Not a very good experience. They seemed to be understaffed , and if that was the case then they should have a manager/host managing the flow of sitting time in the restaurant. Drinks were wrong and the coffee was cold which took a long time to get. Then when the food was ordered it took around 40 mins to finally receive it and it was not right. There are three locations the ones in Covington and Abita have more menu items and the third in Madisonville (it was actually the second location I believe) that has less menu items but over looks the river. My only negative is they have an app but I always forget to get them to scan the app before I pay. Once you pay, there is not way to credit your account. My husband and I have been coming here consistently for 3 years since we moved to the North shore. Love their environment (beautiful outdoor patio with seating) and menu options. They are busy at peak periods just like every other joint in the area, which is understandable. The staff is always hard working and friendly, no matter who we get. Overall an enjoyable experience every time. Only two small things to improve in my opinion: their espresso beverages can be inconsistent depending on who makes it, and I also wish there were an adult chicken tender meal for my childish husband. I believe you can order it off menu but it comes out to $15, which isn't worth it for the portion size you get. read more

The food was okay. COVID precautions were lacking to say the least. The employees wore masks but the clean up after guests left was Very minimal. The dishes were removed and the table wiped off with a DRY cloth. The tables were not even wiped down with any type of sanitizer between guests. I watched this on 3 different tables. This location of ARC is a great addition to the chain. It may not have the view that the Madisonville location has, but the food here is downright awesome. I stumbled upon this location one eafternoon when the restaurant I intended to try was unexpectedly closed. Knowing how much I love the other two locations, my oldest and I parked and went in. The restaurant is located in the older section of Covington, but the building appeared brand new. There was ample parking, outdoor seating and lots of space. The building is divided into two different sections. The first is a typical coffee shop, but the second is a full service restaurant. I've been three times and the food has always been excellent. Often a restaurant that serves both breakfast and lunch succeeds at one type of food and fails at the other. ARC does a great job with both. The burgers that I have tried had hand formed patties, were cooked perfectly and could be ranked among the best in St. Tammany. The breakfast omelettes are large, but have a great filling to egg ratio that is very important when making a great omelet. My one gripe is that the service is not consistent. On my first visit my server was phenomenal, the second visit was downright bad and the third was friendly, but left us somewhat abandoned. Considering that I had the same server on the first and third visit, I guess she was just having a bad day, but these inconsistencies are what prevents me from giving the full five stars. There is truly something here for everyone! From the breakfast menu thru brunch & dinner, the flavors and excitement will have you wanting it all! Today we had the Cinnamon French Toast Crunch, the breakfast sandwich meal, the fried green tomatoes, Coffee, and the grand marnier mimosa. Yes must tell you all of it was good, but the Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and the fried green tomatoes were AMAZING!! When I tell you amazing, I mean AMAZING!! I could eat this everyday!! You can't go wrong here, trust me!! From the burgers, to the unique offerings here, it would take you months to try it all and figure out your favorites. Our server Austin was GREAT, and everyone here is always helpful and friendly. The only issue I have is that they are seating at full capacity and have no Covid spacing. This place was packed on a Sunday morning, which I expected. However, there were still lots of open tables, so I think the staff just can't keep up with the restaurant at full capacity. We didn't mind waiting, although the hostess was really unfriendly, not welcoming, and did not seem to know what she was doing. When we were finally seated, the hostess took drink orders. Some of the drinks eventually showed up. A waitress came around eventually and fixed the drink orders that never showed up. The coffee was good, which I expected it to be from a place that roasts their own! Nothing amazing though. As for the food, I did enjoy my crepes and side "breakfast salad" which I think is a cool brunch idea. The service was really lacking. Nothing friendly, super long waits, and seemingly no reason for it as the crowd began to thin. They could definitely do better. They could also start by making the menu smaller. There are just so many options - and it's not necessary. Streamline that menu and I think service would improve. The atmosphere is also not great. Plasticy-material chairs that are industrial looking wasn't what I was expecting. The old cottage atmosphere of the Madisonville location is much more welcoming. Overall, the food was good enough but it's nothing to rave about. I look forward to trying the Madisonville location again when it becomes a full restaurant. read more

The restaurant was about a third full inside and outside. Hostesses seemed confused about available seating space and were bringing folks to dirty tables. Awkward. We were seated with menus we wiped our wet table with napkins and a waiter approached for our drink order. Drinks came out we ordered lunch. Oh, the drinks were definitely once and done, we never saw him again. Food was good, the kitchen made up for the front staff. That is why I gave three stars. We went for the first time today. The waiter greeted us immediately and let us choose our seat outside. I had a mushroom burger. I've had a lot of burgers but this was by FAR the best I've ever tasted! My daughter got the Cali panini and absolutely loved it! Hubby got the club sandwich and said it was good. I'd recommend trying this restaurant out. It's not simply a coffee shop! We were crazy to try this place at 11:15 on a Sunday, but we will definitely be back. There was a half hour wait for a table and it was packed. The coolest part about this place is there is a coffee bar right when you walk in. They have baked goodies and hot or iced coffee, as well as smoothies and tea drinks, so I was able to get a cafe au lait to warm up from the rain as we waited for a table. Be forewarned that there is no place to sit inside as you wait, but you're given a buzzer so on a nice day you could probably snag one of the tables or chairs outside. Our server was super sweet and efficient. My husband got the chicken caesar wrap and I got the blueberry thrill crepe with carrot soufflé as my side (which was worth the trip alone). Initially my crepe didn't come with the basil chiffonade but when our server came back to check on us after the runner brought the food, she quickly rectified this by bringing me a cup of basil not a minute later. It was good that they hadn't simply run out because the basil made this dish! The herbal flavor really helped cut the otherwise overwhelming sweetness. I highly recommend this place. In my opinion, it is the best local sit-down breakfast place in Covington. Waiter-I'm not sure what his name was, but he was very cheerful the whole time with my party of 18 hungry people. Food- everything was priced well and scrumptious. I highly recommend their chicken and waffles or their New Orleans style French toast. Both were amazing. Not a crumb was left of either. Service and cleanliness- the service was quick and the bathrooms, dishes, and tables were super clean. Poorly operated, mass confusion. Not enough staff, the staff complains about not having enough help. There doesn't seem to be anyone in charge that is making sure the restaurant is running properly. I have been to this place several times but things have started to go down hill. It's a shame too because the food is good but if you're a restaurant and can't turn table you aren't going to be successful. read more
