The music, the television shows, the artwork. Now the not so good, their tortas don't compare to Las Dos Tres (at least the one I tried) I've been here a few times. In both cases a pattern emerged regarding service: food took far too long to come out, close to thirty minutes. Also, I never had my glass refilled without asking the waitress. This last time, unfortunately, made me give up on this location. I initially ordered a taco, then asked what was in it. When I heard it was chicken guts, I said, oh no, I don't want that. In the end the waitress still brought it out. Second, I asked for the spicy salsa to be held to the side for a dish. That also was not followed. If you are ordering to go with a straightforward order this might be a good place to go... but even people coming to pick up their orders were waiting.

The staff is friendly and are always checking in on you. They have great paintings that make the place stand out and makes you feel like you're actually sitting in a Mexican home having lunch. I do want to note though that some of their seats and floors are pretty old and worn out. The bathroom was also clean. So after you're seated, they give you chips and salsa. I'm not a big fan of chips and salsa but when you're coming in extremely hungry, it serves as a a great appetizer. I love their big beer cup of horchata! I love horchata and the fact that they're not stingy on their serving, automatically gives them a good rating in my book. They have both a vegan and a regular menus, which once again is great because they care about their customers regardless of their diet, allergens, or preferences. On this day we had the cecina platter, birria beef street tacos, and the vegan tacos de canasta. Their mojara frita (fried fish) is also an amazing dish! Overall the food was delicious and we all left pretty satisfied and full. We will continue coming here until we find a reason not to.

Great salsa bar, and typical mexican things. It has a drive thru which is crazy because I think every-time I visit I would choose to go inside. The service is great and straight to the point. Now for the reason you go.. the food. Fantastic. Every time I've gone I've enjoyed my meal. This is one of those places where you're like.. well fuck. looks like I gotta try everything on this menu. And I don't know if I would dislike anything. The food is fresh and better than other a lot of other Mexican spots in KC. Overall I'm definitely gunna be visiting again in the future and years to come. Great vibe, great food, and a great time.

The service was okay! Nothing super special but they answered questions and were helpful at the counter. This was our first time here so we ordered a few things to sample and share amongst ourselves. The first thing we had was the chips and queso, which I thought was a bit expensive at $7.99 but not too bad. The queso was fairly spicy but otherwise nothing special. I usually love queso so it surprised me how neutral I felt toward it! The chips were good, thin and light with a crispy bite to them. We unfortunately didn't get to try the salsa, noticing only at the end of our meal that there was a sauce bar near the counter! The birria tacos were also...okay. They were very juicy but not very uniquely flavored compared to everything else we tried. The meat was tender and I loved the texture of the tortilla, but didn't care for the massive handful of cilantro dropped on top of everything on the plate. The dipping liquid (birria sauce?) was alright! It was the same flavor as the tacos themselves so it didn't add much, but it definitely wasn't bad. The "main course" of what we ordered was a combo of soft chicken tacos, rice, and beans. The chicken tacos were unfortunately very cold by the time we got them which was a bit strange, as almost everything else was hot! They tasted good but I'm really not a fan of eating cold chicken, so I passed them off to my friends. The beans were just okay. There's really not much to say about them. The rice also left me disappointed! I typically devour Spanish rice. Not only was it cold, there were also odd, hard grains of rice mixed in. Not enough to get one every bite but enough that the experience of eating it was off-putting. It was also quite bland. Another note: While we were eating, there was this constant loud droning coming from the air conditioner. I'm a MASSIVE fan of air conditioning so I'm grateful it was on in the first place, but that is something they really need to get fixed. Two women seated near us actually got up and walked outside after commenting multiple times about how disturbing the noise was. My experience here was definitely a mixed bag but it leaned toward the positive, so we'll likely try them again! They had several other menu items I'd like to try, including some American fare that I found intriguing.

It has all the things - steak, shrimp, chicken, onions, bell peppers, rice, jalapeños, shredded cheese and queso. It just hits the spot every single time. Hot and delicious as expected. The hard shell taco is a new item for me. The shredded beef wasn't my favorite and I think I would have enjoyed the ground beef option better so that's what I'll order the next time. The shell was really crunchy and that was my favorite part. The green and red salsas were okay. I was expecting some heat from the red sauce but there was none. I ordered via DoorDash this time but during my visits in the store, the service has been good. The ambiance was nice with colorful Mexican decor and the tunes to match. Would definitely recommend

Two of the three were after midnight and all three arrived hot, well prepared, and tasted delicious. Ordered the Birria Quesadilla which was stuffed with meat and cheese. Ordered pork tamales which claimed and did taste like they're made daily. Ordered a fish taco which tasted very fresh and was sizeable. Ordered a Fajita Mix of steak, shrimp, chicken, onions, bell peppers, and cheese which came with quac, rice, and refried beans. Again, everything ordered was very good. I'll be ordering often and more from their menu.
