Great option for quick but delicious mexican food. I work nearby and we get this for the whole work crew every Tuesday. You get a lot of food for the price and it's very consistent. There's a young lady who works the evening shift at The Abelardo's in Lee's Summit (300 SE 3rd street), specifically on Tuesdays. I thought the first time we went there she was having a bad day but we've been back several times and every time we go there she has a bad attitude, very rude, impatient and lacks customer service skills. To be fair I ordered through DoorDash but FYI - Adding green chile doesnt actually add green chiles to your quesadilla or burrito. I was NOT expecting huge amounts of pork instead of a salsa verde type situation. Maybe that's my fault but it should specify I think. They also dont have sides so I couldn't order a side of refried beans or sour cream. And they didn't allow my special request for some. My $20 BYO Burrito was LOADED with pork and chicken because I didnt realize the chiles were just meat and it had a dab of sour cream at one end and a splash of cheese sauce. The Chips & Guac didnt come in a cup or look anything as pictured. It tasted like taco bells guac but on worse chips. There are definitely better options for Mexican food around here. I will say the tortilla shells were great and the cheese dip had a nice zing to it but that's about the extent of positive for me. read more

We especially enjoy the queso birria tacos. We also like their fried tacos although I prefer to get one nice big taco rather thanthe "five for five" deal on Tuesdays, Their sauces are a just okay and the tamales I've tried there were dry and chewy. I'm actually surprised they served them. If I could tell there was a problem when they were on my plate, how could the back of the house not seen it too? Still, I gave them a second chance but they probably won't get a third. What they serve for guacamole really is unacceptable and there will be no second chances on it. I mean, unless you start with fresh avocados, what's the point? Still, their queso birria tacos are delicious and we'll go just for them. read more

This is a new restaurant in The Downtown Lee Summit area, occupying the old sonic location. This location had its grand opening last week so I thought I'd swing by this morning to grab a breakfast burrito because I had heard they are great. When I drove by, there was only one car in the drive-through, so I swung in real quick and placed my order. It's a rather extensive drive through menu that will take a little time to get used to finding the various items. Breakfast burritos are listed on the bottom middle of the menu. The prices for a little bit more than I was expecting, but I still want to give them a try. I ordered a sausage, egg, cheese and potato breakfast burrito. The price came in just shy of $12. For a breakfast item it's really big enough to be cut in half and shared with a partner. The burrito is stuffed with ingredients and comes with two sauces on the side, one green and one red. I'm more of a chunky salsa on my breakfast burrito type of guy, but I wanted to try their sauces. The green is a basic Verde sauce, and the red had a little bit of a kick. I definitely thought the burrito, based on that size and quality was worth the purchase price. From a customer experience perspective, the young lady working the window, could increase her engagement and enthusiasm a little. Knowing that pretty much everybody who's going to be eating there for the next month is gonna be new thanking them saying hi, etc. would benefit them perhaps a visit to the Dutch Brothers drive-through would give them an idea of drive through engagement. read more

This place is a drive through mainly with a few chairs of indoor seating and more so for outdoor seating, as this used to be a sonic. I'm pretty sure this place is a chain so you'd get service much like if you were at Culver's or Freddy's, which is you place your order, but you gotta go and get it yourself at least form what I know, but I expect that anyway especially as the place is designed for such. The food and prices here are good, they aren't amazing but again, are all really good, personally my go to is the fried taco's, with a flour tortilla fried into a taco shell and filled with meat, cheese, and lettuce, it's not amazing but for a couple dollars and getting a few too, it's not bad at all, the salsa which comes in packets is amazing, their queso is amazing too, it has a little bit of a kick as it has green chilies, but I can tell why it's the most ordered item from them on DoorDash. Their churros are great too. Overall it's a great little Mexican drive thru that's only a short walk from downtown. read more

Finally they went with a soft opening. The grand opening will be July 19. Crazy since we've driven past their other locations but we just never got around to trying then out. Now they are right here in Lee's Summit we had to go. Usually when a new place opens we wait till they get the kinks out and the risk of everyone trying them out is past. My wife was skeptical. It's drive thru only. Well they have some tables outside you can eat at. This former Sonic location is easy in and out. The menu is huge. You should look at the online menu first unless you already know what you'll order. We went after lunch and before supper so we were between meal times. Service was quick. Some of this food is perfect to pick up and take home. Some of it is fine to eat in your car. My wife got the half nachos.... Huge serving filling the to go box. She got it with chicken. I had a bean burrito with cheese. This was the biggest burrito I've ever had. The refried beans and the tortilla were so good. This actually counts as a full meal even if it is a separate item on the menu. So very good. I also got the two taco combo. The rice was just rice... Not bad and yet nothing to get excited about. Really good refried beans but you guessed that. Ok the two this were standard filling but were fried crispy flour shells. I'll be back to get more of those for sure. The app doesn't work at this location. My wife was not too excited to come here but the food was so good she added the app to her phone and said this will be perfect for picking up to take home... She can't wait to go back and try the filled and unfilled churros. Prices were reasonable as well. read more
