The guy said it wasn't a transmission issue, might be a clog cat comverter. so I took it to another mechanic and he said the transmission is bad so he's putting in a new one in for me. Earlier today I spoke to my mother in law and she asked me to take her to ABC Transmission to pick up her car. They told her they cleared the codes so she's good. Well her car needs a new transmission too. This place is ridiculous. Not going back or recommending this place to anyone.

People, if you have not studied and worked on Anything as a long term hobby or career. Stop, going in to businesses and demanding they do the work for next to nothing, then writing a bad review because it didn't turn out as you would've liked. When you do this, you miss out on top quality work. If you choose to fish around for budget finds, just walk away, when you are sent away. I'd rather have to pay a little more, for quality than to be scammed because they know I will just pay below the bill for a minimum outcome. In the end you will have to fix it again, and still spend above the amount you were trying to scam the professionals out of. Hank is one of the extremely few honest mechanics around. I recently went in for an oil change. I mentioned the airbag warning came on, he immediately said he can't touch it, that, that's something you want to take to the dealer and make sure it's not a recall, that I don't want to void the warranty or have something go wrong, that could've been easy money, instead he honestly said no. How can you be upset about that. So if you're told no, except that it's a good thing. Finally, on big purchases, as I was taught by my dad, fix it right the first time.
