This company is flat out GREEDY and SICK. My mom reached out to ABI because of a flyer she received that advertised "Lowest Price". She is ELDERLY and speaks VERY LIMITED ENGLISH but they sent out two salespeople, Ari and Chris, who SPENT 4 HOURS AT HER HOME and in the end got her to sign a multi-page contract that she DID NOT UNDERSTAND nor could read, all while NEVER OFFERING a family member or translator to be present as they keep trying to claim after the fact, or giving her the option to consider the contract or review it with someone before signing. To this day, she has never been made aware of what the terms of the contract were and cannot read it. My mom was charged nearly $34,000 for roofing on a ~2600 sq ft. roof, quoted another $6000 for the gutter. We had two other roofing companies, including a C-39 roofing specialist look over the contract and the roofing in-person, and both agreed the high end of the job to be $26,000-28,000 INCLUDING the gutters. That's a $10,000 upcharge on the high end of another roofing company. She felt, at some point before the job begun, that she had been TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF, grossly overcharged, and was CHEATED into signing a contract for an unreasonably high price, something she was not comfortable with. She had an acquaintance reach out to the company on her behalf and try to cancel the contract and ABI refused to cancel it, stating it was beyond the 3 day cancellation period. What they didn't mention or honor was a cancellation clause of the contract that allows for cancellations after 3 days with a penalty/charge. Instead, they didn't giving her the option and refused to cancel the job, again taking advantage of my mom for not understanding the terms of the contracts or her right to cancel. They went ahead and sent contractors to do the roofing on her house DESPITE HER DISSATISFACTION with the cost and attempt to cancel and cited the fact that she did not "call the police to trespass them" as an indication that she was fine with the job. No elder immigrant lady with limited english would even consider that, and it's absurd to act like that was a reasonable indication of her wanting the roofing done. My mom contacted their salesperson multiple times through text and call before and during the job to try to ask for a fairer price, and was ignored on EVERY attempt. In the end, my mom felt PRESSURED, POWERLESS, and EXPLOITED. She deeply regrets ever entering into a contract with ABI, who did not give her the dignity of honoring what was clearly listed on the contract as a right for her to cancel and made her feel like she had to go through with the roofing and paying for it. I firsthand experienced the tone and emotionality of their salesperson when they came by to ask my mom to sign off on the completion of the job and found it extremely pushy, whiny, and unprofessional. Then, I got a call from Michael B trying to frame the situation as "buyer's remorse" which was deeply offensive and disrespectful to someone who is clearly expressing they feel cheated and taken advantage of and arguing against every question or clarification I asked for. To top it off, when I tried to end the call, they decided to THREATEN ME LEGALLY, stating my reviews I've posted go "beyond libel and defamation", according to their so called lawyer who they had spoken to already. This, in itself, says everything you need to know about how this company operates. They'll use scare tactics to try to get you to take down a review, rather than putting in any effort to make things right. Rotten company. Rotten ethics. TOTALLY UNCONSCIONABLE. It's disgusting to me that a company could operate this way and act so entitled to taking advantage of an old person all while trying to convince everyone they didn't do anything wrong. It seems like all they care about on here is being right, using dismissive language to paint every bad review to be "misleading", "false", "inaccurate" and deny any possibility of wrongdoing to avoid accountability, all probably so they can keep their dirty money. Michael B: One quick search "In California, elders are defined as persons 60 years and older. Under California law, elder abuse can be both criminal and civil." There's no use focusing on semantics to be right and spending so much time reframing the situation to benefit yourself. Our home needed a new roof and a new air condition which was on the roof. But we didn't want the new air conditioner to be installed on the roof. A couple of years ago a neighbor had their roof replaced and I was impressed with the obvious quality, so I asked the gentleman for his business card. I'm so glad I called Roof Buddy. They responded quickly and sent out their area representative, Jose who is an incredibly knowledgeable young man. Jose was respectful, patient, considerate, friendly. Jose came to our home and thoroughly inspected the roof, took measurements and pictures. Jose showed us samples of their Owens Corning Shingles that we really liked. Jose devised a plan of action to accomplish all the work that needed to be done. We gave Jose the ok to start the job and Jose and his staff kept us informed as to what was happening and when it would happen. This review is going to mainly speak about my current experience in trying to get a quote from them. They haven't worked on my roof or anything so I cannot attest to the quality of that kind of service, but I wouldn't recommend trying to work with them in general. So first off, I get a mailer before the end of 2023. "Need a new roof?" Why yes, I do! I call and set up an appointment for someone to come and give me a quote. I also mention the end of year promotion they have which was on the mailer. We set up an appointment for early January 2024, and they said they would honor the promotion. The day comes for the inspection/estimate. A short Asian women shows up. I believe her name is Sam. She was nice and thorough, but she took up a decent amount of our time. She also went inside our house to look at the attic, which I found interesting because I have gotten other quotes at this point and none of them have asked to look inside our attic. Maybe they were being thorough? Unsure. At this point, I was willing to work with ABI Construction because I think having female contractors is pretty cool. However, now it's been 2+ months past the inspection, and I have not received a quote or estimate. I even called them last month asking where the heck is my quote (politely, of course). And they said they'd talk to Sam and get back to me. And of course, they did not get back to me, which is very frustrating. I don't even want the quote anymore lol I just feel like they wasted my time more than once. It is very unprofessional to say you will get back to me and then never get back to me. I have checked my spam folder and nothing is there. I even offered on the phone to give them my email once more, but nothing. What's the point of sending out a mailer to my house, when they don't even want my business? EDIT: They reached out to me and finally gave me my quote, and Samantha personally apologized for not following up after she sent the review. Amazing construction company. Had them replace my roof in early December. They not only had the job done in 4 days, but it was done in a total of 9 hours of total work time. The delay for that 4 day period was only to get the permits cleared and materials delivered. otherwise they would have been able to do the job in 1 day. I called in response to a mail flyer that offered several things including: "Lowest prices GUARANTEED (and get $750 off!)" "FREE estimates valid for up to 2 years" These two promises are certainly areas where they didn't deliver. First off, they offer a "premium" product at a premium price, meaning quite high in comparison to other vendors. It's fair to say that the manufacturer of the product offers a warranty that does exceed most vendors, but is that worth a high price tag of 30% to 50% over what other roofers are offering? I'll leave that up to you to decide, but be warned their guaranteed lowest prices come with this heavy caveat that they will justify the high price tag and counter that it is a "premium product." The second issue that I have with this company is generally in the realm of false advertising. They say they will deliver a quote that they will honor for 2 years. To this, I will say that I signed a contract for work back in March 2025. The work was quoted in March 2025, so no delay from quote to contract. Approximately 4-6 weeks after signing the contract they said that I must sign a change to the contract and the price was going up by 20% over the contracted price because their sub-contractor that was to provide services to remove and re-install my solar panels was suddenly charging them "much more" for the same work. Because of this issue with their sub-contractor, they told me that I would be required to sign a price increase or they would not be able to deliver on their original contracted price. So, needless to say, they didn't honor their 2 year valid estimate and refused to honor a contracted price for even one month, much less two years. They eventually came back to me and said they would give me a "highly discounted" price to paint my house if I bundled the two jobs together and that would enable them to move forward with their proposed 20% increased price on the roofing contract. Turns out their "highly discounted" price to paint the house was in the realm of $27k (just paint, no work on the rain gutters) plus the original $33k for roofing plus the $6.6k price increase over the original $33k...basically $40k total for the roof work. Total for both jobs is $67k for paint and a new roof. We are talking about a basic 1500sq ft house with solar panels, so you have an idea of how much they want for their work. I have a signed contract to back up these numbers for the roofing and a quote from their sales person to back up the painting numbers, so I can prove all of what I say. I refused to sign another contract for the additional painting work because they still haven't even started doing any work on the first contract and are still demanding that I sign a modification for the 20% increase over their contracted price for the roof work. It is now 3 1/2 months past contract signing and they refuse to honor their contracted promise to deliver product and services for an agreed price. This company cannot be trusted to deliver on their contracted pricing and will try multiple tactics to strong-arm you for more money over and above their already extremely high prices. Don't trust them and avoid their services at all cost. You have been warned. read more

The whole thing feels very predatory. Be careful and ALWAYS get multiple quotes from different companies! We bought our house in November with the knowledge that we would need to replace the back flat roof in the next few years. After a lot of rain, we decided we needed to push up the timeline and get this taken care of. We received a mailer from ABI and scheduled a free estimate with them as well as with two local contractors. The two local guys quoted around 5k for the back roof and were not pushy or trying to get us to book right away. ABI rescheduled multiple times and eventually came when only my husband was available. I'm not sure if this is how the company operates or if Ron went rogue, but when my husband told me they said we had less than a year with our FULL roof (not just the back flat portion) I knew it was a scam. If the main roof was actually in bad shape, the other guys would have told us. In fact, one told me we had about five years left due to age - and don't forget, we recently bought this house and had a full inspection! Needless to say, my husband mentioned these inconsistencies to Ron, who had no real reasoning behind the stark contrast in opinions, and got him out of our house. Not that we would have worked with this company either way, but they were also 50% HIGHER than the other quotes for the flat roof and 100% higher for the full roof. The company called me today to ask for feedback. I was honest about our opinions of Ron and the company as a whole. She asked if price was our reason for going elsewhere... NO. It's trust. I don't trust you guys. Even if they offered the lowest price, who's to say they don't add on extra fees and charges for "new issues" they discover while working? I'm not going to test the theory. I asked her if this was Ron behaving badly or if the company generally behaved like this - she couldn't say because she doesn't know what the training is like for the roof guys. Interesting response. Ultimately, I think this company hopes to get calls from people who haven't researched roof repairs and takes advantage by making them think there is a serious issue and then charging them and arm and a leg to resolve it. It has been a full month now and we still have not heard from them about a start date, nor a reason why. Very disappointed so far. Two employees came they were both polite and professional. We requested an estimate and were told they would send one by email. They were here on Wednesday and were aware we had other companies coming for comparison. We did not receive nor have we received an estimate yet, five days later. We called and emailed a request and were reassured that it would be available that day. We have been waiting a long time to finally take care of our house's exterior wall which was dirty and dated. The sales person Houman gave such an in-depth and educational presentation that really was an eye opener to the type of protection and durability paint could be. So while the investment was more than we had planned, they offered payment plans which made it affordable. During the whole process there were many people involved but communication was always well streamed between their field and office team. Marcus always texted me updates and responded quick. The painters were very respectful to our property, covered our stuff, cleaned up well, and always notified us when they arrived or were leaving. I called ABI to get a quote on exterior painting. When Houman arrived to do the estimate, I asked about quoting the windows instead since they were old single-panes and drafty. Without issues, he proceeded to count and measure the windows. He did a quick demo of the features the windows will have using a small sample window. The next day, Sam called and scheduled a 2nd measurement of the windows. Once the windows were received, Sam scheduled the installation to fit my schedule. Installation day came and the guys unloaded the windows, covered nearby furniture and floors. They quickly removed the old windows and installed the new windows. It only took a day for 3 guys to do 11 windows (4 on the 1st floor, 7 on the 2nd floor) without sacrificing quality. The windows themselves are great. They are Simonton Madeira grid-less double-pane, double-slider windows, with slight tint. Traffic noise is no longer noticeable and the temperature is consistent. The sliding action is smooth and light. They also look great. read more

Be careful if considering to use them. This occurred in October 2023. No one was home when they delivered the roof material in a huge construction truck. They pulled into my driveway without my permission & damaged it. They refused to repair my driveway. They also refused to deduct money from the balance I owed them. They did a sloppy/messy job. There was black stuff on the white metal flashing. They did not pick up all the trash/debri from when the old roof was removed. One of the employees tried to clean the black stuff off the white metal flashing & ended up dropping my Ring Flash Light. He didn't even bother to tell me that he dropped it much less pick it up. read more
