This review is long overdue, but I'm actually glad I'm writing it more than a year after my surgery…read morebecause it gives me even more perspective and appreciation for Dr. Larian and his practice. I traveled from out of town to see Dr. Larian after consulting with two other doctors in my area who did not impress me with their knowledge or recommendations. From the moment I met Dr. Larian, I was immediately impressed by his bedside manner, friendliness, and professionalism. He took the time to thoroughly explain my condition, discuss his recommendations, and review possible outcomes. He answered all of my questions with patience and respect, and by the end of the consultation, I knew without hesitation that he was the right provider for me. His credentials and experience certainly speak for themselves as well. Following surgery, my recovery was more challenging than expected, and I encountered some unforeseen issues. Throughout this difficult time, Dr. Larian was incredibly supportive and attentive. He stayed in close contact, monitored my progress, and continued to support me until everything was fully resolved. That level of care and commitment truly meant a great deal to me. Today, I am fully recovered and extremely grateful to Dr. Larian for the excellent care he provided. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, skilled, and genuinely kind physician. I would not hesitate to see him again if ever needed. Thank you so much Dr. Larian!

I was referred to him for a second opinion for a CSF leak, and he was one of the most dismissive physicians I have encountered. Myself and my advocate were trying to explain my history, my medical conditions, and he would interrupt and "shush" us. He had no interest in listening, and blatantly didn't review any of my medical history /files. He did not provide a proper review of my medical history, medications, or even a review of my systems. It was extremely disappointing and upsetting.

This entire hospital where he works they will simply just have you removed off the earth if you don't have billions of $doe. I was promised a neurosurgeon would be present during the procedure. That was a lie. I was promised by the neurosurgeon that my V2 nerve would not be damaged. That was a lie. This man Mr. Wu cut and removed tissue from the sinus cavity knowing it would not grow back thus leaving a void in my cranial area. Tissue could have been easily garnered from the stomach or any other area of body fat but that was a little too much to do for someone with all those credentials. The same ill feelings this doctor had for me is right back at him and all the bad luck that he put on me I hope it magnifies 10x or greater on him and his generation. His negligence is abhorrent and I started to get off that gurney at 1st mind because his 2 cultural nurses could not even get an iv started in this African American arm. This is the degree of hate and disregard this culture has for even their own culture as communists. I was warned by an elder ENT and read bad things about this hospital if you are not a billionaire client. I'm warning yelp observers run from this man if you want a cocky attitude deviated septum, esophagus infection, nerve tingling in your lips hard pallet and jaw, a nasal voice upon a classically trained opera singer, sensitive to light and a closed eye. Run from him!

He is a master of his ENT craft. Highly knowledgeable and just as caring. Most physicians we've encountered don't review a patient's information, until the actual visit. Dr. Rafii was beyond well prepared. The office is very well run. Thanks, Practice Manager, Brandon. If you need ENT attention and/or value your vocal health, no reason to go elsewhere.

All the other doctors were booked out two weeks and had layers upon layers of bureaucracy, but Dr. Raffi's practice is "concierge" and made an appointment for me at the end of his day so I ran to Beverly Hills. His appointment cost was only 25 dollars more than my local doctors and I didn't have to wait. After several vocal tests and inspection, found I hadn't lost my voice but had a "lesion" on my vocal cord! He stuck all the cameras and the scopes all around my throat and through my nose and everything until I saw a freaking PICTURE of this thing in the screen. Soon we scheduled the surgery, and I am recovering as we speak (no pun intended). His staff is pretty cool and very accommodating, and Brandon, his scheduler is pretty cool and always dresses nice. The nurses are kind and prompt as well. I had a question once and tried to call outside operating hours and Dr. Raffi even called me on his personal cell phone promptly afterwards. I don't think one can expect much better than this...

He goes through the motions of doing procedures so that he can "upcharge" insurance companies…read more This affects your medical records by documenting conditions that you NEVER HAD. He turned a $200 appointment just for a basic checkup (for one initial bout of vertigo) into a high insurance cost surgical appointment by scraping out a 7mm tiny, paper thin piece of wax in one ear in under 20 seconds and calling it a "removal of soft tissue growth in ear canal" and then, if that weren't enough, he went into the other ear with a tweezer saying there is "a little hair" in here and then fumbling the tweezer when I asked to see it, dropping the invisible hair that it supposedly held. That "little hair" was charged to insurance as "removal of FOREIGN BODY in ear"!!! He did this while I was in his chair without any explanation and just said "stay still". Did he take advantage of me because, as a long time patient, he knew I trusted him and that I had excellent 100% coverage insurance? Who knows? Many people do not pay attention to their insurance notifications, so he likely gets away with it. While I am well aware that many doctors are struggling with cutbacks in insurance payments, it is not fair to the patient to UPCHARGE/UPCODE insurance companies while permanently ALTERING A PATIENT'S PERSONAL MEDICAL RECORDS IN THE PROCESS!! In order to justify the SURGICAL charges to my insurance, he manufactured a RARE ear condition which I DO NOT HAVE and have NEVER HAD to explain the "growth" he supposedly removed from my ear canal. (No cutting, no blood and no stitches, just a 20 second scrape I didn't even feel) Then, he altered his chart notes to reflect his findings. If you go to this doctor, ask him to tell you what he is doing and why, BEFORE he does anything and read your insurance notifications as soon as they come in! You don't want your medical records to reflect ear surgeries that you didn't need and never had!!
