Cheese Quesadillas with green chile
Cat B.

To be fair I ordered through DoorDash but FYI - Adding green chile doesnt actually add green chiles to your quesadilla or burrito. I was NOT expecting huge amounts of pork instead of a salsa verde type situation. Maybe that's my fault but it should specify I think. They also dont have sides so I couldn't order a side of refried beans or sour cream. And they didn't allow my special request for some. My $20 BYO Burrito was LOADED with pork and chicken because I didnt realize the chiles were just meat and it had a dab of sour cream at one end and a splash of cheese sauce. The Chips & Guac didnt come in a cup or look anything as pictured. It tasted like taco bells guac but on worse chips. There are definitely better options for Mexican food around here. I will say the tortilla shells were great and the cheese dip had a nice zing to it but that's about the extent of positive for me.

Breakfast burrito: egg cheese and potato. Yes, that's the burrito sitting on a standard legal pad just to show you the size

This is a new restaurant in The Downtown Lee Summit area, occupying the old sonic location. This location had its grand opening last week so I thought I'd swing by this morning to grab a breakfast burrito because I had heard they are great. When I drove by, there was only one car in the drive-through, so I swung in real quick and placed my order. It's a rather extensive drive through menu that will take a little time to get used to finding the various items. Breakfast burritos are listed on the bottom middle of the menu. The prices for a little bit more than I was expecting, but I still want to give them a try. I ordered a sausage, egg, cheese and potato breakfast burrito. The price came in just shy of $12. For a breakfast item it's really big enough to be cut in half and shared with a partner. The burrito is stuffed with ingredients and comes with two sauces on the side, one green and one red. I'm more of a chunky salsa on my breakfast burrito type of guy, but I wanted to try their sauces. The green is a basic Verde sauce, and the red had a little bit of a kick. I definitely thought the burrito, based on that size and quality was worth the purchase price. From a customer experience perspective, the young lady working the window, could increase her engagement and enthusiasm a little. Knowing that pretty much everybody who's going to be eating there for the next month is gonna be new thanking them saying hi, etc. would benefit them perhaps a visit to the Dutch Brothers drive-through would give them an idea of drive through engagement.

Quick Mexican food with amazing homemade chips. The steak was a little tough but the combination of toppings made it a delicious dish. The salsa was hands down the best in Lees Summit. Food was ready as soon as we got to the window. Price was a little on the higher end at close to $13/each of these dishes.

Great food, awesome service and reasonably priced. Some of the best Mexican fast food in the area. What more could you want?

Quiet open arrival, but as it quickly gained patrons, it was difficult with hearing aids to carry on a conversation. Old building, high ceilings - - LOTS of conversations. It's busy with 30 to 50 year olds. It was an absolute JOY to witness their gatherings, hugs and smiles. Eric - - our server, was very kind, patient and helped explain several of the questions we had regarding the menu. We APPRECIATED his attention to our large water carafe, filling it frequently. THANKS ERIC (with a C!!) Our food was nicely plated, temperature perfect and portions were VERY generous. The Classic Breakfast was my choice. Eggs cooked as directed, breakfast potatoes, one smallish, breakfast sausage in natural casing. A steak knife would have been helpful. I don't know the brand of bacon they serve, but it was FABULOUS! Thick sliced, prepared beautifully and mmmm, mmmm GOOD! The plate includes a Cheddar Biscuit. It is BIG and delicious LOOKING! I had to bring it, half of my potatoes and the sausage "to go". My husband ordered the Sausage, Egg & Cheese Biscuit. He was not a fan of the less than tasty sausage. #DIL ordered a Chicken Biscuit - - she shared a bite of the chicken. Let's just say, I KNOW what I will be ordering NEXT time we go. Our grandson ordered his favorite Biscuits & Gravy. HUGE portions, suitable for a growing young man. We will be back! P.S. The Gilded Pear cocktail was delicious. The Key Lime Pie was exquisite. Lovely plating and scrumptious. I shared it with my husband PLUS we brought half of it home.

We got there around 9am and were seated right away with no wait, but by the time we were leaving there was definitely a line forming. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. I especially appreciated that they offer gluten-free options, which can be hard to find at breakfast places. The drinks were definitely a highlight--strong (in a good way) and well-made, which is always a plus! The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the service was friendly throughout our visit. Overall, definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and looking for a solid breakfast spot.

I love the vibe of the place with the crystal chandeliers and the writing on the walls. Emily was a fantastic server. She waited patiently while we looked over the vast menu. I ended up choosing the corned beef n' hash and it was honestly the best breakfast I've eaten in a long time and the best corned beef ever. The drizzle of mustard on top added the perfect tang to the tender strips of corned beef. The eggs were cooked perfectly over medium. The hash had a great consistency with a fine chop on the veggies.

It was nice so we sat on the patio. The brunch menu is small but packs a nice variety. I ordered the tater tot bowl minus bacon add chicken tinga. It was delicious. The tots were crispy, soft scramble egg, avocado, and cheesy goodness. My companion ordered the belly burger. She said it was delicious ious too. For apps we ordered the hummus. It was good. On a previous visit, I ordered the spicy peanut noodle bowl with shrimp and the dynamite shrimp app. Yum!! Both were loaded with flavor. Forgot to take a pic. From 10-11:30 on weeekends, mimosas are $1.99. What a deal!! And of course I had to try all the flavors! Cran-orange is my fav. They have a great happy hour, daily specials, kids menu, vegetarian menu and some gf options. I will definitely be back to try the pancakes and Nashville chicken Sammy. All the meals came out warmish but my toddler's meal was scalding hot. The teenager didn't like their cheeseburger, the toddler didn't want their French Toast which is wild since that's their favorite thing to eat. My breakfast tacos were flavorless and hubs basic breakfast was tasteless. We left a lot of food on the plates. Not a place we will be returning too. Looking around the place, everyone was ordering lots of drinks. I guess that's how the food tastes better. ‍

The beans were ground fresh for me. I love French Vanilla coffee, but it's not my wife's favorite. So it was nice to be able to get a cup and enjoy it. I also ordered biscuits and gravy and a glass of milk, which were very tasty. I brought my wife home a cinnamon roll which she enjoyed. She said it was good. Typically, their coffee passes, but this was like tea, but even tea can be strong at times. It's disappointing, since we are supposed to be hosting the FIFA World Cup nearby, and I really don't believe we've had any foreign visitors here in L.S., but if any came here I'd be afraid they might judge L S. coffee as weak, when, trust me, you can get good coffee at other establishments. Maybe someone should bring in some Starbucks, since theirs is normally nuclear, growing cheat hairs, and mix it with the tea and coffee they have here.
