My mom and I went to this place growing up and she absolutely loves how amazing this place is. I came in here today and I saw that this place has a lot of of interesting stuff. This place has some pretty cool things such as gift boxes with desserts that you could give to your teachers. There are even mango sticky rice desserts that you could use to put into the microwave. One of the cashiers was able to confirm to me which one was cornstarch when my mom needed it. It was amazing and I loved the honesty of these people. read more

Went here for a quick walk because I enjoy exploring different grocery stores now since I just moved to the area. Initially, I was looking for a decoration for the new year, but I just bought other stuff too as usual lol. Too bad I came in late, they have a little corner where you can pick and choose different dishes into a meal. When paying, I noticed they have couple of people working too and there were assigned person to bag your stuff on each cashier, and they are fast. The workers, from the security guard to the receipt lady at the exit all have this off putting look, as if they're skeptical every person that walks in is going to steal from them. We've been Anaheim residents for a couple of years and were genuinely happy to see ABC Supermarket open in the area. We've been shopping here regularly since it opened. One evening around 7:30 pm (the store closes at 8 pm), we realized we were out of rice and stopped by quickly to grab a single 50 lb bag of jasmine rice. Knowing it was close to closing time, we even checked with the security guard at the front to make sure it was okay to go in quickly--he said yes. We went straight in, grabbed the rice, and headed directly to the cashier. Unfortunately, the cashier (name on the receipt: Tana) was very unpleasant. When we explained that we only had the one bag and could pull it forward for her to check without lifting it onto the counter, she gave us a dirty look and said, "Do it." When we asked if we could pay with Apple Pay, she stared at us without responding, turned away, and then said, "Scan it." The entire interaction felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive. I understand it was near closing time and that retail work can be exhausting, but customers who are respectful and quick shouldn't be treated like an inconvenience or an enemy. We really want to continue supporting this store, but experiences like this make it difficult. read more

I come here for all my Thai and Viet products as they have an amazing and HUGE inventory of imported goods at very reasonable prices. The produce selection is, however, on the pricey side so I always stick with Aldi. Very worthwhile and fantastic Asian ingredients. read more

Disappointed with my recent visit to ABC Supermarket. The cashier, Tana N., was incredibly rude--no greeting, no friendliness, and didn't say a single word during the entire checkout. She didn't bother to bag my groceries or even hand me my own bag. I've never felt more unwelcome in a store. On top of the poor service, prices here are high and honestly not worth it. Yes, they have a few rare items, but beyond that, there's no real reason to shop here. If you're in the area, save yourself the frustration and just go to SuperKing down the block--better food quality, much cheaper, and the cashiers actually treat you like a person. Wow I did not realize that we were at South Coast Plaza. Side note: this is a Vietnamese supermarket with seafood, meats, noodles, Asian sauces and spices. My mom just bought a bag of clothes from the mom and pop small business next door. She is elderly so she walks kind of slow, and as we barely enter the sliding doors of this supermarket, the Vietnamese male security guard (dressed in all black with heavy gear) stares us down and aggressively points his finger at us. He sees the plastic bag of clothes in my mom's hand and approaches us. He immediately tells us we cannot go in, unless we leave the bag of clothes with him. My mom tells him "I just bought this right now next door," she even opens up the plastic bag to show him the clothes. He did not care to look inside the bag. He just kept demanding we leave the bag in a crate with him. My mom then tells him, "I am afraid someone will steal it." He responded with: "you either leave it here or you can't go in!" I had not said anything, but I was starting to get annoyed with this security. So I told my mom, I'll take the clothes and wait for her in the car. Wow this security guard would not budge, he literally kept harassing us even after my mom showed him the clothes and receipt. I mean what if multiple people bought things in from the nearby stores, are you really going to force everyone to leave their purchased items in a crate?? That's absurd! On March 18, 2026, my youngest child spilled a little water on the floor, and everyone from the manager to the security guard showed disrespect and kicked my husband and three children out. We used to be long-time customers because it's near our house. After this incident, I will boycott the market and NEVER return. The manager and security guard provided TERRIBLE SERVICE. The market and most of the staff are friendly, but I wouldn't recommend buying live lobster and having them cooked for you. Not only will you waste an extra $3 per pound, but once it's cooked, a lot of the meat just vanishes. I ended up spending $300 for 16 lbs., and most of the lobster's abdomen (body part) were missing. I mentioned this issue to the manager, and her only response was that sometimes the lobsters just don't have much meat on them. read more

The good: I got lunar new year (or tet) dragon wall decor from here for $7. They had a variety of options that included lanterns and dragon-themed paper posters. There's plenty of parking here. They have a hot ready to take out food section in the front left. They played classic Vietnamese songs. The vegetable section was really neatly organized, full, clean and healthy looking. This store was cleaner than the other ABC location. The bad: I'm not sure why all of the Asian grocery stores have security guards. Perhaps, to prevent hate crimes? I have no idea but it must be bad or there must've been a bad incident if they need one. I like coming here for Asian snacks. They carry my favorite Dragonfly Cuttlefish chips. Their snacks are cheaper than other Asian markets. I also like getting coconut water and teas here. As far as produce, they don't have a huge selection of fruits compared to other Asian markets. I don't cook much, so I haven't bought meat from here. They have a cafeteria style restaurant that sells Vietnamese food. I've only had the fried rice, stir fry noodles and egg rolls. Their egg rolls are good and only $1.25 each. However, they don't come with any type of egg roll sauce. The fried rice and noodles comes in three different sizes. I usually get the small and they fill the container with so much food that it can feed 2-3 people. It is a great deal for $4.50 each. The fried rice is good and love that it has Chinese sausages. The noodles were on the bland side. Security here is very strict and kind of annoying. You have to leave your groceries with security if you need to use the restroom. There are two main doors, but only one is for entrance and the other is to exit. Also, one time I bought and paid for groceries already and tried to go to the food court, but was told I needed to exit the building first and then re-enter through the entrance door to get back in. Maybe there's a lot of theft going on at this market, but wow, security here acts like they are securing a high end luxury store. read more

I came by to find some decor for my office, didnt find any so i just bought 1 pomelo, came out to almost $8, when i was about to pay, i was trying to tap my card, then all of a sudden i heard this cashier TANA telling me in a rude tons you cant pay with credit card under $10. BEWARE if you are ordering the pre-cooked, stir-fry lobsters here!!! So we ordered 2 trays of the stir-fry lobsters. When we got home we realized that some of the pieces were missing, even parts of the two claws were not there too. I mean how starving can you be to steal customers' food like that? And that's not the worst part yet, whoever stole those pieces had the AUDACITY to put the shells back into the tray!!! Like are you serious? Be careful if you order the lobster! We ordered on Christmas Eve two small lobsters and two pieces of the tail were missing. There was the end of the tail but the body of the tail was missing 1 piece each so 2 total! Typically the tail gets chopped up into 3 pieces and when we lined it up, it was obvious one piece of each lobster was missing, this is THE BEST part of the lobster. This review is specifically for their food-to-go section at the store. I love this section so much and have bought food-to-go from here many times whenever I don't feel like cooking or have the time to cook. They have everything from appetizers such as egg rolls to legit Vietnamese dishes such as khit kho trung (caramelized pork and eggs) and even soups such as canh chua (Vietnamese sweet and sour soup). I absolutely go nuts for the salt and pepper prawns, though! My absolute fave here!! Each item is decently priced as well...if I can recall, it's $6 for a half pound of shrimp and $12 for a full pound. Every other item is basically priced at either half pound or full pound. IMO this ABC supermarket has a better food-to-go section than the location on Bolsa. However, Bolsa location has better quality groceries, & etc. (so I've heard from all the viet aunties and uncles, grandma's and grandpa's) LOL read more

Say what a market that got live Boston lobster and they can even cook it for you? Yes please! Super affordable compared to getting it at the restaurant. I asked for the lobsters to be cooked in the House Special sauce. Felt that it was kinda too sweet, needed more salt or something to counterbalance it. Process: Go to live seafood section and tell them how many pounds you want. They can do for live crab or lobster (4lb minimum to be cooked). They will give you a ticket which you take it with you to the hot/cooked food counter to pay and wait for your lobster to come out. Be warned coming here during a holiday would be at least 1.5+ wait. I made that mistake waiting at the market and it felt like an eternity waiting for the order to be ready on Christmas Eve. read more

However, they don't do much except talk crap in Vietnamese about customers. All they do is stand around and gossip. Also, they are charging you double for the items. Horrible employees! This is my favorite asian supermarket in the Anaheim area because they have one of the best Vietnamese food courts. The market itself is well stocked with adequate selections and relatively clean facilities. The star of the show is the hot food area right inside the entrance. I've had probably the best fast food fried rice here. They are very generous with their quality and quantity. There are meat and vegetable pieces in every bite and the rice is very well seasoned. And they really packed it up to the brim! I'm always worried of spillage whenever I open the container. A small fried rice ($3) is enough to get me full. Whenever I'm here I always buy loads of egg rolls ($0.60/ea) because I demolish them so fast. They're super tasty and fried perfectly without being oily. Better than Banh Mi Cali's and the majority of asian fast food places in OC and LA. Other notable items are fried fish (sell by pounds) and Canh Chua Ca (sweet and sour catfish soup). read more

Horrible place! I walked in with my service dog and was approched by security right away. He demanded to see my service dog license (which does not exist) and I tried educating him on service dog laws but he wouldn't listen. He told me my service dog was a comfort dog (which he isn't). He said "You don't have missing limps, not a veteran, not in wheelchair, not disabled." I ended up leaving and had a medical episode due to the harrasment. What the security guard did was illegal and I reported him and the business to the DOJ. Employees are only allowed to ask Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? What work or task has the dog been trained to perform? There is NO registration, ID, certificate, or license. Service dogs can be any breed and size. A service dog does not have to wear a vest. You can tell a real from a fake based on behavior. Real service dogs are very well behaved and focused on handler. Fakes pull on leash, sniff everything, ride in shopping carts. read more
