There service here is horrible, Hoa Nguyen the assistant manager not even the manager had the nerve to accuse me of stealing, I come here on a regular but I won't be coming back. The day before Chinese new year I came to buy something, I went in quick and paid and was at the security for him to check my receipt so I can leave since I was already in a rush to prepare for the new year, but then this assistant manager hoa Nguyen yelled out on the top of her lungs to stop me because I was "stealing" and she had the "right" to check my purse. Which of course no one has the right to do that so I told her to call the cops in which she kept yelling "no I have the right to check your purse". I felt humiliated and angry because I wasn't stealing but I was being accused of something I didn't do. Imagine the embarrassment when in front of everyone they wanted to check my purse. I told them to check the cameras because I did not steal and they had no right to hold me like this and search through my things. In the end I felt antagonized because they wouldn't let me leave unless I showed them my purse. When I finally did show them my purse they found nothing! Which they didn't even apologize she just said it seemed like I was stealing! I've read through many other reviews here and seems like this place is just like that rude and unprofessional they accuse people of stealing when it's not even true. Beware of the rude workers here. And the food here? Don't get me started there's mold in the bread and also the "fresh" fruits, nothing fresh about them. ABC is very competitive when it comes to prices. Their seafood are always fresh and delicious. I go to the Anaheim branch because it's cleaner. I like the cooked food they serve in the Magnolia branch. I think the Magnolia branch should be upgraded though. It would be nice if they do because sometimes the cleanliness for this beach has to be improved. read more

This market is within walking distance from my apartment, so I frequent it during my lunch breaks (I work from home) to avoid evening traffics and using up gas (gas prices are increasing!). Prices are affordable for the most part; I was surprised that my favorite Korean snacks are more affordable here than some Korean markets! DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE TO BUY MEAT! Last time I went here, the butcher cut some meat for another customer before me. He threw it on the weight scale, with no bag, no gloves, raw meat on the scale, which was clearly dirty. She asked him to please rinse and clean the meat, he nodded his head left and right with a Du Ma (fuck you!) look. I was next and he threw my meat on that same scale without anything protecting it. Cross contamination much? Even my mother, whom of which came from a third world country from southeast Asia decades ago, said to me that place is dirty and she's the most unsanitary person I know! read more

This gem of an Asian cultured ethnic food store is awesome ! Pretty much the closets thing we have unless you feel like taking a drive to H mart or 99 ranch which is always Uber crowded! The butcher department eye roll let's just say if you're not Asian you definitely won't get top tier service! I literally watched the butcher take care to chop an Asian patrons meat up just as she asked , when I asked for a similar request was told they don't do that ! Not bad at all! I was a little hesitant to check out the place because of the bad reviews on customer service. I saw no sign of discourtesy at all, checkout was ver orderly and quiet. I sometimes go to this supermarket and not really have any complaints but I saw the owner and his lawyer went on 57.3 to show the invoice that they bought the case of 24 bottles of 16 oz arrowhead bottles for $11.99 so they sold for $ 14.99.I just don't believe it at all. I just want to show them that they can buy that at any target or Walmart for $3.49 a case of the same arrowhead. I am pretty sure they can buy in cheaper than that. Please be aware Came to abc to buy lobster and have them cook at the food to go. Half of my order was missing. When they weight it at the tank is was about 10 pound but when i pick it up is was half the wieght. I was a little unsure, but thinking maybe because is was lighter after is was cook. When I get home and check it I notice they only put the claw and head most of the body was missing. What kind business is this. I was really mad. Three times, a cashier named Tana N had an arrogant, contemptuous attitude and cursed at customers. This third time, because I was so frustrated, I reported it to the customer service department, but they did not resolve it and seemed disinterested and disregarded my opinion, so this person should not work in the customer service department., should cede that position to someone else. When working, you should help the business owner because they are the ones who pay salaries and take care of their employees' lives. Don't chase away customers to lose revenue for the business owner, but also get a reputation that this market has overbearing and unpleasant employees who lack respect for customers. read more

My first visit and I found a variety of buys for this week. 20 AA eggs/ $1.99 ; Filet Mignon/ beef tenderloin roast - $4.99/lb also great price on ribeye steaks. chicken drumsticks - .49/lb - much cheaper than drumette/wings & more meaty. Fresh lobsters $8.99/lb but looks like 4lbs or more - big bodied. $2/lb if you want them to cook it for you. I think these are good deals for this week. There is a large frozen section of a variety of both familar American and very exotic food finds. There was both Ben&Jerry's(2 for $7) and Magnum(high priced), frozen mochi and other interesting frozen dessert items. Lots of other products both - heat & serve and need to be cooked. Frozen shrimp at a fair price. There is a good fresh produce area - fruits & vegs of Asian choices - at very good prices. Exotics include - Mangosteen, Lychee, Rambutan, mango - all seems to be of good quality. This is a large store that is cramped with mostly items that SE Asians would relate to. There is also a cooked food/takeout by the front door but I did not check that out. Very good selections of wines & liquors for those who indulge. I went on a weekday morning and light crowd already. I would think that the weekends will be jammed with shoppers. I bought only eggs & chicken drumsticks on this scouting visit. I will come back another time with a shopping list & pickup a lobster and have them cook it for us. read more

I was just at this market and I wanted to share what a horrible experience I just had with the little Hispanic man at the exit door. I am a frequent customer, was a frequent customer, and I know exactly where the restroom is. I stepped inside through the exit door, completely aware that it is the exit only. However, I was in dire need of using the restroom. I am a 100% disabled veteran and unfortunately when I need the restroom, I need the restroom right away. I did not know the code to the restroom and I stepped over and asked this Hispanic man the code. He immediately started telling me that I needed to go around this will be exit. I said I understand, and I'm going to go around I just need to use the restroom really quick. He kept yelling at me saying you have to go around, you have to go around you have to go around. I said work, please let me just use the restroom real quick and then I'm gonna go around. He refused to help me. This man apparently has more power than what he should be responsible for. He is abusing his power, because this is how he abuses his customers. The people who pay his check. I totally understand not letting people abuse coming through that door. But if somebody has an emergency and they need to get into the restroom right away, there needs to be some compassion and understanding. Both of these things this man did not have. I love to go to this location because it is brand new so everything still clean and neat! Not crowded like the one on Magnolia and Bolsa. This is my go to market for groceries!! Looking for fresh fruits? Definitely recommend this place! Most of the time their prices are lower than any other places, plus they only carry the best quality fruits! I got 9boxes of cherry a month ago for $24/box which is a really good deal at the time. While other place sell for $4-$5/lb this place only sell for $.99/lb and $.89/lb if you purchase a box! I sent the cherry oversea and my family love it! (Fresh and big than the farm in Palmdale) i went back there again to get 4 more boxes but the price went up due to the end of cherry season is approaching & the cherry this time arent so good like before. I went there again before July 4th to get some jackfruit, my dad recently bought a 29lbs jackfruit but we want to buy more for a gift.. i went and only the small one (about 10lbs each were out on display) so i decided to ask the worker there and they assist me to the back to get the 60lbs jackfruit! Asian supermarkets make me feel at home, because there is just such a variety of asian foods that remind me of my childhood. ABC has a huge selection and is typical of other asian markets in that there's areas for fresh seafood, frozen, produce, and then aisles and aisles of various asian foods and snacks. Not only that, the prices are pretty decent and not too bad. Just wish it was cleaner and the parking lot wasn't so weirdly situated. read more

I went to that market many times. I like that market. Very clean many groceries to select my items. Specially The sea food and produce department. They have many edible leafs and other veggies. We always buy the catfish when we go there. Catfish is a bottom water fish and very dirty but they clean it nicely even the black skin they clean it. If I want to fry they will fry for me too. But I don't like to fry my fish there for no reason. I like to fry my fish at my home. I never bought meat from there. I go there for veggies and seafood. The working crews are very hard working people but they never smile to the customers. Everybody looks so serious. It doesn't cost you the employees to smile and greets your customers. The meat is being handled with no gloves, and slapped on a dirtiest scale from previous meat,at the to go food station, the woman was swatting flies away, the security guard is rude, and the store doesn't keep regular hours. I come here once or twice a week. Everything is fresh and the prices are great. I've been to alot of vietnamese stores and the prices here is the cheapest. I also like how clean and organized this store is. If you've been to the original ABC store in Westminster, you know what I'm talking about. This place was the exact locationof the Westminster location but I like the place in Anaheim better because of the location. Is it good? Here's a recap of the event Shopping was just an average day since our parents pray a lot because of the religion. We brought fruits and vegetables unfortunately I have no photos of the place because it said: "No photography". It was a GREAT experience. The supermarket in Anaheim was holding a contest since it opened with specific prizes for the expense of the receipt. It consisted of coffee/green tea bags, Maggi Seasoning sauce and Hennessey XO. It was nice. I highly recommend it for EVERYONE as long respect is shown to our Vietnamese people. I thought it was just alright with no mutual feelings. Stopped by ABC supermarket, Anaheim location yesterday 4/1/23. I usually buy pork meat loaf at the Westminster location, and I'm always satisfied with this product there. My family usually orders this product in advance before a Luna New Year comes. At that special time, the loaf is double in size. It looks great for a New Year gift. So, this time I gave it a try at this location. All the loafs are very organized in a large clean tray. They are warm. A roll of plastic bag is conveniently standing next to the tray. Very thoughtful!!! I made sandwiches today with it and I'm totally happy!!! The taste and the texture is just like what I had at the other location. They are soft, smooth, no chewy random pieces, and especially the aroma from the banana leaves incorporated into the well seasoned pork paste is so good. The price is probably $1.50 higher than before, though. But prices of food and gas are all up. I'm not surprised at all, but just little sad. I'm writing this review just want to thank ABC chefs that making this meat loaf taste delicious all the time, even at a different location. Highly recommended! read more

I just tried to buy rice - the workers brought out bags for everyone that asked in their language. I asked kindly in English and they told me they were sold out. I watched them bring out bags for others after me. the cashier even had 4 bags sitting there and wouldn't even let me buy 1! I hate to say this but I feel like if you aren't Asian this store treats you harshly and rude. My home is two minutes away so sometimes I make quick stops to grab some stuff. Whenever I go to the meat bar, they plainly ignore me until the Supervisor says something then they processed to slam my meat on the counter just as the cashier does when they are checking out my stuff. I try to be in and out of the store as fast as I can but it doesn't help that the security guard is mugging you. To sum it up, if you don't have to shop at this store don't. read more
