Dr Jim is such a great eye doctor. He has helped my husband and I for years. The knowledge he has is amazing and he is so giving of it. You can count on him to advise you of what your problems might be and offer you complete explanations and what should be done to improve the situation. He is also a very comforting man and will bring the anxiety down if it is a serious issue. He advised me recently with an eye problem I had never heard of and I was very concerned but Dr. Jim calmed me down and said get to the ER right away for an evaluation as this was not his specialty. I went and all is well with my eye. Give Dr. Jim a visit and his manager Jessica is always very sweet and will help you with anything that you may need. She has been with him for a long time. Sara also works there as of last month and she seems very nice. Anyway a long overdue review but I'm so thankful for Dr Jim Weyrich and urge you to put your eyes in his care. I was getting desperate, looking for an eye clinic or optometrics; I had already visited 3 that I have gone to in the past, one of them my "regular" eye doctor, and none could take me for an exam for 5 days to a week. Not only was Dr. Weyrich able to see me and give me a pretty thorough eye exam, he tested me for the focal point between both eyes and found out that I had some misalignment, (due possibly, I think, to some eye injury many years ago) and wrote my new prescription with regards to this. He also added a prism to my prescription, which is something that absolutely NO ONE has ever tested me for, before; I have been wearing corrective lenses since the third grade, 'way back in the early '60s! Then (again, something no one has ever done before), he showed me the glasses frames that were available that would be optimum for my prescription, and actually explained why "this one would work better than that one", why that one was ... okay, but "this one was better ..." He's good with our shared horrible near-sightedness, my unusually-tilted stigmatism, and he even found my intracranial hypertension (IH), meaning we caught what can be a debilitating and even life-threatening disorder so early that it can be easily controlled with a water pill. I am very near sighted and have very high power contacts and very thick glasses in addition to stigmatism. Very hard to fit and correct. I will never have 20/20. I have been to many eye Dr's tried mono vision (as if it wasn't bad enough I need reading glasses due to my age), hard lenses I have tried EVERYTHING. By the time I got to about eyes I was more than frustrated with my vision correction and had given up hopes of seeing clearly. REMARKABLE, and above all I could ask or think of is what the Dr. did. He found out the previous Dr. sized my eyeball wrong just to name a few errors he caught between the glasses and contacts! I see so much clearer now I was crying for joy. No kidding. I ripped a contact while at work and came over on my lunch prepared to pay for contacts and the front desk gal (I'm sorry I forgot her name but she's the only one there) gave me a trial box free of charge.
