let me know it was ready! Talk about the Aloha spirit!
