Great food. Biscuits and gravy was wonderful, add 2 eggs for $1.99 and side of ham for $3.99. A wonderful, large veggie omelet came with potatoes and 2 slices of toast for under $13. Very disappointed in a place we used to look forward to taking a meal. Ordered the crab omelette. It was basically a cheese omelette with about a tablespoon of crab sprinkled on top. The same with the green onions. There was nothing inside the omelette except cheese, which, for the most part was not melted. The price for this ripped off omelette was nearly $18. Service was poor. Our server did take our drink order. Our food order brought us our food and took care of our bill. Other than that, we never saw her during the time that we were eating. It's Fathers Day. I called ahead to ask if they served Country Fried Streak. They said yes absolutely. Drove over 30 minutes from Oak Grove, with many other options closer for breakfast. Got here, and they don't offer country fried steak, but only a pork tenderloin. Reluctantly ordered that. She said it comes with broccoli. No broccoli for breakfast please, so she kindly offered eggs. If you like a thinly pressed fried tenderloin you might like this one. No hash browns. Just fried potato chunks. They were ok, but no hash browns. Disappointing we drove here for this. Portions were generous. Ok, just got my bill and I have an up charge fee for subbing out the broccoli for an egg. I haven't been here before and always thought it was a Chinese restaurant by the name. We came here for breakfast one morning. Ambience casual setting with kind of a plain natural color deco. We were in town overnight, and looking for this place. Saw the listing on Yelp, and checked out the menu. The Crab Benedict drew me in. It was different from the usual crab cake Benedict, but I decided to try it. When they set it in front of me, I looked at it askance - probably even frowned a bit. The egg peeking out from under the hollandaise looked feies, not poached. And the crab was just loose lump crab meat. However... It was delicious! We had a brunch at Ginger's, which was excellent. We had the spinach and salmon on a muffin and sauce, which was delightful and what a huge piece of salmon they served. What a lovely place to eat at very large clean in the restaurant and a wonderful atmosphere will definitely go there again and a really nice feature, they give you coffee to go. Stopped bye on a rainy morning. I had the breakfast Burrito and the french toast. Omg the Burrito was great the potatoes on the side were so delicious. Now the frech toast was not my speed...and I love French toast. I thought the order was small and so untraditional...i would go back minus the Frenchtoast. I had never been there before till this last Sunday for a late breakfast. It's hidden off of Douglas street in Lees Summit so we had not been because we did not know it was there. I found it on the app. The service was great and friendly. The young lady gave us her opinion of different breakfast items. I chose the gravy bowl and my wife had the avocado eggs Benedict. We both had enough to take home and enjoy later. I thought their menu was diversified for all to find something to enjoy. We shared a blueberry pancake which was light and the blue berry compost over the top was scrumptious. Their breakfast entrees ran from 12 - 15 dollars. I Shall Return! I am a breakfast guy, I cannot lie, and Ginger Sue's does it well. Nestled in a strip mall off Douglass in Lee's Summit, the location works for the area. There is ample parking and easy access to the entrance. The decor is open, modern, and well lit. Coming through the door we were immediately welcomed by the hostess and shown to a table. A server was right on her heels to take our drink orders. We were given the right amount of time to make our decisions (our server kept a good eye on all his tables), and served hot and inviting. One thing of note was the Eggs Benedict was made with ham rather than Canadian Bacon. This gave it an interesting texture and taste that was enjoyable. The remainder of the service and meal were both outstanding, and well worth the reasonable price. Of note should be that both times I have been there were mid-morning and not during "rush" times, so that could have made things simpler for the staff. Recommendation: As an earlier "Douglass" had once said, "I Shall Return!" Four of us had brunch last weekend - great food and service! I got the Honey Mustard chicken sandwich - often this is a pretty boring sandwich, but this one was anything but that! It was a nice plump piece of chicken with a generous slathering of tangy honey mustard. I got it without mayo and was glad I did as I didn't need the additional condiment. It came with great fries that were crisp, hot, and delicious. My wife got Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal, which was much more interesting than many oatmeals, with good chunks of fruit. One of the others in our party got the soup and salad combo, which was a tasty soup, and a salad with a nice mix of greens. The other in our party got the Ginger's Classic breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a biscuit. He said the bacon was amazing, with hearty flavor. Don't go if you're in any kind of hurry. Took a few minutes for waitress to come over, so we went ahead and ordered food & drinks at the same time...no big deal. I actually brought a bottle of water in with me but husband ordered a glass of water. Food is brought out by another waitress, still no water for my husband. We request to it again at that point with the one that brought out food. Still no water. We finish our food when original waitress asks how things are, we ask for water and ticket, which she brings. I go to the restroom and realize there's maybe 3 customers on the other side so the business is not full or overly busy to reflect the slow service. Come back from restroom to see husband is still waiting for waitress to pick up card to pay. We have a tee time and this has been drug out long enough, so I take the receipt to bar/desk (where 5 employees are) and ask to pay there and for the to go box we hadn't received. ***Food was GREAT, service was below par for an establishment that was maybe half full and fully staffed. read more

I also ordered an egg and fruit on the side for her which was more than enough food for her. I had the Eggs Benedict and it was one of the best I've had.
