First time at this location. My standard order is the breakfast burrito. It was good as usual BUT I remember the burritos being bigger in Norman, OK, Hays, KS and Wichita, KS. We have eaten here several times and this by far was our worst experience. I will never eat here again. After trying to relay our order to the cashier, our order for tacos was incorrect with flour tortillas instead of corn. The margarita was lame. My preconception of what a tempura batter fried shrimp must be different from their fried shrimp. But the worst part was I was sick after I got home. Will never go back. read more

Anyway, you get your choice of hard vs soft shell so it meets our needs perfectly. We had 2 grilled shrimp on hard tacos, shredded chicken and carnitas on the other tacos. Howdy All, I don't know why I can't seem to shake this place (but I really do know why). Well, suffice it to say that it isn't always the fancy, swancy places that have the best food, the simple/ordinary and sometimes overlooked places often are delicious as well. Don't sleep on Fuzzy's! I didn't say 'hole in the wall' because it isn't...on the contrary, it's just a cool little spot/Mexican eatery that happens to have decent tacos (love the flavor) nachos (very, very tasty), burritos (huge & very filling), enchiladas & cilantro lime rice. These items in particular send my taste buds into a hop, skip and a jump! The cashiers are usually fairly friendly & when I go to the pick-up area to get my food they are cordial. I love the decor & ambiance which is fitting for a Mexican restaurant. You can sit at a table, booth or a high table with unique bar chairs (Warning: these are not for big booty folks). I also like the variety of the menu and you can add, mix-up etc. as you please and they're very accommodating sometimes with no up-charge. The prices are reasonable and the portion size is normally enough for another meal. They also have several drink options for those of you that indulge in beverages other than sodas. There are several locations in town and also quite a few spread throughout the U.S. as I've noticed in my travels. I had such an enjoyable lunch recently as I dined alone and just thought I'd share that it's worth checking out if you've never been (and returning if you haven't been in a while). Again, a great place to try with tasty food that won't break the bank...just quaint, pleasant and peaceful (if you go outside of the lunch and dinner rush and be sure to peep out the specials on certain days). The food just wasn't good. I barely touched my quesos, which is usually my favorite thing. The enchiladas weren't good either.

Have driven past this place for years, and always wanted to stop and eat there. Today I had lunch there with some work colleagues. The guacamole is wonderful. The queso was a little bland, but still good. The chips were quite tasty but very thin so they broke off in the guacamole. The menu is reasonably priced and everyone in our group enjoyed their food. The grilled shrimp salad one of my colleagues had looked amazing. I had the steak fajita burrito and it was very tasty - not too spicy, but full of lots of flavor with the black beans and lime rice. I would recommend this place, and plan to go back for more. Parking was easy. read more

The food here is on Par with the other Fuzzy Taco Shops in the KC area. This particular location is kind of sad though, they want to be a hip happening place but has an overwhelming atmosphere of sadness. I think it came from the men's room not having a locking door. I told the guy behind the counter about it and he said he knew about it being broken and needs work on making a sign for the door. How long does that take? Anywhos...if you still want their food but don't want to come here they do use Post Mates to deliver to your home (Where the lock on your bathroom door probably works). read more

2 stars. The back staff are rude. I asked where the mild sauce was and they said, "on the table that's our sauce." Like I had no idea where the sauce was located. So then I started to put the beeper down on the counter and the back staff said, " no, it goes in there." This doesn't sound rude but wow, the attitude. The sauce at the table was on the hot side of medium. I had a Baja chicken taco plate. Pretty sure that was a flour tortilla and not a corn tortilla like it said. Whew glad I didn't get a gluten migraine on the way home. The rice rice was clumpy but the black beans were good. Gave Fuzzy's a shot since our usual taco spot is closed on Sundays. I remember it being good in college- either I didn't have tastebuds back then, or Fuzzy's has gone way downhill. The queso had no flavor and couldn't cover up the taste of old fryer oil that coated the chips. The brisket was unbelievably dry, but somehow the tortilla was soaking wet? Didn't even take a bite of the ground beef tacos after opening the foil and seeing what was inside. My husband choked most of his (incorrect) meal back, but I threw 3/4 tacos in the trash. Not much meat and peppers for the fajita and it-was so over cooked that it was almost impossible to eat. The combo plate 1 taco 1enchilada. The taco was so greasy it dripped down your hand. I look forward to vacations because we always stop and get breakfast at Fuzzy's on our way out of town... but this location needs to brush up on some skills.... ...first, can we manage to keep a manager for more than a couple months? This seems to reflect bad ownership. You've had a couple good ones run through your fingers over the past two years. It is so inconsistent with staff constantly turning over. ...second, let's get a mop on that floor and clean this place up. It stinks in here... not like food, but like dirty. The floors are sticky and gross. Windows are smeared, table tops are greasy, always out of something, usually tea... just well, not acceptable. ...lastly, your food is so good but let's make it presentable. It should not look like something out of a garbage disposal when I open the foil to eat my tacos... fresh chips would be a nice change rather than the stale chips you've been serving for the past year... I've never walked in and ordered my own and I've only ordered DoorDash here once so I'm not very familiar with the location or the menu. BUT when I tell you, my shrimp tempura taco looked every bit of picturesque when i opened that thing up - I should've stopped to take a pic but i was just so excited to eat it. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the flavor was on point. Lowkey want to go back for another but I got my food to-go. Also, got a side of chips not realizing I'd get a whole damn bag of them! So tasty and not just the basic salt flavoring. There's some sort of spice mix on top that's not spicy or sweet, but justttt right. Anywho. I clearly love eating! And this was better than I expected. Fair disclosure - I ordered through DoorDash so this is strictly based on food and quality. I had driven past Fuzzy's numerous times and just thought it was a little taco shop, nothing impressive. Then I ordered from them and OMG! I was stuck at work and starving so I whipped out the old Droid and went to DoorDash. I ordered a Grilled Shrimp Burrito, a side of chips with queso and pico de gallo, and a cup of Borracho Beans. I opted for refried beans and lime cilantro rice in my burrito. The burrito was full of flavor and the shrimp were juicy, succulent, and plentiful. My one complaint about most places that offer shrimp in burritos is that they get skimpy due to the cost. This is not the case at Fuzzy's. This burrito was so flavorful that I didn't use the sauce and cheese to do it smothered for the burrito, I used it with my chips. The chips were fresh and seasoned. The seasoning was a very pleasant surprise and I could have just eaten them plain with out the pico, queso, or sauce. The real show stopper for me though is the Borracho Beans. No anyone who knows me is probably saying, "but you don't like beans." It isn't so much that I don't like them, every time I order them out, they are bland. Not the case here. The Borracho Beans are cooked in a mixture of beer and bacon and they are tender and just explode with flavor. Next time I order them, I'm also getting them in my burrito (yes, that is an option). I think next time I will go into the shop so I can update my review. I'm sure with food this good, the service will be right on par with the food score. read more

Really unsatisfied with my dinner. I gave this place a shot because I drive by it almost everyday and we love to support local. I really wanted to like it but the more I ate, the more frustrated I got because I felt like the menu didn't match up to what I was eating. I ordered eight tacos and they were not as described. The flavors were bland and the tacos were soggy and coming apart in my hands. Guac was fine but could use more lime to freshen it up. It was already browning by the time it got to us and I love right down the street about 8-10 mins away. Mix mex rice was really dry and unappetizing. I had two bites and was done. Borracho beans were fine. I've had much better. We got all the shrimp/mahi tacos. Don't try them, just move on. I couldn't tell them apart and just shoved them down my mouth to get dinner over with. Know that they were soggy, lacking flavor and looked nothing like the photos. The only reason I'm giving this two stars is because the ground beef crunchy tacos were fine but I can get that at Taco Bell for $1. The most offending thing about this place is that they don't give you fresh made salsa with your tacos. THAT IS EXTRA $$$. They give you packets of salsa that taste like tobasco sauce. While I was eating our meal, my husband actually said that he would've preferred going to Taco Bell because it would've been cheaper. Look, there are SO MANY AWESOME TACO PLACES IN KC. This is not one of them. The ones I'm talking about will give you that salsa with your corresponding taco for free and then some. read more

18oz ( Jumbo Size) Margaritas for $3 during HH 3-6pm! I went at this location for the drink specials. They offer frozen or on the rocks margaritas. I opt for the frozen but I plan on returning in the future for the on the rocks margs. I ordered 2 grilled fish tacos and 1 shredded chicken tacos. Both tacos were soft shell. There is nothing special about the tacos.The chicken were my least favorite out of the two. It lacked flavor and it was extremely dry. The fish tacos were alright but a bit on the mushy side. I was slightly disappointed that sour cream and salsa are additional cost. At a real authentic Mexican restaurant that would not be the case. read more

One of our favorites! We visited the Lawrence location almost weekly in college, so we were delighted when they opened this location near our house. The chicken nachos, quesadilla, and breakfast tacos are some of our favorites. They put "Fuzzy's dust" on their chips... a blend of spices and salt. I like putting it on their potatoes for extra flavor. Tonight I tried their enchiladas and while good, it doesn't beat their nachos as my typical order. Their rewards program is awesome, and reward $$ add up quickly and I almost always have a free chips and queso reward. We had a great experience at this Fuzzy's. Tasty food and brilliant service. We got there at lunch time on Saturday and the sweet girl working at the counter took the time to help me find something fit my vegan(ish) eating habits. She busted out their food allergen binder and everything. She was great! (Didn't catch her name but she was tall with brown hair pulled back in a ponytail. Hope she gets kudos for excellent customer service.) I ended up getting the veggie tacos (no cheese or garlic sauce) with black beans and cilantro lime rice. The black beans were some of the best I've had in a long time! Excellent flavor. My kid ordered the kids taco meal and my husband got shrimp tacos. Everyone was happy with their food. We'll definitely be keeping Fuzzy's on the short list of restaurants when dining out with the family. Always great to find a place that can feed vegans and carnivores easily. :) read more

Our order wasn't right, but that was no biggie. However, when we ordered we said at least 3 times no cilantro on anything. My husbands food had cilantro and my daughters salad wasn't what she ordered. When my daughter went to pick up the correct items the "cook" and the cashier (who took our order) decided to talk about her hair and her pants being ugly (in Spanish). Hello?!? I guess we didn't "look" like we could speak Spanish. Do better! read more

I liked the fun, colorful, clean and new dining area with lively background music and plenty of TVs. The opening day service was super fast (two minutes) and friendly. My pork hard shell tacos ($2.19 each) were delicious, with plenty of moist, flavorful, shredded pork and fresh toppings. Sliced oranges, limes, and lemons were available. The limes added nice flavor to my tacos. I also noticed mango tea. I was checked on by a manager to make sure everything was okay. This location had outdoor seating, and the discounted refills for my souvenir cup helped with the already reasonable price. Very nice! read more
