My husband and I don't go out very often due to being vegetarian In a meat derived city. We seen online they had options for us to "try". We went in and were seated in a booth towards the back kitchen, in front of a booth filled with what I'm guessing is the staff's personal belongings taking residence . The host was very mute with only the words "follow me" as she sat us with menus. We sat there looking through the menu for over 10 minutes and not one server came over to greet us. No one brought us drinks or even acknowledged us. It was a Saturday night but it was early and not very busy. I only seen two servers walking around. Saw the great reviews and was anxious to try this place but was sorely disappointed. Tom kha soup was tasteless. There was hardly any flavor of coconut and 2 giant chunks of chicken. Also ordered satay chicken and it was the same. Good quality chicken on the stick but it was just that, a piece of chicken on a stick. Tender but no flavor at all. The sauce was fine but there was only enough for 1-1/2 sticks and it comes with 4. My husband got the hot and sour soup and said pretty much the same- no flavor and it looked like dishwater. Really good food. There are always many options for Asian cuisine and this was recommended by some friends of ours. I read the other Yelp reviews and took a chance. It worked. We had a long day of driving around North Georgia and this place was close by where we were staying while visiting here. First the ambiance is quiet and low key which was perfect for us. The service was fast, friendly, and responsive. My tea glass was not empty for long. It is not a large restaurant but it was busy for a Sunday evening. They had several people come in for take out which is always a good sign. There were 4 in our party and we were seated immediately. I ordered the crab Rangoon appetizer and decided on the Triple delight. My wife got a Lo Mein dish with chicken to share and our other guest ordered a sushi roll (caterpillar roll, I think). Sorry I tried to like it but the quality of The food in ably is possibly frozen and reheated. Something is not right with it. The rice taste weird like old steam water. The noodles in lo mein is soggy and the taste is funny like with preservatives is added or something. It taste soapy. The sweet sour pork has little tiny bites. I peeled the breading off and it has these small 1/4" pieces in side. It is all breading and some are hard and some are firm. Not at all like it should be. Ive been to China and have eaten at some authentic restaurants. This Ably food is worse then fast food buffet. Nice seating and ambiance but I think that is a cover for unhealthy foods. Also I believe the seafood is farm raised which is very bad for us all. Sorry but not sorry. The food sucks. I paid $63 for almost nothing and it was all awful. I was very skeptical as the menu is quite extensive with Chinese, Thai, and Japanese cuisine, and even a Sushi Chef. We chose to order Chinese food. Mom had the Mongolian beef , wonton soup, and an egg roll. My wife had the Shrimp with mixed vegetables, and I had the Kung Pao Three Stars with hot and sour soup and an egg roll. The service was very good and fast. The food was fantastic and our server was polite, attentive, and friendly. The restaurant although small, was very cozy and very clean. We will definitely be coming back whenever we are in town. We have been craving Chinese food for quite awhile. Where we live, there are numerous Chinese restaurants and they all suck. read more

I really enjoyed this place. I've passed through Jasper countless times over the years on the way to see family. I even went to the burger spot right across the parking lot without realizing this absolute gem was here this entire time! The portion sizes are more than adequate and the prices are as easy to swallow as the food. I initially asked for a dish with duck, but I do not believe any dishes with duck are on the menu at this time. The Crab Rangoon had such a pleasant crunch to them. It really complimented the inner creaminess. The sauce wasn't sickly sweet either, so that was nice. I can't recall the name of one of the sushi rolls, but I imagine showing the picture to the waitstaff would get an answer. I recommend both! The Futo Maki was a pleasant experience. The meat in the Mongolian Three Stars was tender and the flavors were exactly as they're supposed to be. The vegetables were cooked well, too. Some restaurants don't cook them long enough, but that wasn't a problem here. I had leftovers that were just as delicious the next day. My wife's favorite dish in the world is Massaman Chicken Curry. She was very pleased with how they prepared it here. The waitstaff were quite friendly. They did a great job of striking the balance between being attentive and not being overcrowding. I have been a loyal customer to this restaurant for years and today on Christmas Eve they refused to serve me because I have a gluten allergy. It's not my fault that I have an allergy and I know we live in a world where most think this is my problem and don't want to be bothered with it. But they ruined my Christmas Eve with my family. My years of eating there and supporting them are over. Our group ordered the egg rolls, basil spring rolls, egg drop soup and soft shell crab entree. The Egg rolls were deliciously light and crispy-not oily at all. When dipped in the peanut sauce, the basil spring rolls were amazing. My husband relished the spicy soft shell crab entre. He also ordered a spicy crab(?) salad with just the right amount of spicy kick. Service was fast. However, my girlfriend did not like her egg drop soup at all. She only took one small taste. When she told the server that the soup seemed oily, the server argued with her & said there was no oil in the soup. He did not offer an alternative nor offer to take the soup off the bill. If the other ordered food were not so tasty, this would have been reason to never visit this establishment again. However, as ethnic food is so very limited here, we most likely will stop again. My wife ordered Sweet and Sour Pork and was served fried pork with sweet and sour sauce on the side. When I told the waitress that this is not sweet and sour pork she said, "that's how we serve it". Then I called the manager over to tell him the same and showed him the picture of sweet and sour pork on Google images and my wife told him she lived in HongKong for many years and that this is not sweet and sour pork, his reply was, "this is America, this is how it's made here". We told him we've eaten in many Asian restaurants and that's not how it's served. Then the waitress said, "I have been working in Asian restaurants for 20 years and that's how they all make it". My wife told her that we have eaten many times in Buford Ga where there's many authentic Asian restaurants and that's not how they serve it. The manager's reply was "well, that's how we make it". I drive almost an hour from Ellijay to eat here. It's that good! We don't have any decent Asian cuisine in Ellijay. The sushi is always good. But not available on Sundays. My son loved his roast duck and pineapple curry. He loved the nam saad salad. I enjoy the Tom kai gai soup. They have great sake chilled and hot. I usually go for a hot pot of tea myself. They have a mixed menu of Chinese,Thai and Japanese. Service is always spot on and friendly. I've never had one bad meal here.
