We arrived around 9pm to enjoy some sushi, excited because of the excellent reviews this place has received. Service was efficient when we ordered carry-out; we received four rolls, two miso soups, and seaweed salad within 15 minutes. However, our experience upon returning home was disappointing. The salmon rolls were extremely fishy, to the point of gagging and nearly vomiting. The California roll also tasted off. Additionally, none of the rolls were rolled properly and fell apart as we picked them up. The seaweed salad did not meet our expectations either, which was surprising since I love seaweed salad and have never been disappointed before. The miso soup also lacked flavor and seaweed. It seems likely they used old fish that had been sitting out for an extended period of time. We only ate the spider roll, which was cooked, and the only one we enjoyed. Overall, we were very disappointed because sushi is our preferred date night choice, and we enjoy trying new places whenever we visit. We are ending up throwing them away. I wouldn't recommend going to this place after peak hours. read more

This is our hidden gem for a no frills sushi experience. Prices are very fair and the quality is well worth the price. It is quiet and often not extremely busy. They have a variety of creative rolls and appetizers that are very good. Only thing I wish was better is service. Serveral times we have went and the server didn't do the best job keeping drinks full and checking on you. read more

Was so excited to try out Miyake after seeing their menu online! The menu was absolutely STACKED with so many options! I loved our choices but so excited to try more! Cute little spot with a bar to watch the cooks and a nice vibe! We tried three special rolls and each had a house salad. The Alaskan Beauty roll had the most amazing scorched salmon and you could taste the scorch! All 3 rolls had the most amazing eel sauce I've had so far! All fish was so fresh, great texture, and so flavorful! Went for dinner and was pleasantly surprised with how good the Gyozas turned out. They tasted phenomenal and the broth that came with it was really good. While the edamame, gyoza, and sushi was delicious I felt this was pricey for what we received...especially for hungry boys. $12 for 6 pieces of sushi is not in my budget for a teenager and have leaned from my mistake. Service and food are quite good. I like how attentive they are. I usually get something with salmon and it's cooked to perfection. If I had to call out something maybe less sauce on the Salmon Teriyaki. Even though it's offered with white rice to offset flavor it can come a cross as overpowering. The salmon sashimi and nigiri were both quite good and fresh tasting, the salmon teriyaki was tender and perfectly cooked, excellent. The spicy salmon rolls were just average in my opinion. I felt that the taste of the salmon in the rolls was not quite as good. However, the other 3 items more than made up for it. My new favorite sushi spot! We stopped in for our third visit tonight and everything was great yet again. Place very much has a low-key izakaya vibe with about 8 tables and sushi bar seating. Food has consistently been great. Slowly working my way through the specialty rolls and they've been wonderful. The takoyaki is the closest I've had to the sort I had in Osaka. The staff is lovely and the chef has been accommodating to changing some of my rolls (no cucumbers ). They have daily happy hours with apps, rolls and drinks. This place has everything going for it and I hope they start getting the attention they're due. read more

We've been here twice now and felt compelled to write a review. Their fish is the freshest we've had in town, the albacore tuna that was included in the Sushi and Sashimi for 2 was the best we've had ANYWHERE. The pieces were all nicely sliced and thick, each roll tasted great, and there was significant variety for the sashimi (including octopus and sweet shrimp). The salmon avocado roll had a MORE than fair piece of fish inside. The owner remembered us from last time and also threw in a free bowl of fruit as well as an alternative soy sauce (which tasted smokier, it only paired well with certain fish/sushi). We knew the old owners, but the fish was not as quality back then. There was ownership change recently and I can vouch for the increased quality! Definitely worth a try, and is way better than any sushi/sashimi we've tried in the Omaha area (after living here for 24 years)! read more

I gave this place 3 stars only because of my waitress she was way too soft spoken, not very informative, and didn't seem like she wanted to be there at all!! HOWEVER the food was 5 stars! The chefs were amazing and even gave us some complimentary jalapeño type rolls that were so delicious! We had the house salad the dressing was delicious. The dumpling soup was very good. My husband got the beef udon. It was a soup, the noodles were overcooked, the beef had no seasoning, very plain soup. He also has a Godzilla roll average ok. I had the shrimp bento box. The gyoza we're good. This place has a well thought out business model. Just the right size menu to produce the best food items without getting in over their head with balancing supply vs. pricing. The timeliness of ordering to serving was within the acceptable wait range, even though sushi is an art form and shouldn't be rushed. All the items we ordered were reminiscent of the flavors when we lived in Okinawa for a few years. This restaurant deserves our community support and we should help them be successful. My son loved the seafood udon. I will say that the food looked fresh because the site of squiggly tentacles made me squeamish. I would have to say this is some of the best sushi I have had. Everything was very fresh and so yummy! I got the two roll combo for $9.00. (6 each) I thought that was a pretty good deal! The spicy tuna Maki roll was fabulous! It had a little kick to it. The Philly Maki rolls with smoked salmon, avocado, and cream cheese were so yummy, but I thought it was a little to much cream cheese. I liked the Maki rolls because the rice is on the outside and it absorbs my little sauce I make with soy sauce and a tiny bit of wasabi. (It also came with wasabi & thinly sliced ginger.) I loved the ginger; it was so fresh! I also ordered a side of miso soup. It was just average. I can't wait to try many more things in the future! The place is fairly small. Seating is comfortable and casual. A friend suggested this restaurant for a dinner out. We were a party of 6 and were seated promptly. I did make a reservation but they would have been able to accommodate our party without one I am sure. It was a Friday for reference. Everybody ordered something different and it all looked just amazing. We had sake for the table and it was delicious. I had sushi and sashimi for one. The presentation was just lovely. My plate was graced with a fresh orchid which was stunning. There were 2 pieces of several different sashimi. Everything was incredibly fresh and well prepared. The miso soup is delicious as well. it's always risky ordering food from somewhere with minimal reviews, but i did it anyway! i think this is a newer sushi place in the papillion area, and while it wasn't my favorite, i think it's worth trying. i ordered carry out from here and i loved how easy their website was to use. although i believe it's cheaper if you call them instead! i got an order of pork gyoza, a spicy tuna, and a spicy california roll. i'm going to be honest, all three dishes were seriously lacking in flavor and overall pretty bland. i've had grocery store sushi that's better. but, the prices are really fair especially for sushi and they were really fast. i might try some other rolls here again. read more
