I got sat down at a dirty table with my family and then they cleaned another table for us to sit at and they then decided to mess up me and my sons order. We ordered hotdogs and got hamburgers and we were one of the only ones there. And the waitress was very passive aggressive. Such as being mad after I had asked got another second to look at the menu. And when I went up to ask where my food was after waiting for 25 minutes there were workers without hairnets specifically the women with long hair. When I finally got my food there was hair and the food was raw. Will not try again. read more

A classic NEPA hot dog joint! Very casual with friendly servers. Not fine dining, just great dogs, burgers, etc.

The hotdogs slap, and the corn fritters always hit the spot. If you aren't getting Everything Dogs you ain't living!

Favorite hot dogs in the valley. Spicy meat sauce compared to Abe's WB. So it's more preference than saying one is better than the other because they are both good. I just prefer Abe's Kingston. Do a hot dog taste test in the valley to see for yourself. Good luck! read more

it was my first time going, I was extremely excited to try the chili cheese hot dogs. But I was then extremely disappointed when I received it because it was white American cheese !!! ( y'all need to understand I'm upset about this) I've never been to a place that has put white American cheese on a hot dog, it was not Swiss either! just disappointed the hot dog itself was pretty good, they lost me with the cheese. Best dogs in NEPA. Literally. I get the same thing every time. One everything hotdog, bag of chips, and medium RC. The everything hotdog has mustard, onions, and chili (no beans). There's something about the chili here. The buns are steamed before served. Make sure before you stop in, you bring cash. It's a cash only establishment. There is a bank across the street if worst comes to worst. Of the four locations, I much enjoy this one the best :) read more

This cute hot dog place looks like it has been a part of the community for a long time. Absolutely nothing fancy. It probably looks the same as it did 40 years ago. It is cash only and has a limited hot dog/burger joint type menu, but what they do have is always hot and fresh. Abe's hot dogs are the best thing about living in the Wyoming Valley. They have the best hot dogs by far. This location even has a drive thru. They have other things on the menu as well. My husband, who is not a hot dog person, gets the chicken tender basket. read more

Drove over to Abe's from Wilkes Barre for 4 hotdogs. Was advised that in order to use debit card, order had to be a minimum $10. Agreed to purchase 6, paid and drove back to Wilkes Barre. They only gave us 4 hotdogs but charged us for 6. Our mistake for not checking the bag before we left to make sure 6 were in there. We'll stick to Ferris's next time. read more

My wife and I went there for lunch and were the only customers at first. Then 3 more couples came in. The food came out quickly but the sauce was burnt and hard. The fries were the best thing for sure and that's because the waitress brought our check to us and never came back after that. Was finishing our food and needed a refill on the drink and never received one. Sat there for a god 10 minutes as waitress went to the other 3 with their drinks and the one couple she even gave a refill to as well. So we went to pay and cashier asked how was everything and I said food great but service HORRIBLE. Then these people wonder why NO TIP!! That's the reason why because you take care of your customers and you get what you deserve, you don't take care of them and you won't get anything or what you deserve. Not a good experience for my first time there. Will I go back?? Not, certain of that but, can't judge on first impression but, not looking good. read more

I love Abes. The food is always delicious. I usually get 2 cheese dogs, a sprite, and some fries.

Not much to say about the ambiance of this place, nothing special about the sides or the drinks or anything. Basically tasty. But let me tell you something. Get the everything hot dog. Someone on yelp called it chili, but to my recolection, it's either Abe's sauce, or Meat sauce. Whatever you call it, it's amazing. Definitely a cult favorite in the valley. Take a bag of these to kirby park and enjoy summer. I agree with other yelpers. There's no other hot dog like it. Nathans is crap. Where else are you gonna go? The little league dugout? (not that those hot dogs are bad... they're also great. but alas, sporadic.) read more

26 minutes of waiting even though they weren't very busy. (2 diners together inside and 2 cars in drive-through) None of the food was good. The Abe's sauce was really nasty. Not even the fries were good. This location doesn't deserve the Abe's name. read more

Not feeling the same love other Yelpers have! I knew from the moment I saw that they serve RC products that this wasn't going to end well! The fries were good but my 3 dogs with everything looked like they were made hours ago and kept in a steamer. Nothing great about the wieners themselves just super cheap meat.
